Thus says the LORD to Cyrus His anointed,
Whom I have taken by the right hand,
To subdue nations before him
And to loose the loins of kings;
To open doors before him so that gates will not be shut:

So spricht der HERR zu seinem Gesalbten, zu Kyrus: Ich habe ihn an seiner rechten Hand gefasst, um ihm Nationen zu unterwerfen; Könige entwaffne ich, um ihm Türen zu öffnen und kein Tor verschlossen zu halten:
“I will go before you and make the rough places smooth;
I will shatter the doors of bronze and cut through their iron bars.

Ich selbst gehe vor dir her und ebne Ringmauern ein. Ich zertrümmere bronzene Tore und zerschlage eiserne Riegel.
“I will give you the treasures of darkness
And hidden wealth of secret places,
So that you may know that it is I,
The LORD, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.

Ich gebe dir verborgene Schätze und Reichtümer, die im Dunkel versteckt sind. So sollst du erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin, der dich bei deinem Namen ruft, ich, Israels Gott.
“For the sake of Jacob My servant,
And Israel My chosen one,
I have also called you by your name;
I have given you a title of honor
Though you have not known Me.

Um meines Knechtes Jakob willen, um Israels, meines Erwählten, willen habe ich dich bei deinem Namen gerufen; ich habe dir einen Ehrennamen gegeben, ohne dass du mich kanntest.
“I am the LORD, and there is no other;
Besides Me there is no God.
I will gird you, though you have not known Me;
Besides Me there is no God.

Ich bin der HERR und sonst niemand; außer mir gibt es keinen Gott. Ich habe dir den Gürtel angelegt, ohne dass du mich kanntest,
That men may know from the rising to the setting of the sun

damit man vom Aufgang der Sonne bis zu ihrem Untergang erkennt, dass es außer mir keinen Gott gibt. Ich bin der HERR und sonst niemand.

Der das Licht formt und das Dunkel erschafft, der das Heil macht und das Unheil erschafft, ich bin der HERR, der all dies macht.

“Drip down, O heavens, from above,
And let the clouds pour down righteousness;
Let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit,
And righteousness spring up with it.
I, the LORD, have created it.
Taut, ihr Himmel, von oben, ihr Wolken, lasst Gerechtigkeit regnen! Die Erde tue sich auf und bringe das Heil hervor, sie lasse Gerechtigkeit sprießen. Ich, der HERR, erschaffe es.
“Woe to the one who quarrels with his Maker —
An earthenware vessel among the vessels of earth!
Will the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you doing?’
Or the thing you are making say, ‘He has no hands’?

Wehe dem, der mit seinem Schöpfer rechtet, eine Scherbe unter irdenen Scherben! Sagt denn der Ton zu seinem Töpfer: Was machst du? und sagt dein Werk: Er hat kein Geschick?
“Woe to him who says to a father, ‘What are you begetting?’
Or to a woman, ‘To what are you giving birth?’”
Or to a woman, ‘To what are you giving birth?’”
Wehe dem, der zum Vater sagt: Was zeugst du? und zur Frau: Was gebierst du?
Thus says the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker:
“Ask Me about the things to come concerning My sons,
And you shall commit to Me the work of My hands.
“Ask Me about the things to come concerning My sons,

So spricht der HERR, der Heilige Israels und sein Schöpfer: Über die kommenden Dinge befragt mich, über meine Kinder und über das Werk meiner Hände gebt mir doch Befehl!
“It is I who made the earth, and created man upon it.
I stretched out the heavens with My hands
And I ordained all their host.

Ich habe die Erde gemacht und die Menschen auf ihr erschaffen. Ich habe den Himmel ausgespannt mit meinen Händen und ich befehle seinem ganzen Heer.
“I have aroused him in righteousness
And I will make all his ways smooth;
He will build My city and will let My exiles go free,
Without any payment or reward,” says the LORD of hosts.

Ich habe ihn in Gerechtigkeit erweckt und all seine Wege ebne ich. Er baut meine Stadt wieder auf, mein verschlepptes Volk lässt er frei, aber nicht für Lösegeld oder Geschenke. Der HERR der Heerscharen hat gesprochen.
Thus says the LORD,
“The products of Egypt and the merchandise of Cush
And the Sabeans, men of stature,
Will come over to you and will be yours;
They will walk behind you, they will come over in chains
And will bow down to you;
They will make supplication to you:
‘Surely, God is with you, and there is none else,
No other God.’”

So spricht der HERR: Die Ägypter mit ihren Erträgen, die Kuschiter mit ihrem Gewinn und die groß gewachsenen Sebaiter werden zu dir kommen und dir gehören; in Fesseln werden sie hinter dir herziehen. Vor dir werfen sie sich nieder und flehen zu dir: Nur bei dir ist Gott und sonst gibt es keine Götter.
Truly, You are a God who hides Himself,
O God of Israel, Savior!

Wahrhaftig, du bist ein verborgener Gott, Israels Gott, der rettet.

Schmach und Schande kommt über sie alle, die Götzenschmiede geraten in Schande.

Israel ist vom HERRN gerettet, ist auf immer errettet. Über euch kommt keine Schmach und Schande für immer und ewig.

Denn so spricht der HERR, der den Himmel erschafft, er ist der Gott, der die Erde formt und macht — er ist es, der ihr Bestand gibt, er hat sie nicht als Nichtiges erschaffen, er hat sie zum Wohnen geformt — : Ich bin der HERR und sonst niemand.

I did not say to the offspring of Jacob,
‘Seek Me in a waste place’;
I, the LORD, speak righteousness,

Ich habe nicht im Verborgenen geredet, irgendwo in einem finsteren Land. Ich habe nicht zum Geschlecht Jakobs gesagt: Sucht mich als Nichtiges! Ich bin der HERR, der die Wahrheit spricht und der verkündet, was recht ist.
“Gather yourselves and come;
Draw near together, you fugitives of the nations;
They have no knowledge,
Who carry about their wooden idol
And pray to a god who cannot save.

Versammelt euch, kommt alle herbei, tretet herzu, die ihr aus den Nationen entronnen seid! Wer hölzerne Götzen umherträgt, hat keine Erkenntnis, wer einen Gott anbetet, der niemanden rettet.
“Declare and set forth your case;
Indeed, let them consult together.
Who has announced this from of old?
Who has long since declared it?
Is it not I, the LORD?
And there is no other God besides Me,
A righteous God and a Savior;
There is none except Me.

Macht es bekannt, bringt es vor, beratet euch untereinander: Wer hat das alles seit Langem verkündet und längst im Voraus angesagt? War es nicht ich, der HERR? Es gibt keinen Gott außer mir; außer mir gibt es keinen gerechten und rettenden Gott.
“Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth;

Wendet euch mir zu und lasst euch erretten, alle Enden der Erde, denn ich bin Gott und sonst niemand!

Ich habe bei mir selbst geschworen: Aus meinem Mund ist Gerechtigkeit hervorgegangen, ein unwiderrufliches Wort: Vor mir wird jedes Knie sich beugen und jede Zunge wird schwören:
“They will say of Me, ‘Only in the LORD are righteousness and strength.’
Men will come to Him,
And all who were angry at Him will be put to shame.

Nur beim HERRN — sagt man von mir — sind Heilstaten und Stärke. Beschämt kommen alle zu ihm, die gegen ihn entbrennen.
