Промовляйте до серця Єрусалиму, і закли́чте до нього, що ви́повнилась його доля тяжка́, що вина йому ви́бачена, що він за свої всі гріхи вдвоє взяв з руки Господа!
Голос кли́че: На пустині вготу́йте дорогу Господню, в степу ви́рівняйте битий шлях Богу нашому!

Голос кли́че: „Звіща́й!“ Я ж спитав: „Про що буду звіща́ти? Всяке тіло — трава, всяка ж слава — як цвіт польови́й:

На го́ру високу зберися собі, благові́снику Сіону, свого голоса сильно підви́щ, благові́снику Єрусалиму! Підви́щ, не лякайся, скажи містам Юди: Ось Бог ваш!

Хто во́ди помі́ряв своєю долонею, а п'я́дею ви́міряв небо, і трети́ною міри обняв пил землі, і гори ті зва́жив ваго́ю, а взгі́р'я — шалька́ми?
Хто Господнього Духа збагну́в, і де́ та люди́на, що ради свої подава́ла Йому́?

По́що говориш ти, Якове, і кажеш, Ізраїлю: „Закрита доро́га моя перед Господом, і від Бога мого відійшло́ моє право“.
