“Come, all you who are thirsty,

and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!

Wohlan, alle, die ihr durstig seid, kommet her zum Wasser! und die ihr nicht Geld habt, kommet her, kaufet und esset; kommt her und kauft ohne Geld und umsonst beides, Wein und Milch!
Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,
and you will delight in the richest of fare.

Warum zählet ihr Geld dar, da kein Brot ist und tut Arbeit, davon ihr nicht satt werden könnt? Höret mir doch zu und esset das Gute, so wird eure Seele am Fetten ihre Lust haben.

Siehe, du wirst Heiden rufen, die du nicht kennst; und Heiden, die dich nicht kennen, werden zu dir laufen um des HERRN willen, deines Gottes, und des Heiligen in Israel, der dich herrlich gemacht hat.

Der Gottlose lasse von seinem Wege und der Übeltäter seine Gedanken und bekehre sich zum HERRN, so wird er sich sein erbarmen, und zu unserm Gott, denn bei ihm ist viel Vergebung.

also soll das Wort, so aus meinem Munde geht, auch sein. Es soll nicht wieder zu mir leer kommen, sondern tun, was mir gefällt, und soll ihm gelingen, dazu ich’s sende.

Denn ihr sollt in Freuden ausziehen und im Frieden geleitet werden. Berge und Hügel sollen vor euch her frohlocken mit Ruhm und alle Bäume auf dem Felde mit den Händen klatschen.

Es sollen Tannen für Hecken wachsen und Myrten für Dornen; und dem HERRN soll ein Name und ewiges Zeichen sein, das nicht ausgerottet werde.
