New Living Translation

  • Praise to God for His Everlasting Mercy

    Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
    For His mercy endures forever.
  • Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good!
    His faithful love endures forever.
  • Let Israel now say,
    “His mercy endures forever.”
  • Let all Israel repeat:
    “His faithful love endures forever.”
  • Let the house of Aaron now say,
    “His mercy endures forever.”
  • Let Aaron’s descendants, the priests, repeat:
    “His faithful love endures forever.”
  • Let those who fear the Lord now say,
    “His mercy endures forever.”
  • Let all who fear the LORD repeat:
    “His faithful love endures forever.”
  • I called on the Lord in distress;
    The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place.
  • In my distress I prayed to the LORD,
    and the LORD answered me and set me free.
  • The Lord is on my side;
    I will not fear.
    What can man do to me?
  • The LORD is for me, so I will have no fear.
    What can mere people do to me?
  • The Lord is for me among those who help me;
    Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me.
  • Yes, the LORD is for me; he will help me.
    I will look in triumph at those who hate me.
  • It is better to trust in the Lord
    Than to put confidence in man.
  • It is better to take refuge in the LORD
    than to trust in people.
  • It is better to trust in the Lord
    Than to put confidence in princes.
  • It is better to take refuge in the LORD
    than to trust in princes.
  • All nations surrounded me,
    But in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.
  • Though hostile nations surrounded me,
    I destroyed them all with the authority of the LORD.
  • They surrounded me,
    Yes, they surrounded me;
    But in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.
  • Yes, they surrounded and attacked me,
    but I destroyed them all with the authority of the LORD.
  • They surrounded me like bees;
    They were quenched like a fire of thorns;
    For in the name of the Lord I will [a]destroy them.
  • They swarmed around me like bees;
    they blazed against me like a crackling fire.
    But I destroyed them all with the authority of the LORD.
  • You pushed me violently, that I might fall,
    But the Lord helped me.
  • My enemies did their best to kill me,
    but the LORD rescued me.
  • The Lord is my strength and song,
    And He has become my salvation.
  • The LORD is my strength and my song;
    he has given me victory.
  • The voice of rejoicing and salvation
    Is in the tents of the righteous;
    The right hand of the Lord does valiantly.
  • Songs of joy and victory are sung in the camp of the godly.
    The strong right arm of the LORD has done glorious things!
  • The right hand of the Lord is exalted;
    The right hand of the Lord does valiantly.
  • The strong right arm of the LORD is raised in triumph.
    The strong right arm of the LORD has done glorious things!
  • I shall not die, but live,
    And declare the works of the Lord.
  • I will not die; instead, I will live
    to tell what the LORD has done.
  • The Lord has chastened[b] me severely,
    But He has not given me over to death.
  • The LORD has punished me severely,
    but he did not let me die.
  • Open to me the gates of righteousness;
    I will go through them,
    And I will praise the Lord.
  • Open for me the gates where the righteous enter,
    and I will go in and thank the LORD.
  • This is the gate of the Lord,
    Through which the righteous shall enter.
  • These gates lead to the presence of the LORD,
    and the godly enter there.
  • I will praise You,
    For You have answered me,
    And have become my salvation.
  • I thank you for answering my prayer
    and giving me victory!
  • The stone which the builders rejected
    Has become the chief cornerstone.
  • The stone that the builders rejected
    has now become the cornerstone.
  • [c]This was the Lord’s doing;
    It is marvelous in our eyes.
  • This is the LORD’s doing,
    and it is wonderful to see.
  • This is the day the Lord has made;
    We will rejoice and be glad in it.
  • This is the day the LORD has made.
    We will rejoice and be glad in it.
  • Save now, I pray, O Lord;
    O Lord, I pray, send now prosperity.
  • Please, LORD, please save us.
    Please, LORD, please give us success.
  • Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
    We have blessed you from the house of the Lord.
  • Bless the one who comes in the name of the LORD.
    We bless you from the house of the LORD.
  • God is the Lord,
    And He has given us light;
    Bind the sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar.
  • The LORD is God, shining upon us.
    Take the sacrifice and bind it with cords on the altar.
  • You are my God, and I will praise You;
    You are my God, I will exalt You.
  • You are my God, and I will praise you!
    You are my God, and I will exalt you!
  • Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
    For His mercy endures forever.
  • Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good!
    His faithful love endures forever.
