Prophecy against Gog — Invaders Destroyed
“And you, son of man, prophesy against Gog and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal;
“And you, son of man, prophesy against Gog and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal;
Du, Menschensohn, tritt als Prophet gegen Gog auf und sag: So spricht GOTT, der Herr: Siehe, ich will gegen dich vorgehen, Gog, du Großfürst von Meschech und Tubal.
and I will turn you around, drive you on, take you up from the remotest parts of the north and bring you against the mountains of Israel.
Ich führe dich und locke dich, ich lasse dich aus dem äußersten Norden heraufziehen und lasse dich über die Berge Israels kommen.
“I will strike your bow from your left hand and dash down your arrows from your right hand.
Dann schlage ich dir deinen Bogen aus deiner linken Hand und lasse deiner rechten Hand deine Pfeile entfallen.
“You will fall on the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you; I will give you as food to every kind of predatory bird and beast of the field.
Im Bergland von Israel wirst du fallen, du und alle deine Truppen und die Völker, die bei dir sind. Raubvögeln aller Art und den wilden Tieren gebe ich dich zum Fraß.
“You will fall on the open field; for it is I who have spoken,” declares the Lord GOD.
Auf dem freien Feld wirst du fallen; denn ich habe gesprochen — Spruch GOTTES, des Herrn.
“And I will send fire upon Magog and those who inhabit the coastlands in safety; and they will know that I am the LORD.
Gegen Magog und die sorglosen Küstenbewohner sende ich Feuer. Dann werden sie erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin.
“My holy name I will make known in the midst of My people Israel; and I will not let My holy name be profaned anymore. And the nations will know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.
Meinen heiligen Namen offenbare ich mitten in meinem Volk Israel; ich will meinen heiligen Namen nie mehr entweihen. Dann werden die Nationen erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin, heilig in Israel.
“Behold, it is coming and it shall be done,” declares the Lord GOD. “That is the day of which I have spoken.
Siehe, es kommt und geschieht — Spruch GOTTES, des Herrn. Das ist der Tag, von dem ich gesprochen habe:
“Then those who inhabit the cities of Israel will go out and make fires with the weapons and burn them, both shields and bucklers, bows and arrows, war clubs and spears, and for seven years they will make fires of them.
Die Einwohner der Städte Israels werden hinausgehen; mit den Waffen, mit Langschild und Rundschild, mit Bogen und Pfeilen, mit Keulen und Lanzen machen sie Feuer und heizen. Sieben Jahre lang machen sie Feuer damit.
“They will not take wood from the field or gather firewood from the forests, for they will make fires with the weapons; and they will take the spoil of those who despoiled them and seize the plunder of those who plundered them,” declares the Lord GOD.
Sie brauchen kein Holz von den Feldern wegzutragen, sie schlagen kein Holz im Wald, sondern verbrennen die Waffen. Sie plündern ihre Plünderer und berauben ihre Räuber — Spruch GOTTES, des Herrn.
“On that day I will give Gog a burial ground there in Israel, the valley of those who pass by east of the sea, and it will block off those who would pass by. So they will bury Gog there with all his horde, and they will call it the valley of Hamon-gog.
An jenem Tag wird es geschehen, da gebe ich Gog einen Platz für sein Grab in Israel: das Tal der Durchreisenden, östlich vom Meer. Es versperrt den Durchreisenden den Weg. Dort wird man Gog und all seine Pracht begraben und den Ort Tal der Pracht Gogs nennen.
“For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them in order to cleanse the land.
Sieben Monate lang wird das Haus Israel sie begraben, um das Land rein zu machen.
“Even all the people of the land will bury them; and it will be to their renown on the day that I glorify Myself,” declares the Lord GOD.
Das ganze Volk des Landes wird sie begraben und das wird ihm Ansehen verschaffen an dem Tag, an dem ich mich als herrlich erweise — Spruch GOTTES, des Herrn.
“They will set apart men who will constantly pass through the land, burying those who were passing through, even those left on the surface of the ground, in order to cleanse it. At the end of seven months they will make a search.
Man wird Männer aussondern, die ständig durch das Land ziehen und noch die bestatten, die im Land verstreut liegen geblieben sind, um es rein zu machen. Und am Ende der sieben Monate sollen sie es gründlich durchsuchen.
“As those who pass through the land pass through and anyone sees a man’s bone, then he will set up a marker by it until the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamon-gog.
