“Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘I am the LORD your God.
Rede zu den Israeliten und sag zu ihnen: Ich bin der HERR, euer Gott.
‘You shall not do what is done in the land of Egypt where you lived, nor are you to do what is done in the land of Canaan where I am bringing you; you shall not walk in their statutes.
Ihr sollt nicht tun, was man in Ägypten tut, wo ihr gewohnt habt; ihr sollt nicht tun, was man in Kanaan tut, wohin ich euch führe. Ihre Satzungen sollt ihr nicht befolgen.
‘You are to perform My judgments and keep My statutes, to live in accord with them; I am the LORD your God.
Meine Rechtsentscheide sollt ihr einhalten und meine Satzungen sollt ihr bewahren und befolgen. Ich bin der HERR, euer Gott.
‘So you shall keep My statutes and My judgments, by which a man may live if he does them; I am the LORD.
Ihr sollt meine Satzungen und meine Rechtsentscheide bewahren. Wer sie einhält, wird durch sie leben. Ich bin der HERR.
‘None of you shall approach any blood relative of his to uncover nakedness; I am the LORD.
Niemand von euch darf sich einer Blutsverwandten nähern, um ihre Scham zu entblößen. Ich bin der HERR.
‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father, that is, the nakedness of your mother. She is your mother; you are not to uncover her nakedness.
Die Scham deines Vaters, nämlich die Scham deiner Mutter, darfst du nicht entblößen. Sie ist deine Mutter, du darfst ihre Scham nicht entblößen.
‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife; it is your father’s nakedness.
Die Scham der Frau deines Vaters darfst du nicht entblößen; sie ist die Scham deines Vaters.
‘The nakedness of your sister, either your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether born at home or born outside, their nakedness you shall not uncover.
Die Scham deiner Schwester, einer Tochter deines Vaters oder einer Tochter deiner Mutter, darfst du nicht entblößen, sei sie im Haus oder außerhalb geboren.
‘The nakedness of your son’s daughter or your daughter’s daughter, their nakedness you shall not uncover; for their nakedness is yours.
Die Scham einer Tochter deines Sohnes oder einer Tochter deiner Tochter darfst du nicht entblößen; denn ihre Scham ist deine eigene Scham.
‘The nakedness of your father’s wife’s daughter, born to your father, she is your sister, you shall not uncover her nakedness.
Die Scham der Tochter einer Frau deines Vaters darfst du nicht entblößen. Sie ist eine Blutsverwandte väterlicherseits; sie ist deine Schwester; du darfst ihre Scham nicht entblößen.
‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s sister; she is your father’s blood relative.
Die Scham einer Schwester deines Vaters darfst du nicht entblößen; denn sie ist mit deinem Vater leiblich verwandt.
‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister, for she is your mother’s blood relative.
Die Scham der Schwester deiner Mutter darfst du nicht entblößen; denn sie ist mit deiner Mutter leiblich verwandt.
‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother; you shall not approach his wife, she is your aunt.
Die Scham des Bruders deines Vaters darfst du nicht entblößen; du darfst dich seiner Frau nicht nähern; denn sie ist deine Tante.
‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law; she is your son’s wife, you shall not uncover her nakedness.
Die Scham deiner Schwiegertochter darfst du nicht entblößen. Sie ist die Frau deines Sohnes; du darfst ihre Scham nicht entblößen.
‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife; it is your brother’s nakedness.
Die Scham der Frau deines Bruders darfst du nicht entblößen; denn sie ist die Scham deines Bruders.
‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and of her daughter, nor shall you take her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; they are blood relatives. It is lewdness.
Die Scham einer Frau und gleichzeitig die ihrer Tochter darfst du nicht entblößen; weder die Tochter ihres Sohnes noch die Tochter ihrer Tochter darfst du nehmen, um ihre Scham zu entblößen. Sie sind leiblich verwandt, es wäre Blutschande.
‘You shall not marry a woman in addition to her sister as a rival while she is alive, to uncover her nakedness.
Du darfst neben einer Frau nicht auch noch deren Schwester heiraten; du würdest sie zur Nebenbuhlerin machen, wenn du zu Lebzeiten der einen die Scham der anderen entblößt.
‘Also you shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness during her menstrual impurity.
Einer Frau, die wegen ihrer Regel unrein ist, darfst du dich nicht nähern, um ihre Scham zu entblößen.
‘You shall not have intercourse with your neighbor’s wife, to be defiled with her.
Mit der Frau deines Mitbürgers darfst du nicht schlafen; du würdest durch sie unrein.
‘You shall not give any of your offspring to offer them to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God; I am the LORD.
Von deinen Nachkommen darfst du keinen hingeben, um ihn für Moloch hinübergehen zu lassen. Du darfst den Namen deines Gottes nicht entweihen. Ich bin der HERR.
‘You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.
Du darfst nicht mit einem Mann schlafen, wie man mit einer Frau schläft; das wäre ein Gräuel.
‘Also you shall not have intercourse with any animal to be defiled with it, nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it; it is a perversion.
Keinem Vieh darfst du beiwohnen; du würdest dadurch unrein. Keine Frau darf vor ein Vieh hintreten, um sich mit ihm zu begatten; das wäre eine schandbare Tat.
‘Do not defile yourselves by any of these things; for by all these the nations which I am casting out before you have become defiled.
Ihr sollt euch nicht durch all das verunreinigen; denn durch all das haben sich die Nationen verunreinigt, die ich vor euch vertreibe.
‘For the land has become defiled, therefore I have brought its punishment upon it, so the land has spewed out its inhabitants.
Das Land wurde unrein, ich habe an ihm seine Schuld heimgesucht und das Land hat seine Bewohner ausgespien.
‘But as for you, you are to keep My statutes and My judgments and shall not do any of these abominations, neither the native, nor the alien who sojourns among you
Ihr aber sollt auf meine Satzungen und Rechtsentscheide achten und keine dieser Gräueltaten begehen, weder der Einheimische noch der Fremde, der in eurer Mitte lebt.
(for the men of the land who have been before you have done all these abominations, and the land has become defiled);
Denn all diese Gräueltaten haben die Leute begangen, die vor euch im Land waren, und so wurde das Land unrein.
so that the land will not spew you out, should you defile it, as it has spewed out the nation which has been before you.
Wird es etwa euch, wenn ihr es verunreinigt, nicht ebenso ausspeien, wie es die Nation vor euch ausgespien hat?
‘For whoever does any of these abominations, those persons who do so shall be cut off from among their people.
Alle nämlich, die irgendeine dieser Gräueltaten begehen, werden aus der Mitte ihres Volkes ausgemerzt.
‘Thus you are to keep My charge, that you do not practice any of the abominable customs which have been practiced before you, so as not to defile yourselves with them; I am the LORD your God.’”
Bewahrt meine Anordnungen, befolgt keine von den gräulichen Satzungen, die man vor euch befolgt hat, und verunreinigt euch nicht durch sie. Ich bin der HERR, euer Gott.
