Gog and Allies Attack Israel
Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

Das Wort des HERRN erging an mich:
Menschensohn, richte dein Gesicht auf Gog im Land Magog, auf den Großfürsten von Meschech und Tubal, tritt als Prophet gegen ihn auf
and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal.
und sag: So spricht GOTT, der Herr: Siehe, ich will gegen dich vorgehen, Gog, du Großfürst von Meschech und Tubal.
I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords.
Ich führe dich und lege dir Haken an deine Kinnbacken und führe dich und deine ganze Streitmacht heraus: Pferde und Reiter, alle prächtig gekleidet, ein großes Heer, mit Langschild und Rundschild. Sie alle haben das Schwert in der Hand.
Paras, Kusch und Put sind dabei, sie alle mit Schild und Helm,
Gomer and all its troops; the house of Togarmah from the far north and all its troops — many people are with you.
Gomer und all seine Truppen, Bet-Togarma, der äußerste Norden und all seine Truppen. Viele Völker sind mit dir.
“Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you; and be a guard for them.
Rüste dich, halte dich bereit, du und dein ganzes Heer, das bei dir versammelt ist; sei mit ihnen auf dem Posten!
After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely.
Nach langer Zeit wirst du deinen Auftrag erhalten. Am Ende der Jahre wirst du in ein Land kommen, das dem Schwert wieder entrissen ist und aus vielen Völkern auf den Bergen Israels zusammengeführt wurde, die lange verödet waren. Aus den Völkern wurde es herausgeführt und sie alle wohnen in Sicherheit.
You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many peoples with you.”
Du ziehst herauf, wie ein Unwetter kommst du; wie eine Wolke bist du, um das ganze Land zu bedecken — du und all deine Truppen und viele Völker mit dir.
‘Thus says the Lord God: “On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan:
So spricht GOTT, der Herr: An jenem Tag geschieht es, dass Gedanken in deinem Herzen aufsteigen und du einen bösen Plan ersinnst.
Du sagst: Ich will gegen das ungeschützte Land hinaufziehen, will über die friedlichen Menschen kommen, die dort in Sicherheit wohnen — sie alle wohnen ja ohne Mauern und sie haben keine Riegel und Tore — ,
to take plunder and to take booty, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land.
um Beute zu machen und zu plündern, um deine Hand gegen diese bewohnten Trümmer und das Volk zu wenden, das aus den Nationen zusammengeführt wurde, das sich wieder Herden und Besitz erworben hat und jetzt auf dem Nabel der Erde wohnt.
Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish, and all their young lions will say to you, ‘Have you come to take plunder? Have you gathered your army to take booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take great plunder?’ ” ’
Dann werden dich Saba und Dedan und die Kaufleute von Tarschisch und all seine Löwen fragen: Kommst du, um Beute zu machen? Hast du deine Heere versammelt, um zu plündern, um Silber und Gold wegzuschleppen, Herden und Besitz wegzunehmen und große Beute zu machen?
“Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “On that day when My people Israel dwell safely, will you not know it?
Darum tritt als Prophet auf, Menschensohn, und sag zu Gog: So spricht GOTT, der Herr: Ist es nicht so? An jenem Tag, wenn mein Volk Israel in Sicherheit wohnt, wirst du es erkennen.
Then you will come from your place out of the far north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great company and a mighty army.
Dann kommst du von deinem Ort heran, aus dem äußersten Norden, du und viele Völker mit dir, alle zu Pferd, ein großes Heer, eine gewaltige Streitmacht.
You will come up against My people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land. It will be in the latter days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me, when I am hallowed in you, O Gog, before their eyes.”
Du ziehst gegen mein Volk Israel heran wie eine Wolke, um das Land zu bedecken. Am Ende der Tage wird es geschehen: Ich lasse dich über mein Land kommen, damit die Nationen mich erkennen, wenn ich mich vor ihren Augen an dir, Gog, als heilig erweise.
Thus says the Lord God: “Are you he of whom I have spoken in former days by My servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied for years in those days that I would bring you against them?
So spricht GOTT, der Herr: Bist du der, von dem ich in früherer Zeit durch meine Knechte gesprochen habe, durch die Propheten Israels? Sie weissagten in jenen Tagen und Jahren, dass ich dich über sie kommen lassen werde.
Judgment on Gog
“And it will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” says the Lord God, “that My fury will show in My face.
“And it will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” says the Lord God, “that My fury will show in My face.
Und an jenem Tag wird es geschehen, am Tag, da Gog über das Land Israel kommt — Spruch GOTTES, des Herrn — , da wird mein grimmiger Zorn aufsteigen.
In meinem leidenschaftlichen Eifer, im Feuer meiner Wut, spreche ich: Fürwahr! An jenem Tag wird es im Land Israel ein gewaltiges Erdbeben geben.
so that the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all creeping things that creep on the earth, and all men who are on the face of the earth shall shake at My presence. The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.’
Dann erbeben vor mir die Fische im Meer und der Vogel am Himmel, das Wild auf dem Feld und alles Kriechtier, das auf dem Erdboden kriecht, und jeder Mensch auf dem Erdboden. Es bersten die Berge, die Felswände stürzen ein und jede Mauer stürzt zu Boden.
I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains,” says the Lord God. “Every man’s sword will be against his brother.
Dann rufe ich für alle meine Berge das Schwert herbei — gegen ihn — Spruch GOTTES, des Herrn. Da wird sich das Schwert des einen gegen den andern wenden.
And I will bring him to judgment with pestilence and bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
Ich richte ihn durch Pest und Blut; ich lasse Wolkenbruch und Hagelschlag, Feuer und Schwefel herabregnen über ihn und seine Truppen und über die vielen Völker, die bei ihm sind.
Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.” ’
So werde ich mich als groß und heilig erweisen und mich vor den Augen vieler Nationen zu erkennen geben. Dann werden sie erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin.
