I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

Am wichtigsten ist, dass die Gemeinde beständig im Gebet bleibt. Betet für alle Menschen; bringt eure Bitten, Wünsche, eure Anliegen und euren Dank für sie vor Gott.
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
Betet besonders für alle, die in Regierung und Staat Verantwortung tragen, damit wir in Ruhe und Frieden leben können, ehrfürchtig vor Gott und aufrichtig unseren Mitmenschen gegenüber.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
So soll es sein, und so gefällt es Gott, unserem Retter.
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Die Frauen sollen unauffällig und schlicht gekleidet zum Gottesdienst kommen. Sie sollen sich weder durch besondere Frisuren noch durch Goldschmuck, Perlen oder teure Kleider hervortun.
But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
Der wahre Schmuck der Frauen ist es, Gutes zu tun. Damit zeigen sie, dass sie Gott lieben und ehren.
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
Die Frau soll still zuhören, wenn in der Gemeinde gelehrt wird, und bereit sein, sich ganz unterzuordnen.
But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
