The Mountains of Israel to Be Blessed
“And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say, ‘O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD.
“And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say, ‘O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD.
Du aber, Menschensohn, sprich als Prophet zu den Bergen Israels und sag: Ihr Berge Israels, hört das Wort des HERRN!
‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Because the enemy has spoken against you, ‘Aha!’ and, ‘The everlasting heights have become our possession,’
So spricht GOTT, der Herr: Weil der Feind über euch gesagt hat: Ha, die uralten Höhen gehören uns als Besitz.
therefore prophesy and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “For good reason they have made you desolate and crushed you from every side, that you would become a possession of the rest of the nations and you have been taken up in the talk and the whispering of the people.”’”
Darum tritt als Prophet auf und sag: So spricht GOTT, der Herr: Weil man euch verödet und von allen Seiten nach euch geschnappt hat, sodass ihr jetzt Besitz der übrigen Völker seid, weil ihr ins Gerede gekommen und zum Gespött der Leute geworden seid,
‘Therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD. Thus says the Lord GOD to the mountains and to the hills, to the ravines and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes and to the forsaken cities which have become a prey and a derision to the rest of the nations which are round about,
darum, ihr Berge Israels, hört das Wort GOTTES, des Herrn: So spricht GOTT, der Herr, zu den Bergen und Hügeln, den Schluchten und Tälern, zu den verfallenen Ruinen und den verlassenen Städten: Weil ihr von den übrigen Völkern ringsum ausgeplündert und verspottet worden seid,
therefore thus says the Lord GOD, “Surely in the fire of My jealousy I have spoken against the rest of the nations, and against all Edom, who appropriated My land for themselves as a possession with wholehearted joy and with scorn of soul, to drive it out for a prey.”
darum — so spricht GOTT, der Herr: Fürwahr, mit glühender Leidenschaft habe ich über den Rest der Nationen und über ganz Edom gesprochen. Voll Freude im Herzen haben sie sich mein Land angeeignet, mit tiefer Verachtung, damit sein Weideland zur Beute werde.
‘Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel and say to the mountains and to the hills, to the ravines and to the valleys, “Thus says the Lord GOD, ‘Behold, I have spoken in My jealousy and in My wrath because you have endured the insults of the nations.’
Darum sprich als Prophet über den Ackerboden Israels und sag zu den Bergen und Hügeln, zu den Schluchten und Tälern: So spricht GOTT, der Herr: Siehe, in meiner Leidenschaft und in meinem Grimm habe ich geredet, weil ihr von den Völkern Schimpf ertragen müsst.
“Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, ‘I have sworn that surely the nations which are around you will themselves endure their insults.
Darum — so spricht GOTT, der Herr: Ich, ja ich erhebe meine Hand: Fürwahr, die Völker rings um euch werden ihren eigenen Schimpf tragen müssen.
‘But you, O mountains of Israel, you will put forth your branches and bear your fruit for My people Israel; for they will soon come.
Ihr aber, ihr Berge Israels, ihr sollt eure Zweige treiben und eure Früchte hervorbringen für mein Volk Israel; denn es wird bald kommen.
‘For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you will be cultivated and sown.
Denn seht, ich bin für euch und wende mich euch zu und dann ackert und sät man wieder auf euch
‘I will multiply men on you, all the house of Israel, all of it; and the cities will be inhabited and the waste places will be rebuilt.
und ich mache die Menschen zahlreich auf euch, das ganze Haus Israel insgesamt. Die Städte werden bewohnt sein und die Ruinen aufgebaut.
‘I will multiply on you man and beast; and they will increase and be fruitful; and I will cause you to be inhabited as you were formerly and will treat you better than at the first. Thus you will know that I am the LORD.
Ich mache Mensch und Vieh zahlreich auf euch und sie werden sich vermehren und fruchtbar sein. Ich will dafür sorgen, dass ihr bewohnt seid, wie in euren früheren Zeiten; ich werde euch mehr Gutes erweisen als in euren Anfängen. Dann werdet ihr erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin.
‘Yes, I will cause men — My people Israel — to walk on you and possess you, so that you will become their inheritance and never again bereave them of children.’
Menschen, mein ganzes Volk Israel, lasse ich auf euch gehen und sie werden dich in Besitz nehmen; du wirst ihr Erbbesitz sein und ihnen nie mehr ihre Kinder wegnehmen.
“Thus says the Lord GOD, ‘Because they say to you, “You are a devourer of men and have bereaved your nation of children,”
So spricht GOTT, der Herr: Weil man zu euch sagt: Eine Menschenfresserin bist du und hast deiner eigenen Nation die Kinder weggenommen,
therefore you will no longer devour men and no longer bereave your nation of children,’ declares the Lord GOD.
darum sollst du keine Menschen mehr fressen und deiner eigenen Nation nicht mehr die Kinder wegnehmen — Spruch GOTTES, des Herrn.
“I will not let you hear insults from the nations anymore, nor will you bear disgrace from the peoples any longer, nor will you cause your nation to stumble any longer,” declares the Lord GOD.’”
Ich lasse dich den Schimpf der Nationen nie mehr anhören und den Hohn der Völker wirst du nie mehr ertragen müssen. Du wirst deiner eigenen Nation nicht mehr die Kinder wegnehmen — Spruch GOTTES, des Herrn.
“Son of man, when the house of Israel was living in their own land, they defiled it by their ways and their deeds; their way before Me was like the uncleanness of a woman in her impurity.
Menschensohn, als die vom Haus Israel in ihrem Land wohnten, machten sie es durch ihre Wege und ihre Taten unrein. Wie die monatliche Unreinheit der Frau waren ihre Wege in meinen Augen.
