Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
Denn ich bezeuge ihnen, dass sie Eifer haben für Gott, aber ohne Erkenntnis.
For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
Denn indem sie die Gerechtigkeit Gottes verkannten und ihre eigene Gerechtigkeit aufzurichten suchten, haben sie sich der Gerechtigkeit Gottes nicht unterworfen.
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Denn Ziel des Gesetzes ist Christus zur Gerechtigkeit für jeden, der glaubt.
For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
Denn Mose schreibt über die Gerechtigkeit aus dem Gesetz: Der Mensch, der dieses tut, wird darin leben.
But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
Die Gerechtigkeit aus dem Glauben aber spricht: Sag nicht in deinem Herzen: Wer wird in den Himmel hinaufsteigen? Das heißt: Christus herabzuholen.
Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
Oder: Wer wird in den Abgrund hinabsteigen? Das heißt: Christus von den Toten heraufzuführen.
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
Sondern was sagt sie? Nahe ist dir das Wort in deinem Mund und in deinem Herzen. Das heißt: das Wort des Glaubens, das wir verkünden;
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
denn wenn du mit deinem Mund bekennst: Herr ist Jesus — und in deinem Herzen glaubst: Gott hat ihn von den Toten auferweckt, so wirst du gerettet werden.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Denn mit dem Herzen glaubt man und das führt zur Gerechtigkeit, mit dem Mund bekennt man und das führt zur Rettung.
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Denn die Schrift sagt: Jeder, der an ihn glaubt, wird nicht zugrunde gehen.
For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Denn darin gibt es keinen Unterschied zwischen Juden und Griechen. Denn alle haben denselben Herrn; aus seinem Reichtum beschenkt er alle, die ihn anrufen.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Denn jeder, der den Namen des Herrn anruft, wird gerettet werden.
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Wie sollen sie nun den anrufen, an den sie nicht glauben? Wie sollen sie an den glauben, von dem sie nichts gehört haben? Wie sollen sie hören, wenn niemand verkündet?
And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Wie soll aber jemand verkünden, wenn er nicht gesandt ist? Wie geschrieben steht: Wie willkommen sind die Füße der Freudenboten, die Gutes verkünden!
But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
Doch nicht alle sind dem Evangelium gehorsam geworden. Denn Jesaja sagt: Herr, wer hat unserer Kunde geglaubt?
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
So gründet der Glaube in der Botschaft, die Botschaft aber im Wort Christi.
But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
Aber, so frage ich: Haben sie etwa nicht gehört? Ja doch: In die ganze Welt ist ihr Schall gedrungen und bis an die Enden der Erde ihre Worte.
But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
Aber ich frage: Hat etwa Israel nicht verstanden? Zunächst antwortet Mose: Ich will euch eifersüchtig machen auf ein Volk, das kein Volk ist; auf ein unverständiges Volk will ich euch zornig machen.
But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
Aber Jesaja wagt sogar zu sagen: Ich ließ mich finden von denen, die nicht nach mir suchten; ich offenbarte mich denen, die nicht nach mir fragten.
