The Lord’s Eternal Love

A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed and pours out his complaint before the Lord.

Hear my prayer, O Lord,
And let my cry come to You.

Молитва нужденного, що, униваючи серцем, виливає жаль свій перед Господом. Господи, почуй молитву мою, і прийми жаль мій!

2

Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my trouble;
Incline Your ear to me;
In the day that I call, answer me speedily.

Не ховай лиця твого в день тїсноти моєї; прихили ухо до мене; в день, коли призиваю тебе, не гайся, вислухай мене.

3

For my days [a]are consumed like smoke,
And my bones are burned like a hearth.

Бо днї мої, як дим, улїтають, і костї мої, як у жарі, тлїють.

4

My heart is stricken and withered like grass,
So that I forget to eat my bread.

Як билина, серце моє обгоріло та ізсохло, вже забув я хлїб мій їсти.

Because of the sound of my groaning
My bones cling to my [b]skin.

Від голосу мого стогнання пристали костї мої до тїла.

I am like a pelican of the wilderness;
I am like an owl of the desert.

Я, мов пеликан в пустинї, мов сова на руїнах.

I lie awake,
And am like a sparrow alone on the housetop.

Не сплю і став, як одинока пташина на криші.

My enemies reproach me all day long;
Those who deride me swear an oath against me.

Цїлий день кепкують з мене вороги мої; кленуться мною ті, що проти мене лютують.

For I have eaten ashes like bread,
And mingled my drink with weeping,

Попіл став для мене хлїбом, а напиток мій з сльозами мішаю,

Because of Your indignation and Your wrath;
For You have lifted me up and cast me away.

Задля гнїву твого і яростї твоєї; ти бо підняв мене, і кинув мене.

11

My days are like a shadow that lengthens,
And I wither away like grass.

11

Днї мої, як тїнь зникають, і як трава я сохну.

12

But You, O Lord, shall endure forever,
And the remembrance of Your name to all generations.

Ти ж, Господи, будеш по віки, і память твоя з роду в рід.

13

You will arise and have mercy on Zion;
For the time to favor her,
Yes, the set time, has come.

13

Ти встанеш, змилосердишся над Сионом; час бо вже, помилувати їх, прийшов бо визначений час.

14

For Your servants take pleasure in her stones,
And show favor to her dust.

14

Твої бо слуги полюбили каміння його, і жаль їм розвалин його.

15

So the [c]nations shall fear the name of the Lord,
And all the kings of the earth Your glory.

15

І побояться народи імені Господа, і слави твоєї всї царі землї.

16

For the Lord shall build up Zion;
He shall appear in His glory.

Коли Господь відбудує, явиться в славі своїй.

17

He shall regard the prayer of the destitute,
And shall not despise their prayer.

17

Він прихилиться до молитви понижених, і молитвою їх не погордує.

18

This will be written for the generation to come,
That a people yet to be created may praise the Lord.

18

Буде се написано для будучих потомків; і нарід наново сотворений буде Господа хвалити.

19

For He looked down from the height of His sanctuary;
From heaven the Lord viewed the earth,

Він бо глянув з висоти сьвятинї своєї, Господь споглянув з неба на землю,

20

To hear the groaning of the prisoner,
To release those appointed to death,

20

Щоб почути стогнаннє невільника, щоб розкувати дїтей смертї.

21

To declare the name of the Lord in Zion,
And His praise in Jerusalem,

21

Щоб звіщали імя його на Сионї і хвалу його в Ерусалимі,

22

When the peoples are gathered together,
And the kingdoms, to serve the Lord.

Коли разом зберуться народи і царства, щоб Господеві служити.

23

He weakened my strength in the way;
He shortened my days.

Він змучив в дорозї силу мою; вкоротив днї мої.

24

I said, “O my God,
Do not take me away in the midst of my days;
Your years are throughout all generations.

24

Я сказав: Боже мій, не возьми мене в половинї днїв моїх! Від роду до роду лїта твої!

25

Of old You laid the foundation of the earth,
And the heavens are the work of Your hands.

25

З нащаду сьвіта ти утвердив землю, і небеса — твориво рук твоїх.

26

They will perish, but You will [d]endure;
Yes, they will all grow old like a garment;
Like a cloak You will change them,
And they will be changed.

26

Вони перейдуть, ти ж останешся, вони всї, як одежа, зостаріються; як шати переміниш їх, і вони переміняться.

27

But You are the same,
And Your years will have no end.

27

Ти ж все той самий, і лїтам твоїм нема кінця.

28

The children of Your servants will continue,
And their descendants will be established before You.”

28

Сини слугів твоїх будуть жити, і насїннє їх не загине перед тобою.
