“Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘If a man or woman wants to make a special vow, a vow of dedication to the Lord as a Nazirite,
»Sag den Israeliten: Wenn ein Mensch, gleich ob Mann oder Frau, ein Gelübde abgelegt hat, sich eine Zeit lang ganz mir, dem HERRN, zu weihen,
they must abstain from wine and other fermented drink and must not drink vinegar made from wine or other fermented drink. They must not drink grape juice or eat grapes or raisins.
dann soll er weder Wein noch sonst ein berauschendes Getränk noch Essig zu sich nehmen. Er darf auch keinen Traubensaft trinken und weder frische noch getrocknete Trauben essen.
As long as they remain under their Nazirite vow, they must not eat anything that comes from the grapevine, not even the seeds or skins.
Solange sein Versprechen gilt, soll er nichts verzehren, was aus Trauben zubereitet wird, auch nicht die Kerne oder die Haut der Trauben.
“ ‘During the entire period of their Nazirite vow, no razor may be used on their head. They must be holy until the period of their dedication to the Lord is over; they must let their hair grow long.
Während der ganzen Zeit, in der er sich mir geweiht hat, dient er allein mir. Als Zeichen dafür soll er sein Haar in dieser Zeit nicht schneiden, sondern frei wachsen lassen.
“ ‘Throughout the period of their dedication to the Lord, the Nazirite must not go near a dead body.
Er darf auch nicht in die Nähe eines Toten kommen, solange er mir geweiht ist.
Even if their own father or mother or brother or sister dies, they must not make themselves ceremonially unclean on account of them, because the symbol of their dedication to God is on their head.
Selbst wenn sein Vater, seine Mutter, sein Bruder oder seine Schwester stirbt, darf er sich nicht dadurch verunreinigen, dass er in ihre Nähe kommt. Denn er dient mir, seinem Gott,
Throughout the period of their dedication, they are consecrated to the Lord.
und soll rein bleiben, solange sein Versprechen gilt.
“ ‘If someone dies suddenly in the Nazirite’s presence, thus defiling the hair that symbolizes their dedication, they must shave their head on the seventh day — the day of their cleansing.
Wenn jemand plötzlich stirbt, während er in der Nähe ist, wird er unrein und entweiht sein Haar, das er als Zeichen seiner Weihe wachsen ließ. Sieben Tage später soll er sich reinigen und die Haare abschneiden lassen.
Then on the eighth day they must bring two doves or two young pigeons to the priest at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
Am achten Tag muss er mit zwei Turteltauben oder zwei anderen jungen Tauben zum Eingang des heiligen Zeltes gehen und sie dem Priester geben.
Dieser bringt die eine Taube als Sündopfer und die andere als Brandopfer dar. So erwirkt der Priester Sühne für den, der durch die Nähe eines Toten unrein geworden ist; noch am selben Tag soll der Priester ihn erneut weihen.
They must rededicate themselves to the Lord for the same period of dedication and must bring a year-old male lamb as a guilt offering. The previous days do not count, because they became defiled during their period of dedication.
Dann soll der Geweihte ein einjähriges Lamm zur Vergebung seiner Schuld opfern. Die Zeit, die er mir versprochen hat, muss nun noch einmal von vorn beginnen. Die Tage vorher zählen nicht, weil er sich durch die Verunreinigung entweiht hat.«
“ ‘Now this is the law of the Nazirite when the period of their dedication is over. They are to be brought to the entrance to the tent of meeting.
»Weiter gilt für den Menschen, der sich mir, dem Herrn, geweiht hat: Wenn die Zeit um ist, in der er ganz für mich da war, soll man ihn zum Eingang des heiligen Zeltes führen.
There they are to present their offerings to the Lord: a year-old male lamb without defect for a burnt offering, a year-old ewe lamb without defect for a sin offering, a ram without defect for a fellowship offering,
Er soll mir drei gesunde, fehlerlose Tiere opfern: zwei einjährige Lämmer — ein männliches für das Brandopfer und ein weibliches für das Sündopfer — und einen Schafbock für das Friedensopfer;
together with their grain offerings and drink offerings, and a basket of bread made with the finest flour and without yeast — thick loaves with olive oil mixed in, and thin loaves brushed with olive oil.
außerdem die dazugehörigen Speise- und Trankopfer sowie einen Korb voll Kuchen und Fladenbrote, die aus feinem Weizenmehl ohne Sauerteig gebacken sind. Die Kuchen sollen aus mit Öl vermengtem Mehl zubereitet und die Fladenbrote mit Öl bestrichen sein.
“ ‘The priest is to present all these before the Lord and make the sin offering and the burnt offering.
Der Priester trägt alle Gaben zum Altar, um sie mir darzubringen: Zuerst das Sündopfer und das Brandopfer,
He is to present the basket of unleavened bread and is to sacrifice the ram as a fellowship offering to the Lord, together with its grain offering and drink offering.
dann folgen der Schafbock als Friedensopfer, der Korb mit den ungesäuerten Broten und Kuchen sowie die übrigen Speise- und Trankopfer.
“ ‘Then at the entrance to the tent of meeting, the Nazirite must shave off the hair that symbolizes their dedication. They are to take the hair and put it in the fire that is under the sacrifice of the fellowship offering.
Während der Opferung soll der Gottgeweihte am Eingang des heiligen Zeltes sein langes Haar abschneiden lassen und ins Feuer unter dem Friedensopfer werfen.
“ ‘After the Nazirite has shaved off the hair that symbolizes their dedication, the priest is to place in their hands a boiled shoulder of the ram, and one thick loaf and one thin loaf from the basket, both made without yeast.
Wenn dies geschehen ist, holt der Priester eine gekochte Schulter des Schafbocks, einen Kuchen und ein Fladenbrot aus dem Korb und legt alles in die Hände des Geweihten.
The priest shall then wave these before the Lord as a wave offering; they are holy and belong to the priest, together with the breast that was waved and the thigh that was presented. After that, the Nazirite may drink wine.
Dann nimmt er es wieder zurück, hält es in Richtung des Altars hoch und schwingt es hin und her, um zu zeigen, dass es mir, dem HERRN, gehören soll. Dieses heilige Schwingopfer behält der Priester. Er bekommt außerdem als seinen Anteil die Brust und einen Schenkel des Friedensopfers, die er ebenfalls hin- und herschwingt. Wenn die Opfer dargebracht sind, darf der Geweihte wieder Wein trinken.
“ ‘This is the law of the Nazirite who vows offerings to the Lord in accordance with their dedication, in addition to whatever else they can afford. They must fulfill the vows they have made, according to the law of the Nazirite.’ ”
Diese Bestimmungen gelten für jeden, der mir, dem HERRN, in besonderer Weise dienen will. Er muss alle Opfer darbringen, die dieses Gesetz vorschreibt. Er kann auch noch mehr geben. Auf jeden Fall aber soll er das einhalten, was er versprochen hat und was dieses Gesetz verlangt.«
“Tell Aaron and his sons, ‘This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:
»Sag Aaron und seinen Söhnen, sie sollen die Israeliten mit diesen Worten segnen:
the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
and be gracious to you;
Der HERR blicke dich freundlich an und sei dir gnädig!
the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.” ’

Der HERR wende sich dir in Liebe zu und gebe dir Frieden!‹
