“I’m in a desperate situation!” David replied to Gad. “But let me fall into the hands of the LORD, for his mercy is very great. Do not let me fall into human hands.”

And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let me fall now into the hand of the LORD; for very great are his mercies: but let me not fall into the hand of man.

And David said to Gad, “I am in great distress. Please let me fall into the hand of the Lord, for His mercies are very great; but do not let me fall into the hand of man.”

И сказал Давид Гаду: тяжело мне очень, но пусть лучше впаду в руки Господа, ибо весьма велико милосердие Его, только бы не впасть мне в руки человеческие.

Тоді Давид промовив до Гада: “Дуже мені скрутно, але ліпше мені впасти в руки Господні, велике бо над міру його милосердя, аніж потрапити в людські руки.”

І сказав Давид до Ґада: „Тяжко мені дуже! Нехай же впаду́ я в руку Господа, бо дуже велике Його милосе́рдя, а в руку лю́дську нехай я не впаду́!“

Давид сказал Гаду:
— Мне очень тяжело, но пусть лучше я попаду в руки Господа, ведь Его милость очень велика, но не дай мне попасть в человеческие руки. -
І сказав Давид Ґадові: Надто складні для мене всі три. Тож упаду в руки Господа, бо Його милосердя дуже велике, тільки б я не попав у руки людей!
