Jesus Appears at the Sea of Galilee
After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself.

Danach offenbarte sich Jesus den Jüngern noch einmal, am See von Tiberias, und er offenbarte sich in folgender Weise.
There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.
Simon Petrus, Thomas, genannt Didymus, Natanaël aus Kana in Galiläa, die Söhne des Zebedäus und zwei andere von seinen Jüngern waren zusammen.
Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.
Simon Petrus sagte zu ihnen: Ich gehe fischen. Sie sagten zu ihm: Wir kommen auch mit. Sie gingen hinaus und stiegen in das Boot. Aber in dieser Nacht fingen sie nichts.
But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.
Als es schon Morgen wurde, stand Jesus am Ufer. Doch die Jünger wussten nicht, dass es Jesus war.
Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.
Jesus sagte zu ihnen: Meine Kinder, habt ihr keinen Fisch zu essen? Sie antworteten ihm: Nein.
And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
Er aber sagte zu ihnen: Werft das Netz auf der rechten Seite des Bootes aus und ihr werdet etwas finden. Sie warfen das Netz aus und konnten es nicht wieder einholen, so voller Fische war es.
Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.
Da sagte der Jünger, den Jesus liebte, zu Petrus: Es ist der Herr! Als Simon Petrus hörte, dass es der Herr sei, gürtete er sich das Obergewand um, weil er nackt war, und sprang in den See.
And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.
Dann kamen die anderen Jünger mit dem Boot — sie waren nämlich nicht weit vom Land entfernt, nur etwa zweihundert Ellen — und zogen das Netz mit den Fischen hinter sich her.
As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.
Als sie an Land gingen, sahen sie am Boden ein Kohlenfeuer und darauf Fisch und Brot liegen.
Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.
Jesus sagte zu ihnen: Bringt von den Fischen, die ihr gerade gefangen habt!
Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.
Da stieg Simon Petrus ans Ufer und zog das Netz an Land. Es war mit hundertdreiundfünfzig großen Fischen gefüllt, und obwohl es so viele waren, zerriss das Netz nicht.
Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
Jesus sagte zu ihnen: Kommt her und esst! Keiner von den Jüngern wagte ihn zu befragen: Wer bist du? Denn sie wussten, dass es der Herr war.
Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.
Jesus trat heran, nahm das Brot und gab es ihnen, ebenso den Fisch.
This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.
Dies war schon das dritte Mal, dass Jesus sich den Jüngern offenbarte, seit er von den Toten auferstanden war.
Jesus Reinstates Peter
So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

Als sie gegessen hatten, sagte Jesus zu Simon Petrus: Simon, Sohn des Johannes, liebst du mich mehr als diese? Er antwortete ihm: Ja, Herr, du weißt, dass ich dich liebe. Jesus sagte zu ihm: Weide meine Lämmer!
He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
Zum zweiten Mal fragte er ihn: Simon, Sohn des Johannes, liebst du mich? Er antwortete ihm: Ja, Herr, du weißt, dass ich dich liebe. Jesus sagte zu ihm: Weide meine Schafe!
He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
Zum dritten Mal fragte er ihn: Simon, Sohn des Johannes, liebst du mich? Da wurde Petrus traurig, weil Jesus ihn zum dritten Mal gefragt hatte: Liebst du mich? Er gab ihm zur Antwort: Herr, du weißt alles; du weißt, dass ich dich liebe. Jesus sagte zu ihm: Weide meine Schafe!
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.
Amen, amen, ich sage dir: Als du jünger warst, hast du dich selbst gegürtet und gingst, wohin du wolltest. Wenn du aber alt geworden bist, wirst du deine Hände ausstrecken und ein anderer wird dich gürten und dich führen, wohin du nicht willst.
This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.
Das sagte Jesus, um anzudeuten, durch welchen Tod er Gott verherrlichen werde. Nach diesen Worten sagte er zu ihm: Folge mir nach!

Petrus wandte sich um und sah den Jünger folgen, den Jesus liebte und der beim Abendmahl an seiner Brust gelegen und ihm gesagt hatte: Herr, wer ist es, der dich ausliefert?
Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
Als Petrus diesen sah, sagte er zu Jesus: Herr, was wird denn mit ihm?
Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.
Jesus sagte zu ihm: Wenn ich will, dass er bleibt, bis ich komme, was geht das dich an? Du folge mir nach!
Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
Da verbreitete sich unter den Brüdern die Meinung: Jener Jünger stirbt nicht. Doch Jesus hatte ihm nicht gesagt: Er stirbt nicht, sondern: Wenn ich will, dass er bleibt, bis ich komme, was geht das dich an?
This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
Dies ist der Jünger, der all das bezeugt und der es aufgeschrieben hat; und wir wissen, dass sein Zeugnis wahr ist.
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
Es gibt aber noch vieles andere, was Jesus getan hat. Wenn man alles einzeln aufschreiben wollte, so könnte, wie ich glaube, die ganze Welt die dann geschriebenen Bücher nicht fassen.
