The Lamp and the Bread of the Sanctuary
Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

Der HERR sprach zu Mose:
“Command the sons of Israel that they bring to you clear oil from beaten olives for the light, to make a lamp burn continually.
»Sag den Israeliten, sie sollen dir reines Olivenöl von bester Qualität für den Leuchter bringen, damit die Lampen ständig brennen.
“Outside the veil of testimony in the tent of meeting, Aaron shall keep it in order from evening to morning before the LORD continually; it shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations.
Aaron soll den Leuchter im heiligen Zelt aufstellen — vor dem Vorhang zum Allerheiligsten, in dem die Bundeslade steht. Vom Abend bis zum Morgen soll das Licht brennen und mein Heiligtum erhellen. Diese Weisung gilt für euch und alle kommenden Generationen.
“He shall keep the lamps in order on the pure gold lampstand before the LORD continually.
Aaron muss dafür sorgen, dass die Lampen auf dem goldenen Leuchter im Heiligtum nicht verlöschen!
“Then you shall take fine flour and bake twelve cakes with it; two-tenths of an ephah shall be in each cake.
Backt zwölf Fladenbrote, jedes aus zweieinhalb Kilogramm Weizenmehl,
“You shall set them in two rows, six to a row, on the pure gold table before the LORD.
und legt sie in zwei Stapeln zu je sechs Broten auf den goldenen Tisch in meinem Heiligtum!
“You shall put pure frankincense on each row that it may be a memorial portion for the bread, even an offering by fire to the LORD.
Dann sollt ihr reinen Weihrauch dazulegen und ihn — anstelle der Brote — zu meinem Gedenken auf dem Altar verbrennen.
“Every sabbath day he shall set it in order before the LORD continually; it is an everlasting covenant for the sons of Israel.
An jedem Sabbat werden neue Brote im Heiligtum aufgeschichtet. Dazu sind die Israeliten in unserem Bund für alle Zeiten verpflichtet!
“It shall be for Aaron and his sons, and they shall eat it in a holy place; for it is most holy to him from the LORD’S offerings by fire, his portion forever.”
Nur Aaron und seine Söhne dürfen von den Broten im Bereich des Heiligtums essen. Sie stehen ihnen für alle Zeiten als Anteil an den besonders heiligen Gaben zu.«
Now the son of an Israelite woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the sons of Israel; and the Israelite woman’s son and a man of Israel struggled with each other in the camp.
Im Lager der Israeliten lebte ein Mann, der eine israelitische Mutter und einen ägyptischen Vater hatte. Seine Mutter hieß Schelomit, sie war eine Tochter Dibris und gehörte zum Stamm Dan. Dieser Mann geriet eines Tages mit einem Israeliten in Streit. Dabei fluchte er und verhöhnte den Herrn. Man brachte ihn zu Mose
They put him in custody so that the command of the LORD might be made clear to them.
und nahm ihn dann in Gewahrsam, um auf eine Weisung des HERRN zu warten.
“Bring the one who has cursed outside the camp, and let all who heard him lay their hands on his head; then let all the congregation stone him.
»Führe den Mann, der mich verhöhnt hat, aus dem Lager hinaus! Alle Zeugen, die sein Fluchen gehört haben, sollen ihm die Hand auf den Kopf legen. Dann müssen alle Versammelten ihn steinigen.
“You shall speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘If anyone curses his God, then he will bear his sin.
Sag den Israeliten: Jeder, der seinen Gott verflucht, muss die Folgen seiner Sünde tragen.
‘Moreover, the one who blasphemes the name of the LORD shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall certainly stone him. The alien as well as the native, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death.
Wer den Namen des HERRN verhöhnt, muss mit dem Tod bestraft werden. Die ganze Gemeinschaft der Israeliten soll ihn steinigen, ganz gleich ob er ein Fremder oder ein Einheimischer ist!
“An Eye for an Eye”
‘If a man takes the life of any human being, he shall surely be put to death.
Wer einen anderen Menschen umbringt, muss ebenfalls sterben.
‘The one who takes the life of an animal shall make it good, life for life.
Wer ein Stück Vieh tötet, muss es ersetzen. Es gilt der Grundsatz: Leben für Leben!
‘If a man injures his neighbor, just as he has done, so it shall be done to him:
Wenn jemand seinem Mitmenschen Schaden zufügt und ihn verletzt, soll er dasselbe am eigenen Leib zu spüren bekommen.
fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; just as he has injured a man, so it shall be inflicted on him.
Bei der Festlegung jeder Strafe sollt ihr euch nach dem Grundsatz richten: Auge um Auge, Zahn um Zahn, Knochenbruch um Knochenbruch. Was jemand einem anderen angetan hat, muss ihm selbst zugefügt werden.
‘Thus the one who kills an animal shall make it good, but the one who kills a man shall be put to death.
Wer ein Stück Vieh tötet, soll es ersetzen. Wer einen Menschen umbringt, muss sterben.
‘There shall be one standard for you; it shall be for the stranger as well as the native, for I am the LORD your God.’”
Für die Einheimischen wie für die Fremden, die sich eurem Volk angeschlossen haben, soll das gleiche Recht gelten. Denn ich bin der HERR, euer Gott!«
Then Moses spoke to the sons of Israel, and they brought the one who had cursed outside the camp and stoned him with stones. Thus the sons of Israel did, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
Mose richtete den Israeliten diese Worte aus. Daraufhin führten sie den Mann, der den Herrn verhöhnt hatte, aus dem Lager hinaus und steinigten ihn. So befolgten sie die Weisung, die Mose vom HERRN bekommen hatte.
