Now these are the kings of the land whom the sons of Israel defeated, and whose land they possessed beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise, from the valley of the Arnon as far as Mount Hermon, and all the Arabah to the east:

Östlich des Jordan hatten die Israeliten das ganze Gebiet erobert, das zwischen dem Fluss Arnon im Süden und dem Hermongebirge im Norden liegt, einschließlich des gesamten Ostjordantals. Zwei Könige hatten sie dort besiegt:
