The Consoling Memory of God’s Redemptive Works

To the Chief Musician. To Jeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph.

I cried out to God with my voice —
To God with my voice;
And He gave ear to me.

Маскиль Асафа Послушайте моё ученье, люди, прислушайтесь к моим словам.

In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord;
My hand was stretched out in the night without ceasing;
My soul refused to be comforted.

Мои уста поведают вам притчу, историю давно минувших лет.

I remembered God, and was troubled;
I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah

Я расскажу, что знаю со слов отцов.

You hold my eyelids open;
I am so troubled that I cannot speak.

Не станем от своих детей скрывать, расскажем следующим поколениям о всех делах Господних, и Его могуществе, и сотворённом чуде.

I have considered the days of old,
The years of ancient times.

Он для Иакова установил закон, закон для Израиля, который завещал, чтоб наши предки передавали всем потомкам.

I call to remembrance my song in the night;
I meditate within my heart,
And my spirit [a]makes diligent search.

Чтоб знало следующее поколение закон, и нерожденные ещё, когда придет их час, своим расскажут детям, и чтобы было так из рода в род.

Will the Lord cast off forever?
And will He be favorable no more?

Тогда продлится в людях вера в Бога, и не забудутся Его дела, и все Его заветам подчинятся.

Has His mercy ceased forever?
Has His promise failed [b]forevermore?

Они не будут, как их предки были, упрямым, непослушным поколеньем, сердца которого не с Богом были, и души Богу не были верны.

Has God forgotten to be gracious?
Has He in anger shut up His tender mercies? Selah

Ефремовы сыны бежали с поля боя, во всеоружьи, с луками бежали.

And I said, “This is my [c]anguish;
But I will remember the years of the right hand of the Most High.”

Они заветов Божьих не исполнили, жить не хотели по Его законам.

I will remember the works of the Lord;
Surely I will remember Your wonders of old.

Они забыли о Его делах, о чудесах, которые явил Он.

I will also meditate on all Your work,
And talk of Your deeds.

В египетской земле Цоан Бог показал им чудеса.

Your way, O God, is in [d]the sanctuary;
Who is so great a God as our God?

You are the God who does wonders;
You have declared Your strength among the peoples.

You have with Your arm redeemed Your people,
The sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah

Господь в пустыне камень расколол и дал им воду, как из моря, в изобильи,

The waters saw You, O God;
The waters saw You, they were afraid;
The depths also trembled.

заставил воду течь из скал, реке подобно.

The clouds poured out water;
The skies sent out a sound;
Your arrows also flashed about.

Но люди продолжали и в пустыне грешить противу Бога своего,

18

The voice of Your thunder was in the whirlwind;
The lightnings lit up the world;
The earth trembled and shook.

и, Божью силу проверяя, испрашивали пищу по душе.

Your way was in the sea,
Your path in the great waters,
And Your footsteps were not known.

Они на Бога жаловаться смели: "Накрыть в пустыне стол способен Бог?

You led Your people like a flock
By the hand of Moses and Aaron.

Когда рассёк Он камень — в изобилье была вода для всех, но сможет ли в пустыне Бог мясом накормить народ Свой?"
