An Invitation to Abundant Life

“Ho! Everyone who thirsts,
Come to the waters;
And you who have no money,
Come, buy and eat.
Yes, come, buy wine and milk
Without money and without price.

О, всі спра́гнені, — йдіть до води́, а ви, що не маєте срі́бла, — ідіть, купіть жи́вности — й їжте! І йдіть, без срібла́ купіть жи́вности, і без платні́ вина й молока!

2

Why do you [a]spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And let your soul delight itself in abundance.

На́що будете ва́жити срі́бло за те, що не хліб, і працю вашу за те, що не си́тить? Послухайте пильно Мене, й спожива́йте добро́, — і нехай розкошу́є у на́ситі ваша душа!

3

Incline your ear, and come to Me.
Hear, and your soul shall live;
And I will make an everlasting covenant with you —
The sure mercies of David.

Нахиліть своє ву́хо, й до Мене прийді́ть, послухайте, й жи́тиме ваша душа! І Я з вами складу́ заповіта навіки на незмінні Давидові милості.

Indeed I have given him as a witness to the people,
A leader and commander for the people.

Отож, Його дав Я за свідка наро́дам, за проводиря́ та влади́ку наро́дам.

5

Surely you shall call a nation you do not know,
And nations who do not know you shall run to you,
Because of the Lord your God,
And the Holy One of Israel;
For He has glorified you.”

Тож покличеш наро́д, що не знаєш його, і той люд, що не знає тебе, і вони поспіша́ться до тебе, ради Господа, Бога твого́, і ради Святого Ізраїлевого, що просла́вив тебе.

Seek the Lord while He may be found,
Call upon Him while He is near.

Шукайте Господа, доки можна знайти Його, кличте Його, як Він близько!

7

Let the [b]wicked forsake his way,
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Let him return to the Lord,
And He will have mercy on him;
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.

Хай безбожний покине дорогу свою, а круті́й — свої за́думи, і хай до Господа зве́рнеться, — і його Він помилує, і до нашого Бога, бо Він пробачає багато!

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.

Бо ваші думки́ — не Мої це думки́, а доро́ги Мої — то не ваші доро́ги, говорить Господь.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.

Бо наскільки небо вище за землю, настільки вищі доро́ги Мої за ваші доро́ги, а думки́ Мої — за ваші думки́.

“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
And do not return there,
But water the earth,
And make it bring forth and bud,
That it may give seed to the sower
And bread to the eater,

Бо як дощ чи то сніг сходить з неба й туди не верта́ється, аж поки землі не напо́їть і родю́чою вчинить її, і насіння дає сіваче́ві, а хліб їдуно́ві, —

11

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me [c]void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

так буде і Слово Моє, що вихо́дить із уст Моїх: порожнім до Мене воно не верта́ється, але зробить, що Я пожада́в, і буде мати пово́дження в то́му, на що Я його посилав!

“For you shall go out with joy,
And be led out with peace;
The mountains and the hills
Shall break forth into singing before you,
And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Бо з радістю ви́йдете ви, і з ми́ром прова́джені будете. Гори й холми́ будуть тішитися перед вами співа́нням, і всі польові́ дерева́ будуть пле́скати в доло́ні.

13

Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree,
And instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree;
And it shall be to the Lord for a name,
For an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.”

На місце терни́ни зросте́ кипари́с, а замість кропи́ви — поя́виться мирт. І стане усе Господе́ві на славу, на вічну ознаку, яка не пони́щиться!