Wenn diese Männer durch das Land ziehen und einer von ihnen Menschengebein findet, soll er die Stelle kennzeichnen, bis die Totengräber es im Tal der Pracht Gogs begraben.
“And even the name of the city will be Hamonah. So they will cleanse the land.”’
Daher trägt eine Stadt den Namen Hamona, die Pracht. So wird man das Land rein machen.
“As for you, son of man, thus says the Lord GOD, ‘Speak to every kind of bird and to every beast of the field, “Assemble and come, gather from every side to My sacrifice which I am going to sacrifice for you, as a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, that you may eat flesh and drink blood.
Du aber, Menschensohn — so spricht GOTT, der Herr — , sag zu den Vögeln, zu allem, was Flügel hat, und zu allen wilden Tieren: Versammelt euch und kommt her! Von überall kommt zu meinem Schlachtopfer zusammen, das ich für euch schlachte, ein großes Schlachtopfer auf den Bergen Israels! Fresst Fleisch und trinkt Blut!
“You will eat the flesh of mighty men and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, as though they were rams, lambs, goats and bulls, all of them fatlings of Bashan.
Fleisch von Helden sollt ihr fressen und das Blut der Fürsten der Erde trinken. Lauter Widder, Lämmer und Böcke, Stiere und gemästete Rinder aus dem Baschan sind es.
“So you will eat fat until you are glutted, and drink blood until you are drunk, from My sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.
Fresst euch satt am Fett und berauscht euch am Blut meines Schlachtopfers, das ich für euch geschlachtet habe!
“You will be glutted at My table with horses and charioteers, with mighty men and all the men of war,” declares the Lord GOD.
An meinem Tisch könnt ihr euch sättigen mit Pferden und Reittieren, mit Helden und Kriegern aller Art — Spruch GOTTES, des Herrn.
“And I will set My glory among the nations; and all the nations will see My judgment which I have executed and My hand which I have laid on them.
So bringe ich unter die Nationen meine Herrlichkeit. Alle Völker sehen mein Strafgericht, das ich abgehalten habe, und meine Hand, die ich auf sie gelegt habe.
“And the house of Israel will know that I am the LORD their God from that day onward.
Dann wird das Haus Israel erkennen, dass ich der HERR, ihr Gott, bin, von jenem Tag an und auch weiterhin.
“The nations will know that the house of Israel went into exile for their iniquity because they acted treacherously against Me, and I hid My face from them; so I gave them into the hand of their adversaries, and all of them fell by the sword.
Die Nationen werden erkennen, dass das Haus Israel wegen seiner Schuld verschleppt wurde. Denn sie sind mir untreu geworden; darum habe ich mein Angesicht vor ihnen verborgen und sie in die Hand ihrer Feinde gegeben, sodass alle unter dem Schwert fielen.
“According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions I dealt with them, and I hid My face from them.”’”
Wie ihre Unreinheit und ihre Vergehen es verdienten, so habe ich sie behandelt und mein Angesicht vor ihnen verborgen.
Israel Restored
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, “Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have mercy on the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for My holy name.
Darum — so spricht GOTT, der Herr: Jetzt werde ich das Geschick Jakobs wenden, ich will Erbarmen haben mit dem ganzen Haus Israel und will mit leidenschaftlichem Eifer für meinen heiligen Namen eintreten.
“They will forget their disgrace and all their treachery which they perpetrated against Me, when they live securely on their own land with no one to make them afraid.
Sie werden ihre Schande tragen und all ihre Untreue, in der sie mir untreu waren, wenn sie in ihrem Land in Sicherheit wohnen, ohne dass sie jemand aufschreckt.
“When I bring them back from the peoples and gather them from the lands of their enemies, then I shall be sanctified through them in the sight of the many nations.
Wenn ich sie aus den Völkern zurückhole und aus den Ländern ihrer Feinde sammle, dann werde ich mich an ihnen vor den Augen vieler Nationen als heilig erweisen.
“Then they will know that I am the LORD their God because I made them go into exile among the nations, and then gathered them again to their own land; and I will leave none of them there any longer.
Dann werden sie erkennen, dass ich, der HERR, ihr Gott bin; denn nachdem ich sie zu den Nationen weggeführt hatte, versammle ich sie wieder in ihrem Land und lasse keinen von ihnen dort zurück.
