The Perfect High Priest
For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:

Denn jeder Hohepriester wird aus den Menschen genommen und für die Menschen eingesetzt zum Dienst vor Gott, um Gaben und Opfer für die Sünden darzubringen.
Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.
Er ist fähig, mit den Unwissenden und Irrenden mitzufühlen, da er auch selbst behaftet ist mit Schwachheit,
And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.
und dieser Schwachheit wegen muss er wie für das Volk so auch für sich selbst Sündopfer darbringen.
And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.
Und keiner nimmt sich selbst diese Würde, sondern er wird von Gott berufen, so wie Aaron.
So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.
So hat auch Christus sich nicht selbst die Würde verliehen, Hohepriester zu werden, sondern der zu ihm gesprochen hat: Mein Sohn bist du. Ich habe dich heute gezeugt,
As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
wie er auch an anderer Stelle sagt: Du bist Priester auf ewig nach der Ordnung Melchisedeks.
Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
Er hat in den Tagen seines irdischen Lebens mit lautem Schreien und unter Tränen Gebete und Bitten vor den gebracht, der ihn aus dem Tod retten konnte, und er ist erhört worden aufgrund seiner Gottesfurcht.
Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Warning against Drifting Away

For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
Denn jeder, der noch mit Milch genährt wird, ist unerfahren im richtigen Reden; er ist ja ein unmündiges Kind;