“Therefore I poured out My wrath on them for the blood which they had shed on the land, because they had defiled it with their idols.
Da goss ich meinen Zorn über sie aus, weil sie Blut vergossen im Land und es mit ihren Götzen befleckten.
“Also I scattered them among the nations and they were dispersed throughout the lands. According to their ways and their deeds I judged them.
Ich zerstreute sie unter die Nationen; in die Länder wurden sie vertrieben. Nach ihren Wegen und nach ihren Taten habe ich sie gerichtet.
“When they came to the nations where they went, they profaned My holy name, because it was said of them, ‘These are the people of the LORD; yet they have come out of His land.’
Als sie aber zu den Nationen kamen, entweihten sie überall, wohin sie kamen, meinen heiligen Namen; denn man sagte von ihnen: Das ist das Volk des HERRN und doch mussten sie sein Land verlassen.
“But I had concern for My holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations where they went.
Da tat mir mein heiliger Name leid, den das Haus Israel bei den Nationen entweihte, wohin es auch kam.
Israel to Be Renewed for His Name’s Sake
“Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am about to act, but for My holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you went.
Darum sag zum Haus Israel: So spricht GOTT, der Herr: Nicht euretwegen handle ich, Haus Israel, sondern um meines heiligen Namens willen, den ihr bei den Nationen entweiht habt, wohin ihr auch gekommen seid.
“I will vindicate the holiness of My great name which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst. Then the nations will know that I am the LORD,” declares the Lord GOD, “when I prove Myself holy among you in their sight.
Meinen großen, bei den Nationen entweihten Namen, den ihr mitten unter ihnen entweiht habt, werde ich wieder heiligen. Und die Nationen — Spruch GOTTES, des Herrn — werden erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin, wenn ich mich an euch vor ihren Augen als heilig erweise.
“For I will take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands and bring you into your own land.
Ich nehme euch heraus aus den Nationen, ich sammle euch aus allen Ländern und ich bringe euch zu eurem Ackerboden.
“Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.
Ich gieße reines Wasser über euch aus, dann werdet ihr rein. Ich reinige euch von aller Unreinheit und von allen euren Götzen.
“Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
Ich gebe euch ein neues Herz und einen neuen Geist gebe ich in euer Inneres. Ich beseitige das Herz von Stein aus eurem Fleisch und gebe euch ein Herz von Fleisch.
“I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.
Ich gebe meinen Geist in euer Inneres und bewirke, dass ihr meinen Gesetzen folgt und auf meine Rechtsentscheide achtet und sie erfüllt.
“You will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers; so you will be My people, and I will be your God.
Dann werdet ihr in dem Land wohnen, das ich euren Vätern gegeben habe. Ihr werdet mir Volk sein und ich, ich werde euch Gott sein.
“Moreover, I will save you from all your uncleanness; and I will call for the grain and multiply it, and I will not bring a famine on you.
Ich befreie euch von all eurer Unreinheit. Ich rufe das Getreide und lasse es wachsen. Ich verhänge über euch keine Hungersnot mehr.
“I will multiply the fruit of the tree and the produce of the field, so that you will not receive again the disgrace of famine among the nations.
Ich vermehre die Frucht des Baumes und den Ertrag des Feldes, damit ihr unter den Nationen die Schande einer Hungersnot nicht mehr ertragen müsst.
“Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good, and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and your abominations.
Dann werdet ihr an eure verkehrten Wege und an eure Taten denken, die nicht gut waren, und es wird euch ekeln vor euch selbst wegen eurer Gräueltaten.
“I am not doing this for your sake,” declares the Lord GOD, “let it be known to you. Be ashamed and confounded for your ways, O house of Israel!”
Nicht euretwegen handle ich so — Spruch GOTTES, des Herrn — , das soll von euch erkannt werden. Schämt euch und vergeht vor Scham wegen eurer Wege, ihr vom Haus Israel!
‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will cause the cities to be inhabited, and the waste places will be rebuilt.
So spricht GOTT, der Herr: An dem Tag, da ich euch von all eurer Schuld reinige, mache ich die Städte bewohnbar und die Ruinen werden aufgebaut.
“The desolate land will be cultivated instead of being a desolation in the sight of everyone who passes by.
Das verödete Land wird bestellt, es liegt nicht mehr öde vor den Augen all derer, die vorübergehen.
“They will say, ‘This desolate land has become like the garden of Eden; and the waste, desolate and ruined cities are fortified and inhabited.’
Dann wird man sagen: Dieses verödete Land ist wie der Garten Eden geworden; die zerstörten, verödeten, vernichteten Städte sind befestigt. Sie werden bewohnt.
“Then the nations that are left round about you will know that I, the LORD, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted that which was desolate; I, the LORD, have spoken and will do it.”
Dann werden die restlichen Nationen rings um euch erkennen, dass ich, der HERR, das Zerstörte aufgebaut und das Verödete bepflanzt habe. Ich, der HERR, habe gesprochen und ich führe es aus.
‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “This also I will let the house of Israel ask Me to do for them: I will increase their men like a flock.
So spricht GOTT, der Herr: Ich lasse mich vom Haus Israel bitten, auch das noch für sie zu tun: Ich werde sie vermehren wie Schafe, die Menschen.
“Like the flock for sacrifices, like the flock at Jerusalem during her appointed feasts, so will the waste cities be filled with flocks of men. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”’”
Wie geweihte Schafe, wie Schafe an den Festen Jerusalems, so werden Herden von Menschen die zerstörten Städte füllen. Dann werden sie erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin.
