Series of Kings: Azariah (Uzziah) over Judah
In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah became king.

Im siebenundzwanzigsten Jahr Jerobeams, des Königs von Israel, wurde Asarja, der Sohn Amazjas, König von Juda.
He was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem; and his mother’s name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.
Er war sechzehn Jahre alt, als er König wurde, und regierte zweiundfünfzig Jahre in Jerusalem. Seine Mutter hieß Jecholja und stammte aus Jerusalem.
He did right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done.

Zechariah over Israel
In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah the son of Jeroboam became king over Israel in Samaria for six months.

He did evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done; he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.

Then Menahem son of Gadi went up from Tirzah and came to Samaria, and struck Shallum son of Jabesh in Samaria, and killed him and became king in his place.

Then Menahem struck Tiphsah and all who were in it and its borders from Tirzah, because they did not open to him; therefore he struck it and ripped up all its women who were with child.

Im neununddreißigsten Jahr Asarjas, des Königs von Juda, wurde Menahem, der Sohn Gadis, König von Israel. Er regierte zehn Jahre in Samaria
He did evil in the sight of the LORD; he did not depart all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.
und tat, was böse war in den Augen des HERRN; er ließ nicht von den Sünden ab, zu denen Jerobeam, der Sohn Nebats, Israel verführt hatte, solange er lebte.
Pul, king of Assyria, came against the land, and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver so that his hand might be with him to strengthen the kingdom under his rule.
In seinen Tagen kam Pul, der König von Assur, in das Land. Menahem gab ihm tausend Talente Silber, damit er ihm helfe, seine Herrschaft zu festigen.
Then Menahem exacted the money from Israel, even from all the mighty men of wealth, from each man fifty shekels of silver to pay the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria returned and did not remain there in the land.

In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah son of Menahem became king over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years.
Im fünfzigsten Jahr Asarjas, des Königs von Juda, wurde Pekachja, der Sohn Menahems, König von Israel. Er regierte zwei Jahre in Samaria
He did evil in the sight of the LORD; he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.
und tat, was böse war in den Augen des HERRN; er ließ nicht von den Sünden ab, zu denen Jerobeam, der Sohn Nebats, Israel verführt hatte.
Then Pekah son of Remaliah, his officer, conspired against him and struck him in Samaria, in the castle of the king’s house with Argob and Arieh; and with him were fifty men of the Gileadites, and he killed him and became king in his place.
Gegen ihn zettelte sein Vorkämpfer Pekach, der Sohn Remaljas, eine Verschwörung an und erschlug ihn im Wohnturm des königlichen Palastes in Samaria, ebenso Argob und Arje. Er hatte fünfzig Mann aus Gilead bei sich, tötete Pekachja und wurde König an seiner Stelle.

In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekah son of Remaliah became king over Israel in Samaria, and reigned twenty years.
Im zweiundfünfzigsten Jahr des Königs Asarja von Juda wurde Pekach, der Sohn Remaljas, König von Israel. Er regierte zwanzig Jahre in Samaria
He did evil in the sight of the LORD; he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.
und tat, was böse war in den Augen des HERRN; er ließ nicht von den Sünden ab, zu denen Jerobeam, der Sohn Nebats, Israel verführt hatte.
In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria came and captured Ijon and Abel-beth-maacah and Janoah and Kedesh and Hazor and Gilead and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali; and he carried them captive to Assyria.
In den Tagen Pekachs, des Königs von Israel, zog Tiglat-Pileser, der König von Assur, heran. Er eroberte Ijon, Abel-Bet-Maacha, Janoach, Kedesch, Hazor, Gilead, Galiläa, das ganze Land Naftali und verschleppte ihre Bewohner nach Assur.
And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and struck him and put him to death and became king in his place, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.

Jotham over Judah
In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel, Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah became king.
Im zweiten Jahr Pekachs, des Sohnes Remaljas, des Königs von Israel, wurde Jotam, der Sohn Usijas, König von Juda.
He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and his mother’s name was Jerusha the daughter of Zadok.
Er war fünfundzwanzig Jahre alt, als er König wurde, und regierte sechzehn Jahre in Jerusalem. Seine Mutter hieß Jeruscha und war eine Tochter Zadoks.
He did what was right in the sight of the LORD; he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.
Er tat, was dem HERRN gefiel, genau wie sein Vater Usija.

Nur die Kulthöhen verschwanden nicht. Das Volk brachte noch Schlacht- und Rauchopfer auf ihnen dar. Er baute das obere Tor am Haus des HERRN.

In those days the LORD began to send Rezin king of Aram and Pekah the son of Remaliah against Judah.
In jenen Tagen begann der HERR, Rezin, den König von Aram, und Pekach, den Sohn Remaljas, gegen Juda ziehen zu lassen.
And Jotham slept with his fathers, and he was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father; and Ahaz his son became king in his place.
Jotam aber entschlief zu seinen Vätern und wurde bei seinen Vätern in der Stadt seines Vaters David begraben. Sein Sohn Ahas wurde König an seiner Stelle.
