Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
Im Übrigen, Brüder und Schwestern: Was immer wahrhaft, edel, recht, was lauter, liebenswert, ansprechend ist, was Tugend heißt und lobenswert ist, darauf seid bedacht!
The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
Und was ihr gelernt und angenommen, gehört und an mir gesehen habt, das tut! Und der Gott des Friedens wird mit euch sein.
God’s Provisions
But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last you have revived your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned before, but you lacked opportunity.

Ich weiß Entbehrungen zu ertragen, ich kann im Überfluss leben. In jedes und alles bin ich eingeweiht: in Sattsein und Hungern, Überfluss und Entbehrung.
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
Alles vermag ich durch den, der mich stärkt.

Doch ihr habt recht daran getan, an meiner Bedrängnis Anteil zu nehmen.

Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek for the profit which increases to your account.
Es geht mir nicht um die Gabe, es geht mir um den Gewinn, der euch mit Zinsen gutgeschrieben wird.
But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.
Ich habe alles empfangen und habe Überfluss; ich lebe in Fülle. Mir fehlt nichts mehr, seit ich von Epaphroditus eure Gaben erhielt, einen Wohlgeruch, eine angenehme Opfergabe, die Gott gefällt.
And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Mein Gott aber wird euch durch Christus Jesus alles, was ihr nötig habt, aus dem Reichtum seiner Herrlichkeit schenken.
Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
