Siehe, ich, Paulus, sage euch: Wenn ihr euch beschneiden lasst, wird Christus euch nichts nützen.
Ich bezeuge wiederum jedem Menschen, der sich beschneiden lässt: Er ist verpflichtet, das ganze Gesetz zu halten.
You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
Ihr, die ihr durch das Gesetz gerecht werden wollt, seid von Christus getrennt; ihr seid aus der Gnade herausgefallen.
For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

Love Fulfills the Law

Was man auch gesagt hat, um euch zu überreden: Es kommt nicht von dem, der euch beruft.
I have confidence in you, in the Lord, that you will have no other mind; but he who troubles you shall bear his judgment, whoever he is.
Ich vertraue auf euch im Herrn, dass ihr nicht anders denken werdet. Wer euch verwirrt, wird das Urteil zu tragen haben, wer es auch sei.
And I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why do I still suffer persecution? Then the offense of the cross has ceased.
Ich aber, Brüder und Schwestern, wenn ich noch die Beschneidung verkündete — warum werde ich dann verfolgt? Damit wäre ja das Ärgernis des Kreuzes beseitigt.
Diese Leute, die Unruhe bei euch stiften, sollen sich doch gleich entmannen lassen.
For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
Denn ihr seid zur Freiheit berufen, Brüder und Schwestern. Nur nehmt die Freiheit nicht zum Vorwand für das Fleisch, sondern dient einander in Liebe!

Denn das ganze Gesetz ist in dem einen Wort erfüllt: Du sollst deinen Nächsten lieben wie dich selbst!

Wenn ihr aber einander beißt und fresst, dann gebt Acht, dass ihr nicht einer vom anderen verschlungen werdet!
Walking in the Spirit
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Ich sage aber: Wandelt im Geist, dann werdet ihr das Begehren des Fleisches nicht erfüllen!
For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.
Denn das Fleisch begehrt gegen den Geist, der Geist gegen das Fleisch, denn diese sind einander entgegengesetzt, damit ihr nicht tut, was ihr wollt.
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
Wenn ihr euch aber vom Geist führen lasst, dann steht ihr nicht unter dem Gesetz.
Die Werke des Fleisches sind deutlich erkennbar: Unzucht, Unreinheit, Ausschweifung,
idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,
Götzendienst, Zauberei, Feindschaften, Streit, Eifersucht, Jähzorn, Eigennutz, Spaltungen, Parteiungen,
Neid, maßloses Trinken und Essen und Ähnliches mehr. Ich sage euch voraus, wie ich es früher vorausgesagt habe: Wer so etwas tut, wird das Reich Gottes nicht erben.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Die Frucht des Geistes aber ist Liebe, Freude, Friede, Langmut, Freundlichkeit, Güte, Treue,
Sanftmut und Enthaltsamkeit; gegen all das ist das Gesetz nicht.
And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Die zu Christus Jesus gehören, haben das Fleisch und damit ihre Leidenschaften und Begierden gekreuzigt.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Wenn wir im Geist leben, lasst uns auch im Geist wandeln!
