Sechs Tage danach nahm Jesus Petrus, Jakobus und dessen Bruder Johannes beiseite und führte sie auf einen hohen Berg.
And He was transfigured before them; and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as light.
Und er wurde vor ihnen verwandelt; sein Gesicht leuchtete wie die Sonne und seine Kleider wurden weiß wie das Licht.
And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him.
Und siehe, es erschienen ihnen Mose und Elija und redeten mit Jesus.
Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, I will make three tabernacles here, one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
Und Petrus antwortete und sagte zu Jesus: Herr, es ist gut, dass wir hier sind. Wenn du willst, werde ich hier drei Hütten bauen, eine für dich, eine für Mose und eine für Elija.
While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice out of the cloud said, “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!”
Noch während er redete, siehe, eine leuchtende Wolke überschattete sie und siehe, eine Stimme erscholl aus der Wolke: Dieser ist mein geliebter Sohn, an dem ich Wohlgefallen gefunden habe; auf ihn sollt ihr hören.
When the disciples heard this, they fell face down to the ground and were terrified.
Als die Jünger das hörten, warfen sie sich mit dem Gesicht zu Boden und fürchteten sich sehr.
And Jesus came to them and touched them and said, “Get up, and do not be afraid.”
Da trat Jesus zu ihnen, fasste sie an und sagte: Steht auf und fürchtet euch nicht!
And lifting up their eyes, they saw no one except Jesus Himself alone.
Und als sie aufblickten, sahen sie niemanden außer Jesus allein.
As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, “Tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man has risen from the dead.”
Während sie den Berg hinabstiegen, gebot ihnen Jesus: Erzählt niemandem von dem, was ihr gesehen habt, bis der Menschensohn von den Toten auferstanden ist!
And His disciples asked Him, “Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”
Da fragten ihn die Jünger: Warum sagen denn die Schriftgelehrten, zuerst müsse Elija kommen?
And He answered and said, “Elijah is coming and will restore all things;
Er gab zur Antwort: Ja, Elija kommt und er wird alles wiederherstellen.
but I say to you that Elijah already came, and they did not recognize him, but did to him whatever they wished. So also the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.”
Ich sage euch aber: Elija ist schon gekommen, doch sie haben ihn nicht erkannt, sondern mit ihm gemacht, was sie wollten. Ebenso wird auch der Menschensohn durch sie leiden müssen.
Then the disciples understood that He had spoken to them about John the Baptist.
Da verstanden die Jünger, dass er zu ihnen von Johannes dem Täufer sprach.
The Demoniac
When they came to the crowd, a man came up to Jesus, falling on his knees before Him and saying,
Als sie zu den Volksscharen zurückkamen, trat ein Mensch auf ihn zu, fiel vor ihm auf die Knie
“Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is a lunatic and is very ill; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water.
und sagte: Herr, hab Erbarmen mit meinem Sohn! Er ist mondsüchtig und hat schwer zu leiden. Oft fällt er ins Feuer und oft ins Wasser.
“I brought him to Your disciples, and they could not cure him.”
Ich habe ihn schon zu deinen Jüngern gebracht, aber sie konnten ihn nicht heilen.
And Jesus answered and said, “You unbelieving and perverted generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him here to Me.”
Da sagte Jesus: O du ungläubige und verkehrte Generation! Wie lange muss ich noch bei euch sein? Wie lange muss ich euch noch ertragen? Bringt ihn her zu mir!
And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out of him, and the boy was cured at once.
Und Jesus drohte ihm und der Dämon fuhr von ihm aus. Und der Knabe war von jener Stunde an geheilt.
Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not drive it out?”
Als die Jünger mit Jesus allein waren, wandten sie sich an ihn und fragten: Warum konnten denn wir den Dämon nicht austreiben?
And He said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.
Er antwortete: Wegen eures Kleinglaubens. Denn, amen, ich sage euch: Wenn ihr Glauben habt wie ein Senfkorn, dann werdet ihr zu diesem Berg sagen: Rück von hier nach dort! und er wird wegrücken. Nichts wird euch unmöglich sein. [21]
And while they were gathering together in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men;
Als sie in Galiläa zusammen waren, sagte Jesus zu ihnen: Der Menschensohn wird in die Hände von Menschen ausgeliefert werden
and they will kill Him, and He will be raised on the third day.” And they were deeply grieved.
und sie werden ihn töten; aber am dritten Tag wird er auferstehen. Da wurden sie sehr traurig.
The Tribute Money
When they came to Capernaum, those who collected the two-drachma tax came to Peter and said, “Does your teacher not pay the two-drachma tax?”
Als Jesus und die Jünger nach Kafarnaum kamen, traten jene, welche die Doppeldrachme einzogen, zu Petrus und fragten: Zahlt euer Meister die Doppeldrachme nicht?
He said, “Yes.” And when he came into the house, Jesus spoke to him first, saying, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth collect customs or poll-tax, from their sons or from strangers?”
Er antwortete: Doch! Als er dann ins Haus hineinging, kam ihm Jesus mit der Frage zuvor: Was meinst du, Simon, von wem erheben die Könige dieser Welt Zölle und Steuern? Von ihren eigenen Söhnen oder von den anderen Leuten?
When Peter said, “From strangers,” Jesus said to him, “Then the sons are exempt.
Als Petrus antwortete: Von den anderen!, sagte Jesus zu ihm: Also sind die Söhne frei.
“However, so that we do not offend them, go to the sea and throw in a hook, and take the first fish that comes up; and when you open its mouth, you will find a shekel. Take that and give it to them for you and Me.”
Damit wir aber bei ihnen keinen Anstoß erregen, geh an den See, wirf die Angel aus und den ersten Fisch, den du heraufholst, nimm, öffne ihm das Maul und du wirst ein Vierdrachmenstück finden. Das gib ihnen als Steuer für mich und für dich.
