das Botschafter auf dem Meer sendet und in Rohrschiffen auf den Wassern fährt! Gehet hin, ihr schnellen Boten, zum Volk, das hochgewachsen und glatt ist, zum Volk, das schrecklicher ist denn sonst irgend eins, zum Volk, das gebeut und zertritt, welchem die Wasserströme sein Land einnehmen.

Alle, die ihr auf Erden wohnet und im Lande sitzet, werdet sehen, wie man das Panier auf den Bergen aufwerfen wird, und hören, wie man die Drommete blasen wird.

Denn so spricht der HERR zu mir: Ich will stillhalten und schauen in meinem Sitz wie bei heller Hitze im Sonnenschein, wie bei Taugewölk in der Hitze der Ernte.

Denn vor der Ernte, wenn die Blüte vorüber ist und die Traube reift, wird man die Ranken mit Hippen abschneiden und die Reben wegnehmen und abhauen,

daß man’s miteinander läßt liegen den Vögeln auf den Bergen und den Tieren im Lande, daß des Sommers die Vögel darin nisten und des Winters allerlei Tiere im Lande darin liegen.

Zu der Zeit wird das hochgewachsene und glatte Volk, das schrecklicher ist denn sonst irgend eins, das gebeut und zertritt, welchem die Wasserströme sein Land einnehmen, Geschenke bringen dem HERRN Zebaoth an den Ort, da der Name des HERRN Zebaoth ist, zum Berge Zion.
