The Manner of Worship
‘Thus says the Lord God: “The gateway of the inner court that faces toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the Sabbath it shall be opened, and on the day of the New Moon it shall be opened.

»Ich, Gott, der HERR, sage: Das Tor, das von Osten her in den inneren Vorhof führt, muss an den sechs Werktagen verschlossen bleiben. Nur am Sabbat und am Neumondtag darf es geöffnet werden.
The prince shall enter by way of the vestibule of the gateway from the outside, and stand by the gatepost. The priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings. He shall worship at the threshold of the gate. Then he shall go out, but the gate shall not be shut until evening.
Dann soll der Herrscher vom äußeren Vorhof her das Torgebäude durch die Vorhalle betreten. Beim Türrahmen am Ausgang des Tores bleibt er stehen, um von dort aus zuzusehen, wie die Priester sein Brandopfer und sein Friedensopfer darbringen. Er wirft sich an der Schwelle des Tores vor mir nieder und betet mich an. Anschließend verlässt er das Torgebäude wieder. Bis zum Abend soll es nicht verschlossen werden.
Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the entrance to this gateway before the Lord on the Sabbaths and the New Moons.
Auch der Rest des Volkes soll mich am Sabbat und am Neumondtag anbeten und sich im äußeren Vorhof am Eingang des Osttors vor mir niederwerfen.
The burnt offering that the prince offers to the Lord on the Sabbath day shall be six lambs without blemish, and a ram without blemish;
Für das Brandopfer am Sabbat, das der Herrscher mir darbringt, nimmt er sechs Lämmer und einen Schafbock, allesamt fehlerlose Tiere.
Als Speiseopfer gehören zusätzlich zu dem Schafbock 12 Kilogramm Mehl und 4 Liter Öl. Bei den Lämmern kann der Herrscher so viel Mehl nehmen, wie er möchte, doch muss er noch Öl im selben Verhältnis wie beim Schafbock dazugeben.
On the day of the New Moon it shall be a young bull without blemish, six lambs, and a ram; they shall be without blemish.
Am Neumondtag soll er einen jungen Stier, sechs Lämmer und einen Schafbock für mich verbrennen lassen. Alle Tiere müssen ohne jeden Fehler sein.
Zusätzlich zu dem jungen Stier und dem Schafbock soll er mir als Speiseopfer jeweils 12 Kilogramm Mehl und 4 Liter Öl darbringen. Bei den Lämmern kann er selbst bestimmen, wie viel Mehl er dazugibt, begleitet von der entsprechenden Menge an Öl.

Der Herrscher soll das Torgebäude durch die Vorhalle betreten und es auf demselben Weg wieder verlassen.
“But when the people of the land come before the Lord on the appointed feast days, whoever enters by way of the north gate to worship shall go out by way of the south gate; and whoever enters by way of the south gate shall go out by way of the north gate. He shall not return by way of the gate through which he came, but shall go out through the opposite gate.
An den Festtagen sollen auch die Leute aus dem Volk in den äußeren Tempelvorhof kommen, um mich, den HERRN, anzubeten. Niemand darf durch das Tor wieder hinausgehen, durch das er gekommen ist. Alle müssen durch das gegenüberliegende Tor den Vorhof verlassen. Wer durchs Nordtor hineinkam, muss durchs Südtor wieder hinaus; und wer durchs Südtor den Vorhof betrat, soll ihn durchs Nordtor verlassen.
The prince shall then be in their midst. When they go in, he shall go in; and when they go out, he shall go out.
Der Herrscher muss gemeinsam mit den Israeliten in den äußeren Vorhof kommen und auch zusammen mit ihnen wieder hinausgehen.
At the festivals and the appointed feast days the grain offering shall be an ephah for a bull, an ephah for a ram, as much as he wants to give for the lambs, and a hin of oil with every ephah.
An den Festtagen und während der großen Feste des Jahres sollen zusätzlich zu dem Stier und dem Schafbock je 12 Kilogramm Mehl und 4 Liter Öl als Speiseopfer dargebracht werden. Bei den Lämmern kann der Herrscher beliebig viel Mehl geben, wozu wieder 1 Liter Öl auf 3 Kilogramm Mehl kommt.
“Now when the prince makes a voluntary burnt offering or voluntary peace offering to the Lord, the gate that faces toward the east shall then be opened for him; and he shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings as he did on the Sabbath day. Then he shall go out, and after he goes out the gate shall be shut.
Wenn er mir ein freiwilliges Opfer darbringen will — sei es ein Brand- oder ein Friedensopfer —, dann soll das Osttor zum inneren Vorhof für ihn geöffnet werden. Er kann in das Torgebäude hineingehen und die Opfer dann auf dieselbe Art und Weise darbringen lassen wie am Sabbat. Anschließend muss er das Torgebäude wieder verlassen, und man soll es hinter ihm verschließen.
Jeden Morgen soll ein Lamm für mich verbrannt werden, das ein Jahr alt ist und keinerlei Fehler hat.
And you shall prepare a grain offering with it every morning, a sixth of an ephah, and a third of a hin of oil to moisten the fine flour. This grain offering is a perpetual ordinance, to be made regularly to the Lord.
Dazu kommt ein Speiseopfer, bestehend aus 2 Kilogramm feinem Weizenmehl und gut 1 Liter Öl, das auf das Mehl gegossen wird. Diese Ordnung gilt für alle Zeiten.
Thus they shall prepare the lamb, the grain offering, and the oil, as a regular burnt offering every morning.”
Jeden Morgen, Tag für Tag, sollen das Lamm, das Mehl und das Öl als ein regelmäßiges Brandopfer für mich, den HERRN, dargebracht werden.«
The Prince and Inheritance Laws

