Nun zeigte mir der Engel den Fluss, in dem das Wasser des Lebens fließt. Er entspringt am Thron Gottes und des Lammes, und sein Wasser ist so klar wie Kristall.
in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
An beiden Ufern des Flusses, der neben der Hauptstraße der Stadt fließt, wachsen Bäume des Lebens. Sie tragen zwölfmal im Jahr Früchte, jeden Monat aufs Neue. Die Blätter dieser Bäume dienen den Völkern zur Heilung.
There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him;
In der Stadt wird nichts und niemand mehr unter Gottes Fluch stehen. Denn der Thron Gottes und des Lammes steht in ihr, und alle ihre Bewohner werden Gott anbeten und ihm dienen.
they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.
Sie werden Gott von Angesicht zu Angesicht sehen, und seinen Namen werden sie auf ihrer Stirn tragen.
And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign forever and ever.
Dort wird es keine Nacht geben, und man braucht weder Lampen noch das Licht der Sonne. Denn Gott, der Herr, wird ihr Licht sein, und sie werden immer und ewig mit ihm herrschen.
And he said to me, “These words are faithful and true”; and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent His angel to show to His bond-servants the things which must soon take place.
Danach sprach der Engel zu mir: »Alles, was ich dir gesagt habe, ist zuverlässig und wahr. Gott, der Herr, dessen Geist durch den Mund der Propheten spricht, hat seinen Engel geschickt; durch ihn sollen alle, die Gott dienen, erfahren, was bald geschehen muss.
“And behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book.”
Jesus sagt: ›Macht euch bereit! Ich komme bald. Glücklich ist, wer sich nach den prophetischen Worten dieses Buches richtet!‹«
I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed me these things.
Dies alles habe ich, Johannes, gehört und gesehen. Ich fiel vor dem Engel, der mir alles gezeigt hatte, nieder und wollte ihn anbeten.
But he said to me, “Do not do that. I am a fellow servant of yours and of your brethren the prophets and of those who heed the words of this book. Worship God.”
Aber er wehrte ab und sagte: »Nein, tu es nicht! Ich diene Gott ebenso wie du und deine Brüder und Schwestern, die Propheten, und wie all die anderen, die nach den Worten dieses Buches leben. Gott allein sollst du anbeten!«
The Final Message
And he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near.
Dann sagte er zu mir: »Halte die prophetischen Worte nicht geheim, die du aufgeschrieben hast, denn sie werden bald in Erfüllung gehen.
“Let the one who does wrong, still do wrong; and the one who is filthy, still be filthy; and let the one who is righteous, still practice righteousness; and the one who is holy, still keep himself holy.”
Wer dennoch weiter Unrecht tun will, der soll es tun. Wer mit Schuld beladen bleiben will, der soll es bleiben. Doch wer ein Leben führt, wie es Gott gefällt, der soll weiterhin so leben. Und wer Gott gehört, der soll bei ihm bleiben.«
“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.
Jesus sagt: »Macht euch bereit! Ich komme schnell und unerwartet und werde jedem den verdienten Lohn geben.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”
Ich bin der Erste und der Letzte, der Anfang und das Ziel, das A und das O.«
Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city.
Glücklich werden alle sein, die ihre Kleider reinwaschen. Sie dürfen die Früchte vom Baum des Lebens essen und haben freien Zugang zur Stadt.
Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the immoral persons and the murderers and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying.
Draußen vor den Toren der Stadt müssen alle Feinde Gottes bleiben: alle, die sich mit Zauberei abgeben, die sexuell unmoralisch leben, die Mörder, alle, die Götzen anbeten, die gerne lügen und betrügen.
“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.”
»Ich, Jesus, habe meinen Engel zu dir gesandt, damit du den Gemeinden alles mitteilst. Ich bin der Nachkomme aus der Familie von David, der Trieb, der aus seiner Wurzel hervorsprießt. Ich bin der helle Morgenstern.«
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.
Der Geist und die Braut sagen: »Komm!« Und wer das hört, soll auch rufen: »Komm!« Wer durstig ist, der soll kommen. Jedem, der es haben möchte, wird Gott das Wasser des Lebens schenken.
I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book;
Wer auch immer die prophetischen Worte dieses Buches hört, den warne ich nachdrücklich: Wer diesen Worten etwas hinzufügt, dem wird Gott all das Unheil zufügen, das in diesem Buch beschrieben wurde.
and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.
Und wer etwas von diesen prophetischen Worten wegnimmt, dem wird Gott auch seinen Anteil am Baum des Lebens und an der Heiligen Stadt wegnehmen, die in diesem Buch beschrieben sind.
He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
Der alle diese Dinge bezeugt, der sagt: »Ja, ich komme bald!« Amen! Ja, komm, Herr Jesus!
