New Living Translation

New King James Version

  • A song for pilgrims ascending to Jerusalem.

    From the depths of despair, O LORD,
    I call for your help.
  • Waiting for the Redemption of the Lord

    A Song of Ascents.

    Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord;
  • Hear my cry, O Lord.
    Pay attention to my prayer.
  • Lord, hear my voice!
    Let Your ears be attentive
    To the voice of my supplications.
  • LORD, if you kept a record of our sins,
    who, O Lord, could ever survive?
  • If You, Lord, should [a]mark iniquities,
    O Lord, who could stand?
  • But you offer forgiveness,
    that we might learn to fear you.
  • But there is forgiveness with You,
    That You may be feared.
  • I am counting on the LORD;
    yes, I am counting on him.
    I have put my hope in his word.
  • I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
    And in His word I do hope.
  • I long for the Lord
    more than sentries long for the dawn,
    yes, more than sentries long for the dawn.
  • My soul waits for the Lord
    More than those who watch for the morning —
    Yes, more than those who watch for the morning.
  • O Israel, hope in the LORD;
    for with the LORD there is unfailing love.
    His redemption overflows.
  • O Israel, hope in the Lord;
    For with the Lord there is mercy,
    And with Him is abundant redemption.
  • He himself will redeem Israel
    from every kind of sin.
  • And He shall redeem Israel
    From all his iniquities.
