God Redeems Jerusalem

Awake, awake!
Put on your strength, O Zion;
Put on your beautiful garments,
O Jerusalem, the holy city!
For the uncircumcised and the unclean
Shall no longer come to you.

1

Піднімися, піднімися, Сіоне, зодягнися своєю силою, Сіоне, і зодягнися у свою славу, Єрусалиме, святе місто! Більше вже не проходитиме через тебе необрізаний і нечистий.

2

Shake yourself from the dust, arise;
Sit down, O Jerusalem!
Loose yourself from the bonds of your neck,
O captive daughter of Zion!

Обтруси порох і встань! Зупинись, Єрусалиме! Скинь ланцюг зі своєї шиї, полонена дочко Сіону!

3

For thus says the Lord:
“You have sold yourselves for nothing,
And you shall be redeemed without money.”

Бо так говорить Господь: Даром ви були продані, і не за срібло ви були викуплені!

4

For thus says the Lord God:
“My people went down at first
Into Egypt to [a]dwell there;
Then the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.

Так говорить Господь: Мій народ спершу здійснив перехід до Єгипту, щоб там поселитися; згодом вони силою були відведені до Ассирії.

Now therefore, what have I here,” says the Lord,
“That My people are taken away for nothing?
Those who rule over them
[b]Make them wail,” says the Lord,
“And My name is blasphemed continually every day.

А тепер, чому ви тут? Так говорить Господь: Тому що даром забрано Мій народ, дивуйтеся і кричіть! Так говорить Господь: Через вас постійно хулиться Моє Ім’я між народами.

Therefore My people shall know My name;
Therefore they shall know in that day
That I am He who speaks:
‘Behold, it is I.’ ”

Через це Мій народ у той день пізнає Моє Ім’я, бо Я Сам є Той, Хто говорить. Я присутній,

How beautiful upon the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things,
Who proclaims salvation,
Who says to Zion,
“Your God reigns!”

як весняна пора в горах, як ноги того, хто звіщає вістку миру, як той, хто звіщає добро, бо відомим зроблю твоє спасіння, кажучи Сіону: Царюватиме твій Бог!

8

Your watchmen shall lift up their voices,
With their voices they shall sing together;
For they shall see eye to eye
When the Lord brings back Zion.

Адже піднявся голос тих, які тебе стережуть, і разом зрадіють голосом, бо віч-на-віч побачать, коли Господь змилується над Сіоном.

9

Break forth into joy, sing together,
You waste places of Jerusalem!
For the Lord has comforted His people,
He has redeemed Jerusalem.

Хай видадуть веселість разом спустошені місця Єрусалима, бо Господь помилував його і визволив Єрусалим.

10

The Lord has [c]made bare His holy arm
In the eyes of all the nations;
And all the ends of the earth shall see
The salvation of our God.

10

І Господь покаже Свою святу могутню руку перед усіма народами, і всі кінці землі побачать спасіння від Бога.

11

Depart! Depart! Go out from there,
Touch no unclean thing;
Go out from the midst of her,
Be clean,
You who bear the vessels of the Lord.

Відійдіть, відійдіть, вийдіть звідти й не доторкайтеся до нечистого! Вийдіть з-посеред нього, відділіться, ті, які носять Господній посуд.

12

For you shall not go out with haste,
Nor go by flight;
For the Lord will go before you,
And the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

Адже ви не вийдете із замішанням і не втікатимете, бо перед вами піде Господь, і Господь, Бог Ізраїля, Той, Хто вас збирає!

The Sin-Bearing Servant

Behold, My Servant shall [d]deal prudently;
He shall be exalted and [e]extolled and be very high.

Ось зрозуміє Мій слуга і звеличиться, і дуже прославиться.

14

Just as many were astonished at you,
So His visage[f] was marred more than any man,
And His form more than the sons of men;

Так як численні будуть у подиві через тебе, так знеславиться перед людьми твій вигляд і твоя слава перед людьми,

15

So shall He [g]sprinkle many nations.
Kings shall shut their mouths at Him;
For what had not been told them they shall see,
And what they had not heard they shall consider.

15

так ним дивуватимуться численні народи, і царі закриють свої уста. Адже ті, кому не сповістили про нього, побачать, і ті, які не чули, зрозуміють.
