Miriam and Aaron Oppose Moses

Als sie in Hazerot waren, redeten Mirjam und Aaron gegen Mose wegen der kuschitischen Frau, die er sich genommen hatte. Er hatte sich nämlich eine Kuschiterin zur Frau genommen.
“Has the Lord spoken only through Moses?” they asked. “Hasn’t he also spoken through us?” And the Lord heard this.
Sie sagten: Hat der HERR etwa nur durch Mose gesprochen? Hat er nicht auch durch uns gesprochen? Das hörte der HERR.
(Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.)
Mose aber war ein sehr demütiger Mann, demütiger als alle Menschen auf der Erde.
At once the Lord said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam, “Come out to the tent of meeting, all three of you.” So the three of them went out.
Da sprach der HERR plötzlich zu Mose, Aaron und Mirjam: Geht ihr drei hinaus zum Offenbarungszelt! Da gingen die drei hinaus.
Then the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud; he stood at the entrance to the tent and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When the two of them stepped forward,
Der HERR kam in der Wolkensäule herab, blieb am Zelteingang stehen und rief Aaron und Mirjam. Beide traten vor
he said, “Listen to my words:
“When there is a prophet among you,
I, the Lord, reveal myself to them in visions,
I speak to them in dreams.
“When there is a prophet among you,
I, the Lord, reveal myself to them in visions,
I speak to them in dreams.
und der HERR sprach: Hört meine Worte! Wenn es bei euch einen Propheten gibt, so gebe ich mich ihm in einer Vision als der HERR zu erkennen, im Traum rede ich mit ihm.
But this is not true of my servant Moses;
he is faithful in all my house.

Anders bei meinem Knecht Mose. Mein ganzes Haus ist ihm anvertraut.
With him I speak face to face,
clearly and not in riddles;
he sees the form of the Lord.
Why then were you not afraid
to speak against my servant Moses?”

Von Mund zu Mund rede ich mit ihm, in einer Vision, nicht in Rätseln. Die Gestalt des HERRN darf er sehen. Warum habt ihr euch nicht gefürchtet, gegen meinen Knecht, gegen Mose, zu reden?
The anger of the Lord burned against them, and he left them.
Da entbrannte der Zorn des HERRN gegen sie und er ging weg.
Als die Wolke vom Zelt gewichen war, siehe, da war Mirjam weiß wie Schnee vor Aussatz. Aaron wandte sich Mirjam zu und siehe, sie war aussätzig.
and he said to Moses, “Please, my lord, I ask you not to hold against us the sin we have so foolishly committed.
Da sagte Aaron zu Mose: Mein Herr, ich bitte dich, lege uns die Sünde nicht zur Last, mit der wir töricht gehandelt haben und mit der wir uns versündigt haben!
Do not let her be like a stillborn infant coming from its mother’s womb with its flesh half eaten away.”
Mirjam soll nicht wie eine Totgeburt sein, halb verwest, wenn sie den Schoß der Mutter verlässt.
So Moses cried out to the Lord, “Please, God, heal her!”
Da schrie Mose zum HERRN: O Gott, heile sie doch!
The Lord replied to Moses, “If her father had spit in her face, would she not have been in disgrace for seven days? Confine her outside the camp for seven days; after that she can be brought back.”
Der HERR antwortete Mose: Wenn ihr Vater ihr ins Gesicht gespuckt hätte, müsste sie sich dann nicht sieben Tage lang schämen? Sie soll sieben Tage lang aus dem Lager ausgesperrt sein; erst dann soll man sie wieder hereinlassen.
So Miriam was confined outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not move on till she was brought back.
So wurde Mirjam sieben Tage aus dem Lager ausgesperrt. Das Volk brach nicht auf, bis man Mirjam wieder hereinließ.
