New King James Version

New Living Translation

  • Praise to the Lord for His Love and Faithfulness

    A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath day.

    It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
    And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
  • A psalm. A song to be sung on the Sabbath Day.

    It is good to give thanks to the LORD,
    to sing praises to the Most High.
  • To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning,
    And Your faithfulness every night,
  • It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning,
    your faithfulness in the evening,
  • On an instrument of ten strings,
    On the lute,
    And on the harp,
    With harmonious sound.
  • accompanied by a ten-stringed instrument, a harp,
    and the melody of a lyre.
  • For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work;
    I will triumph in the works of Your hands.
  • You thrill me, LORD, with all you have done for me!
    I sing for joy because of what you have done.
  • O Lord, how great are Your works!
    Your thoughts are very deep.
  • O LORD, what great works you do!
    And how deep are your thoughts.
  • A senseless man does not know,
    Nor does a fool understand this.
  • Only a simpleton would not know,
    and only a fool would not understand this:
  • When the wicked [a]spring up like grass,
    And when all the workers of iniquity flourish,
    It is that they may be destroyed forever.
  • Though the wicked sprout like weeds
    and evildoers flourish,
    they will be destroyed forever.
  • But You, Lord, are on high forevermore.
  • But you, O LORD, will be exalted forever.
  • For behold, Your enemies, O Lord,
    For behold, Your enemies shall perish;
    All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
  • Your enemies, LORD, will surely perish;
    all evildoers will be scattered.
  • But my [b]horn You have exalted like a wild ox;
    I have been anointed with fresh oil.
  • But you have made me as strong as a wild ox.
    You have anointed me with the finest oil.
  • My eye also has seen my desire on my enemies;
    My ears hear my desire on the wicked
    Who rise up against me.
  • My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies;
    my ears have heard the defeat of my wicked opponents.
  • The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree,
    He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
  • But the godly will flourish like palm trees
    and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon.
  • Those who are planted in the house of the Lord
    Shall flourish in the courts of our God.
  • For they are transplanted to the LORD’s own house.
    They flourish in the courts of our God.
  • They shall still bear fruit in old age;
    They shall be [c]fresh and [d]flourishing,
  • Even in old age they will still produce fruit;
    they will remain vital and green.
  • To declare that the Lord is upright;
    He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
  • They will declare, “The LORD is just!
    He is my rock!
    There is no evil in him!”