»Ich, Gott, der HERR, sage: Wenn der Herrscher Israels einem seiner Söhne ein Stück Land von seinem Grund und Boden überlässt, dann ist es von da an dessen Erbbesitz.
But if he gives a gift of some of his inheritance to one of his servants, it shall be his until the year of liberty, after which it shall return to the prince. But his inheritance shall belong to his sons; it shall become theirs.
Gibt er aber einem seiner Untergebenen ein Stück Land, gehört es diesem nur bis zum nächsten Erlassjahr. Dann fällt es wieder an den Herrscher zurück. Nur die Söhne des Herrschers dürfen für immer behalten, was er ihnen gegeben hat. So bleibt der Grundbesitz in der Familie.
Moreover the prince shall not take any of the people’s inheritance by evicting them from their property; he shall provide an inheritance for his sons from his own property, so that none of My people may be scattered from his property.” ’ ”
Der Herrscher darf aber kein Land für sich beanspruchen, das den Israeliten gehört. Nur was er selbst besitzt, darf er seinen Söhnen vererben. Denn mein Volk soll nicht von seinem Grund und Boden vertrieben und in alle Winde zerstreut werden.«
How the Offerings Were Prepared

Der Mann, der mich geführt hatte, brachte mich nun zu dem Gang, der seitlich vom Nordtor des inneren Vorhofs begann. Wir gingen westwärts und kamen in das nördlich gelegene Gebäude mit den heiligen Priesterräumen. Ganz hinten, an der Außenmauer des Tempelbezirks, gab es einen besonderen Raum.
And he said to me, “This is the place where the priests shall boil the trespass offering and the sin offering, and where they shall bake the grain offering, so that they do not bring them out into the outer court to sanctify the people.”
Der Mann sagte zu mir: »Hier kochen die Priester das Fleisch, das sie als Anteil am Sünd- und Schuldopfer bekommen. Hier backen sie auch Brot für sich aus dem Mehl für das Speiseopfer. Auf diese Weise braucht nichts, was für die Opfer bestimmt war, in den äußeren Vorhof hinausgebracht zu werden. Denn das Volk soll nicht mit den heiligen Opfergaben in Berührung kommen.«

Danach ging der Mann wieder mit mir in den äußeren Vorhof und führte mich nacheinander zu den vier Ecken der äußeren Tempelmauer. Ich bemerkte, dass es in jeder Ecke einen abgegrenzten Bereich gab,
In the four corners of the court were enclosed courts, forty cubits long and thirty wide; all four corners were the same size.
der 20 Meter lang und 15 Meter breit war. Alle vier Bereiche hatten genau die gleichen Maße.
Die Abgrenzung bestand aus einer Steinmauer, an deren Innenseite sich unten rundherum Feuerstellen befanden.
