To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. A Song.

Let God arise,
Let His enemies be scattered;
Let those also who hate Him flee before Him.

As smoke is driven away,
So drive them away;
As wax melts before the fire,
So let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

Спаси мене, Боже, бо во́ди вже аж до душі підійшли́!

3

But let the righteous be glad;
Let them rejoice before God;
Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly.

3

Я загруз у глибокім багні́, і нема на чім стати, ввійшов я до водних глиби́н, — і мене залила́ течія́!

4

Sing to God, sing praises to His name;
Extol[a] Him who rides on the [b]clouds,
By His name [c]Yah,
And rejoice before Him.

Я змучився в крику своїм, ви́сохло го́рло моє, очі мої затума́нились від вигляда́ння надії від Бога мого!

5

A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows,
Is God in His holy habitation.

5

Тих, хто мене без причини нена́видить, стало більш, як воло́сся на моїй голові, набра́лися сили мої вороги, що безви́нно мене переслідують, — чого не грабував, те вертаю!

God sets the solitary in families;
He brings out those who are bound into prosperity;
But the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

Боже, Ти знаєш глупо́ту мою, а гріхі́ мої перед Тобою не схо́вані!

O God, when You went out before Your people,
When You marched through the wilderness, Selah

Неха́й через мене не ма́тимуть сти́ду оті́, хто на Тебе наді́ється, Господи, Господи Саваоте; нехай через мене не матимуть со́рому ті, хто шукає Тебе, Боже Ізраїлів, —

The earth shook;
The heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God;
Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

бо я ради Тебе знева́гу ношу́, га́ньба покрила обличчя моє!

9

You, O God, sent a plentiful rain,
Whereby You confirmed Your inheritance,
When it was weary.

Для братів своїх став я відчу́жений, і чужи́й для синів своєї матері,

10

Your congregation dwelt in it;
You, O God, provided from Your goodness for the poor.

бо ре́вність до дому Твойо́го з'їдає мене, і знева́ги Твоїх зневажа́льників спада́ють на мене,

11

The Lord gave the word;
Great was the [d]company of those who proclaimed it:

і по́стом я ви́плакав душу свою, а це сталось мені на знева́гу.

12

“Kings of armies flee, they flee,
And she who remains at home divides the [e]spoil.

За одежу надів я вере́ту, — і за при́казку став я для них:

13

Though you lie down among the [f]sheepfolds,
You will be like the wings of a dove covered with silver,
And her feathers with yellow gold.”

про мене бала́кають ті, хто в брамі сидить, і пісні тих, хто п'янке́ попива́є.

14

When the Almighty scattered kings in it,
It was white as snow in Zalmon.

А я — молитва моя до Тебе, Господи, в часі Твоєї зичли́вости; в многоті́ милосердя Твойо́го подай мені відповідь про певність спасі́ння Твого,

15

A mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan;
A mountain of many peaks is the mountain of Bashan.

визволь з болота мене, щоб я не втопи́вся, щоб я урято́ваний був від своїх ненави́сників та від глибо́кости вод!

16

Why do you [g]fume with envy, you mountains of many peaks?
This is the mountain which God desires to dwell in;
Yes, the Lord will dwell in it forever.

16

Хай мене не заллє́ водяна́ течія́, і хай глибі́нь мене не проковтне́, і нехай своїх уст не замкне́ надо мною безо́дня!

17

The chariots of God are twenty thousand,
Even thousands of thousands;
The Lord is among them as in Sinai, in the Holy Place.

Обізви́ся до мене, о Господи, в міру доброї ласки Своєї, в міру вели́кости Свого милосердя зверни́ся до мене,

18

You have ascended on high,
You have led captivity captive;
You have received gifts among men,
Even from the rebellious,
That the Lord God might dwell there.

18

і обличчя Свого не ховай від Свого раба, бо ті́сно мені, — озви́ся ж неба́ром до мене,

19

Blessed be the Lord,
Who daily loads us with benefits,
The God of our salvation! Selah

19

наблизи́сь до моєї душі, порятуй же її, ради моїх ворогів відкупи́ Ти мене!

20

Our God is the God of salvation;
And to God the Lord belong escapes from death.

20

Ти знаєш нару́гу мою, і мій сором та га́ньбу мою, — перед Тобою всі мої вороги!

21

But God will wound the head of His enemies,
The hairy scalp of the one who still goes on in his trespasses.

21

Моє серце злама́ла нару́га, і невиго́йний мій сором: я чекав співчуття́ — та немає його, і потіши́телів — та не знайшов!

22

The Lord said, “I will bring back from Bashan,
I will bring them back from the depths of the sea,

22

І жо́вчі покла́ли у мій хліб поті́шення, а в спра́зі моїй оцтом мене напува́ли.

23

That [h]your foot may crush them in blood,
And the tongues of your dogs may have their portion from your enemies.”

23

Бодай па́сткою стала їм їхня трапе́за, а їхні у́чти — тене́тами,

24

They have seen Your [i]procession, O God,
The procession of my God, my King, into the sanctuary.

24

бодай їхні очі поте́мніли, щоб їм не бачити, а їхні клу́би хай за́вжди хитаються!

25

The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after;
Among them were the maidens playing timbrels.

25

Вилий на них Свою ре́вність, а по́лум'я гніву Твого нехай їх доганяє!

26

Bless God in the congregations,
The Lord, from the fountain of Israel.

26

Нехай їхнє село́ опусто́шене буде, хай ме́шканця в їхніх наме́тах не буде!

27

There is little Benjamin, their leader,
The princes of Judah and their [j]company,
The princes of Zebulun and the princes of Naphtali.

27

Бо кого Ти був збив, — вони ще́ переслідують, і побі́льшують му́ки ране́ним Тобою.

28

[k]Your God has commanded your strength;
Strengthen, O God, what You have done for us.

28

Додай же гріха на їхній гріх, щоб вони не ввійшли в справедливість Твою,

29

Because of Your temple at Jerusalem,
Kings will bring presents to You.

29

нехай скре́слені будуть із книги життя, і хай не будуть запи́сані з праведними!

30

Rebuke the beasts of the reeds,
The herd of bulls with the calves of the peoples,
Till everyone submits himself with pieces of silver.
Scatter the peoples who delight in war.

30

А я бідний та хворий, але, Боже, — спасі́ння Твоє мене чинить могу́тнім,

31

Envoys will come out of Egypt;
Ethiopia will quickly stretch out her hands to God.

31

і я піснею буду хвалити Ім'я́ Боже, співом вдя́чним Його велича́тиму!

32

Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth;
Oh, sing praises to the Lord, Selah

32

І буде для Господа краща вона від вола́, від бика, що ро́ги він має, що копи́та роздво́єні має.

33

To Him who rides on the heaven of heavens, which were of old!
Indeed, He sends out His voice, a mighty voice.

33

Побачать слухня́ні, — і бу́дуть раді́ти, хто ж Бога шукає — нехай оживе́ ваше серце,

34

Ascribe strength to God;
His excellence is over Israel,
And His strength is in the clouds.

34

бо до вбогих Госпо́дь прислуха́ється, і в'язня́ми Своїми не гордує Він!

35

O God, You are more awesome than Your holy places.
The God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to His people.
Blessed be God!

Нехай хвалять Його небеса́ та земля, море й усе, що́ в них ру́хається,
