“Let us build up these towns,” he said to Judah, “and put walls around them, with towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours, because we have sought the Lord our God; we sought him and he has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered.

Було ж у Аси військової сили: з коліна Юди 300 000 мужів, озброєних щитом та списом, а з коліна Веніямина 280 000, озброєних щитом і лучників. Всі вони були відважні вояки.

— Построим эти города, — сказал он народу Иудеи, — и обнесем их стенами с башнями, воротами и засовами. Земля пока наша, потому что мы искали Господа, нашего Бога. Мы искали Его, и Он даровал нам мир со всех сторон.
Они принялись строить города и преуспевали в этом. -
І в Аси була армія важкоозброєної піхоти: в землі Юди — триста тисяч, які несли щити і списи, а в землі Веніаміна — двісті п’ятдесят тисяч лучників і стрільців, усі вони — сильні воїни.
