“Thus says the LORD who made the earth, the LORD who formed it to establish it, the LORD is His name,
So spricht der HERR, der erschafft, der formt, um fest zu gründen. HERR ist sein Name:
‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
Rufe zu mir, so will ich dir antworten und dir Großes und Unfassbares mitteilen, das du nicht kennst!
“For thus says the LORD God of Israel concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah which are broken down to make a defense against the siege ramps and against the sword,
Denn so spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels, über die Häuser dieser Stadt und die Häuser der Könige Judas, die man eingerissen hat, wegen der Belagerungsrampen und wegen des Schwerts,
‘While they are coming to fight with the Chaldeans and to fill them with the corpses of men whom I have slain in My anger and in My wrath, and I have hidden My face from this city because of all their wickedness:
um dort mit den Chaldäern den Kampf zu führen und die Häuser mit den Leichen derer zu füllen, die ich in meinem Zorn und meinem Grimm erschlug, weil ich mein Angesicht vor dieser Stadt wegen all ihrer Bosheit verborgen hatte.
‘Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them; and I will reveal to them an abundance of peace and truth.
Siehe, ich bringe ihnen Genesung und Heilung und ich werde sie heilen und ihnen Fülle von Frieden und Treue gewähren.
‘I will restore the fortunes of Judah and the fortunes of Israel and will rebuild them as they were at first.
Ich wende das Geschick Judas und das Geschick Israels und baue sie auf wie ehedem.
‘I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned against Me and by which they have transgressed against Me.
Ich reinige sie von all ihrer Schuld, mit der sie gegen mich gesündigt haben, und ich vergebe ihnen all ihre Schuld, mit der sie gesündigt und sich gegen mich aufgelehnt haben.
‘It will be to Me a name of joy, praise and glory before all the nations of the earth which will hear of all the good that I do for them, and they will fear and tremble because of all the good and all the peace that I make for it.’
Dann wird Jerusalem für mich ein Name der Freude sein, Lobpreis und Zier bei allen Völkern der Erde, wenn sie von all dem Guten hören, das ich tue; sie werden zittern und beben wegen all des Guten und all des Heils, das ich ihm erweise.
“Thus says the LORD, ‘Yet again there will be heard in this place, of which you say, “It is a waste, without man and without beast,” that is, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without beast,
So spricht der HERR: An diesem Ort, von dem ihr sagt: Verwüstet ist er, ohne Mensch und Vieh!, in den Städten Judas und auf den Straßen Jerusalems, die verödet sind, ohne Menschen, ohne Bewohner und ohne Vieh,
the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say,
“Give thanks to the LORD of hosts,
For the LORD is good,
For His lovingkindness is everlasting”;
and of those who bring a thank offering into the house of the LORD. For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were at first,’ says the LORD.

hört man wieder Jubelruf und Freudenruf, den Ruf des Bräutigams und den Ruf der Braut, den Ruf: Danket dem HERRN der Heerscharen; denn gut ist der HERR, denn seine Güte währet ewig! und die dabei Dankopfer bringen zum Haus des HERRN, denn ich wende das Geschick des Landes: Es soll werden wie ehedem, spricht der HERR.
“Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘There will again be in this place which is waste, without man or beast, and in all its cities, a habitation of shepherds who rest their flocks.
So spricht der HERR der Heerscharen: An diesem Ort, der verwüstet ist, ohne Mensch und Vieh, und in allen seinen Städten wird es wieder eine Weide für Hirten geben, die ihre Herden lagern lassen.
‘In the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, in the cities of the Negev, in the land of Benjamin, in the environs of Jerusalem and in the cities of Judah, the flocks will again pass under the hands of the one who numbers them,’ says the LORD.
In den Städten des Gebirges, den Städten der Schefela und den Städten des Negeb, im Land Benjamin, in der Umgebung Jerusalems und in den Städten Judas ziehen wieder die Schafe an dem vorbei, der sie mit der Hand zählt, spricht der HERR.
The Davidic Kingdom
‘Behold, days are coming,’ declares the LORD, ‘when I will fulfill the good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and the house of Judah.
Siehe, Tage kommen — Spruch des HERRN — , da erfülle ich das Heilswort, das ich über das Haus Israel und über das Haus Juda gesprochen habe.
‘In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous Branch of David to spring forth; and He shall execute justice and righteousness on the earth.
In jenen Tagen und zu jener Zeit werde ich für David einen gerechten Spross aufsprießen lassen. Er wird Recht und Gerechtigkeit wirken im Land.
‘In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will dwell in safety; and this is the name by which she will be called: the LORD is our righteousness.’
In jenen Tagen wird Juda gerettet werden, Jerusalem kann in Sicherheit wohnen. Man wird ihm den Namen geben: Der HERR ist unsere Gerechtigkeit.
“For thus says the LORD, ‘David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel;
Denn so spricht der HERR: Nie soll es David an einem Nachkommen fehlen, der auf dem Thron des Hauses Israel sitzt.
and the Levitical priests shall never lack a man before Me to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings and to prepare sacrifices continually.’”
Auch den levitischen Priestern soll es nie an einem Nachkommen vor mir fehlen, der alle Tage Brandopfer darbringt, Speiseopfer verbrennt und Schlachtopfer zurichtet.
“Thus says the LORD, ‘If you can break My covenant for the day and My covenant for the night, so that day and night will not be at their appointed time,
So spricht der HERR: Wenn ihr meinen Bund mit dem Tag und meinen Bund mit der Nacht brechen könntet, sodass es nicht mehr Tag und Nacht würde zu ihrer Zeit,
then My covenant may also be broken with David My servant so that he will not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the Levitical priests, My ministers.
dann könnte auch mein Bund mit meinem Knecht David gebrochen werden, sodass er keinen Sohn hätte, der auf seinem Thron König wäre, und ebenso mein Bund mit den levitischen Priestern, die mir dienen.
‘As the host of heaven cannot be counted and the sand of the sea cannot be measured, so I will multiply the descendants of David My servant and the Levites who minister to Me.’”
So unzählbar das Heer des Himmels und so unmessbar der Sand des Meeres ist, so zahlreich mache ich die Nachkommen meines Knechtes David und die Leviten, die mir dienen.
“Have you not observed what this people have spoken, saying, ‘The two families which the LORD chose, He has rejected them’? Thus they despise My people, no longer are they as a nation in their sight.
Hast du nicht bemerkt, was diese Leute reden: Die beiden Stammesverbände, die der HERR erwählt hatte, hat er verworfen! Sie verachten mein Volk, sodass es in ihren Augen kein Volk mehr ist.
“Thus says the LORD, ‘If My covenant for day and night stand not, and the fixed patterns of heaven and earth I have not established,
So spricht der HERR: So gewiss ich meinen Bund mit dem Tag und mit der Nacht und die Ordnungen von Himmel und Erde festgesetzt habe,
then I would reject the descendants of Jacob and David My servant, not taking from his descendants rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. But I will restore their fortunes and will have mercy on them.’”
so gewiss werde ich auch die Nachkommen Jakobs und meines Knechtes David nicht verwerfen; aus seinen Nachkommen werde ich die Herrscher über die Nachkommen Abrahams, Isaaks und Jakobs nehmen. Denn ich werde ihr Geschick wenden und mich ihrer erbarmen.
