Auch über die Gaben des Geistes möchte ich euch nicht in Unkenntnis lassen, meine Brüder und Schwestern.
You know that when you were pagans, you were led astray to the mute idols, however you were led.
Als ihr noch Heiden wart, zog es euch, wie ihr wisst, mit unwiderstehlicher Gewalt zu den stummen Götzen.
Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is accursed”; and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
Darum erkläre ich euch: Keiner, der aus dem Geist Gottes redet, sagt: Jesus sei verflucht! Und keiner kann sagen: Jesus ist der Herr!, wenn er nicht aus dem Heiligen Geist redet.
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit.
Es gibt verschiedene Gnadengaben, aber nur den einen Geist.
And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord.
Es gibt verschiedene Dienste, aber nur den einen Herrn.
There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons.
Es gibt verschiedene Kräfte, die wirken, aber nur den einen Gott: Er bewirkt alles in allen.
But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
Jedem aber wird die Offenbarung des Geistes geschenkt, damit sie anderen nützt.
For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit;
Dem einen wird vom Geist die Gabe geschenkt, Weisheit mitzuteilen, dem anderen durch denselben Geist die Gabe, Erkenntnis zu vermitteln,
to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,
einem anderen in demselben Geist Glaubenskraft, einem anderen — immer in dem einen Geist — die Gabe, Krankheiten zu heilen,
and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues.
einem anderen Kräfte, Machttaten zu wirken, einem anderen prophetisches Reden, einem anderen die Fähigkeit, die Geister zu unterscheiden, wieder einem anderen verschiedene Arten von Zungenrede, einem anderen schließlich die Gabe, sie zu übersetzen.
But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.
Das alles bewirkt ein und derselbe Geist; einem jeden teilt er seine besondere Gabe zu, wie er will.
For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ.
Denn wie der Leib einer ist, doch viele Glieder hat, alle Glieder des Leibes aber, obgleich es viele sind, einen einzigen Leib bilden: So ist es auch mit Christus.
For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
Durch den einen Geist wurden wir in der Taufe alle in einen einzigen Leib aufgenommen, Juden und Griechen, Sklaven und Freie; und alle wurden wir mit dem einen Geist getränkt.
For the body is not one member, but many.
Auch der Leib besteht nicht nur aus einem Glied, sondern aus vielen Gliedern.
If the foot says, “Because I am not a hand, I am not a part of the body,” it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body.
Wenn der Fuß sagt: Ich bin keine Hand, ich gehöre nicht zum Leib!, so gehört er doch zum Leib.
And if the ear says, “Because I am not an eye, I am not a part of the body,” it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body.
Und wenn das Ohr sagt: Ich bin kein Auge, ich gehöre nicht zum Leib!, so gehört es doch zum Leib.
If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the sense of smell be?
Wenn der ganze Leib nur Auge wäre, wo bliebe dann das Gehör? Wenn er nur Gehör wäre, wo bliebe dann der Geruchssinn?
But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired.
Nun aber hat Gott jedes einzelne Glied so in den Leib eingefügt, wie es seiner Absicht entsprach.
If they were all one member, where would the body be?
Wären alle zusammen nur ein Glied, wo bliebe dann der Leib?
But now there are many members, but one body.
So aber gibt es viele Glieder und doch nur einen Leib.
And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; or again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.”
Das Auge kann nicht zur Hand sagen: Ich brauche dich nicht. Der Kopf wiederum kann nicht zu den Füßen sagen: Ich brauche euch nicht.
On the contrary, it is much truer that the members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary;
Im Gegenteil, gerade die schwächer scheinenden Glieder des Leibes sind unentbehrlich.
and those members of the body which we deem less honorable, on these we bestow more abundant honor, and our less presentable members become much more presentable,
Denen, die wir für weniger edel ansehen, erweisen wir umso mehr Ehre und unseren weniger anständigen Gliedern begegnen wir mit umso mehr Anstand,
whereas our more presentable members have no need of it. But God has so composed the body, giving more abundant honor to that member which lacked,
während die anständigen das nicht nötig haben. Gott aber hat den Leib so zusammengefügt, dass er dem benachteiligten Glied umso mehr Ehre zukommen ließ,
so that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.
damit im Leib kein Zwiespalt entstehe, sondern alle Glieder einträchtig füreinander sorgen.
And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
Wenn darum ein Glied leidet, leiden alle Glieder mit; wenn ein Glied geehrt wird, freuen sich alle Glieder mit.
Now you are Christ’s body, and individually members of it.
Ihr aber seid der Leib Christi und jeder Einzelne ist ein Glied an ihm.
And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, various kinds of tongues.
So hat Gott in der Kirche die einen erstens als Apostel eingesetzt, zweitens als Propheten, drittens als Lehrer; ferner verlieh er die Kraft, Machttaten zu wirken, sodann die Gaben, Krankheiten zu heilen, zu helfen, zu leiten, endlich die verschiedenen Arten von Zungenrede.
All are not apostles, are they? All are not prophets, are they? All are not teachers, are they? All are not workers of miracles, are they?
Sind etwa alle Apostel, alle Propheten, alle Lehrer? Haben alle die Kraft, Machttaten zu wirken?
All do not have gifts of healings, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not interpret, do they?
Besitzen alle die Gabe, Krankheiten zu heilen? Reden alle in Zungen? Können alle übersetzen?
