Jeder soll immer am ersten Tag der Woche etwas zurücklegen und so zusammensparen, was er kann. Dann sind keine Sammlungen mehr nötig, wenn ich komme.

Was den Bruder Apollos angeht, so habe ich ihn dringend gebeten, er möge mit den Brüdern zu euch reisen, aber er wollte auf keinen Fall jetzt kommen. Er wird aber kommen, wenn er eine günstige Gelegenheit findet.
Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
Seid wachsam, steht fest im Glauben, seid mutig, seid stark!

that you also be in subjection to such men and to everyone who helps in the work and labors.
Solchen ordnet euch unter, ebenso jedem, der mitarbeitet und sich abmüht!
I rejoice over the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have supplied what was lacking on your part.
Es freut mich, dass Stephanas, Fortunatus und Achaikus zu mir gekommen sind; sie sind mir ein Ersatz für euch, da ihr nicht hier sein könnt.
For they have refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore acknowledge such men.
