The Time of the End
“Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued.

»In jener Zeit tritt Michael, der große Engelfürst, für dein Volk ein, so wie er es schon immer getan hat. Es wird eine so große Not herrschen wie noch nie seit Menschengedenken. Aber alle aus deinem Volk werden gerettet, deren Name in Gottes Buch aufgeschrieben ist.
“Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt.
Viele von denen, die in der Erde ruhen, werden erwachen, die einen zum ewigen Leben, die anderen zu ewiger Schande und Schmach.
“Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.
Die Weisen und Verständigen aber werden so hell strahlen wie der Himmel. Und diejenigen, die vielen Menschen den richtigen Weg gezeigt haben, leuchten für immer und ewig wie die Sterne.
“But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.”
Du aber, Daniel, bewahr diese Botschaft sorgfältig auf! Schreib all diese Worte in ein Buch und versiegle es, bis das Ende der Zeit gekommen ist. Viele werden es erforschen und zu immer größerer Erkenntnis gelangen.«
Then I, Daniel, looked and behold, two others were standing, one on this bank of the river and the other on that bank of the river.
Dann sah ich zwei andere Engel am Fluss stehen, jeder auf einer Seite des Ufers.
And one said to the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be until the end of these wonders?”
Einer von ihnen fragte den Mann, der ein Gewand aus Leinen trug und über dem Wasser stand: »Wie lange dauert es noch, bis diese erstaunlichen Ereignisse vorüber sind?«
I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, as he raised his right hand and his left toward heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever that it would be for a time, times, and half a time; and as soon as they finish shattering the power of the holy people, all these events will be completed.
Der Mann erhob beide Hände zum Himmel und schwor bei Gott, der ewig lebt: »Es dauert noch einen Zeitraum, dann zwei Zeiträume und einen halben Zeitraum. Wenn die Kraft des heiligen Volkes Gottes gebrochen ist, dann kommt alles zu seinem Ziel!«
As for me, I heard but could not understand; so I said, “My lord, what will be the outcome of these events?”
Ich hörte zwar, was der Engel sagte, aber ich konnte es nicht begreifen. Deshalb fragte ich: »Mein Herr, wie wird das Ende aussehen?«
He said, “Go your way, Daniel, for these words are concealed and sealed up until the end time.
Er antwortete: »Geh jetzt, Daniel! Diese Worte sollen verschlossen und versiegelt bleiben, bis das Ende kommt.
“Many will be purged, purified and refined, but the wicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand.
Gott wird viele Menschen auf die Probe stellen, er wird sie läutern, damit ihr Glaube sich bewährt. Doch alle, die von Gott nichts wissen wollen, werden sich weiterhin gegen ihn auflehnen. Sie werden diese Botschaft nicht verstehen, die Weisen aber werden sie begreifen.
“From the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.
Von dem Zeitpunkt an, wenn man die regelmäßigen Opfer abschafft und einen abscheulichen Götzendienst einführt, wird es 1290 Tage dauern.
“How blessed is he who keeps waiting and attains to the 1,335 days!
Glücklich schätzen kann sich, wer aushält, bis 1335 Tage vorüber sind!
“But as for you, go your way to the end; then you will enter into rest and rise again for your allotted portion at the end of the age.”
Du aber geh deinen Weg bis zum Ende! Du wirst dich zur Ruhe legen, doch du wirst auferstehen und das himmlische Erbe empfangen, das am Ende der Zeit auf dich wartet.«
