Judgment against False Prophets
Then this message came to me from the LORD:
Then this message came to me from the LORD:
Da empfing ich wieder eine Botschaft vom HERRN. Er sprach zu mir:
“Son of man, prophesy against the false prophets of Israel who are inventing their own prophecies. Say to them, ‘Listen to the word of the LORD.
»Du Mensch, klag alle selbst ernannten Propheten Israels an! Sie sollen meine Worte hören!
This is what the Sovereign LORD says: What sorrow awaits the false prophets who are following their own imaginations and have seen nothing at all!’
Sag ihnen von mir, Gott, dem HERRN: Wehe euch, ihr törichten Propheten, die ihr euren eigenen Eingebungen folgt und von Visionen redet, die ihr gar nicht gesehen habt!
“O people of Israel, these prophets of yours are like jackals digging in the ruins.
Ihr führt euch auf wie Füchse, die in Israels Ruinen herumstreunen!
They have done nothing to repair the breaks in the walls around the nation. They have not helped it to stand firm in battle on the day of the LORD.
Keiner von euch ist in die Bresche gesprungen, keiner baut die Mauer wieder auf, damit mein Volk an dem Tag bestehen kann, an dem ich, der HERR, Gericht halte.
Instead, they have told lies and made false predictions. They say, ‘This message is from the LORD,’ even though the LORD never sent them. And yet they expect him to fulfill their prophecies!
Was ihr als Visionen ausgebt, ist eine Täuschung, und wenn ihr weissagt, lügt ihr! Ihr verkündet: ›So spricht der HERR!‹, obwohl ich euch gar nicht beauftragt habe — und dann erwartet ihr auch noch, dass ich eure Voraussagen eintreffen lasse!
Can your visions be anything but false if you claim, ‘This message is from the LORD,’ when I have not even spoken to you?
Ist es nicht so? Eure Visionen führen die Menschen in die Irre, eure Weissagung ist nichts als Lüge. Denn ihr behauptet, meine Worte zu verkünden, obwohl ich euch gar keine Botschaft mitgeteilt habe.
“Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Because what you say is false and your visions are a lie, I will stand against you, says the Sovereign LORD.
Darum sage ich, Gott, der HERR: Weil ihr leere Worte macht und von trügerischen Visionen erzählt, bekommt ihr es mit mir zu tun. Darauf könnt ihr euch verlassen!
I will raise my fist against all the prophets who see false visions and make lying predictions, and they will be banished from the community of Israel. I will blot their names from Israel’s record books, and they will never again set foot in their own land. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign LORD.
Drohend erhebe ich meine Hand, um euch zu strafen, ihr Lügenpropheten! Ich schließe euch aus meinem Volk aus — in den Verzeichnissen der Israeliten wird man eure Namen nirgendwo finden. Nie mehr könnt ihr in euer Land zurückkehren! Daran sollt ihr erkennen, dass ich Gott, der HERR, bin.
“This will happen because these evil prophets deceive my people by saying, ‘All is peaceful’ when there is no peace at all! It’s as if the people have built a flimsy wall, and these prophets are trying to reinforce it by covering it with whitewash!
Ihr führt mein Volk in die Irre, denn ihr ruft: ›Es ist nur halb so schlimm, es wird alles wieder gut!‹ Nein, nichts wird gut! Mein Volk baut sich eine wackelige Mauer aus losen Steinen, und anschließend übertüncht ihr sie mit weißer Farbe.
Tell these whitewashers that their wall will soon fall down. A heavy rainstorm will undermine it; great hailstones and mighty winds will knock it down.
Ihr Schönfärber! Eure Wand wird einstürzen! Es kommt ein Wolkenbruch, Hagelkörner so groß wie Steine prasseln auf sie herab, und ein schwerer Sturm peitscht dagegen.
And when the wall falls, the people will cry out, ‘What happened to your whitewash?’
Und siehe da — die Wand stürzt ein! Dann verspottet man euch: ›Wo ist nun eure schöne Farbe geblieben?‹
“Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will sweep away your whitewashed wall with a storm of indignation, with a great flood of anger, and with hailstones of fury.
Ich, Gott, der HERR, sage es noch einmal: Mein Zorn über euch ist gewaltig, darum schicke ich Sturm, Regen und Hagel mit zerstörerischer Macht.
I will break down your wall right to its foundation, and when it falls, it will crush you. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
Ich reiße die Wand ein, die ihr so schön angemalt habt, ich lasse sie zu Boden stürzen, ihr Fundament wird bloßgelegt. Und wenn sie einstürzt, werdet ihr unter ihren Trümmern begraben. Dann sollt ihr erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin.
At last my anger against the wall and those who covered it with whitewash will be satisfied. Then I will say to you: ‘The wall and those who whitewashed it are both gone.
So werde ich an der Wand und an euch Schönfärbern meinen Zorn auslassen. Ja, wenn ich mein Werk vollendet habe, sage ich: Die Wand ist weg und mit ihr alle, die sie übermalt haben!
They were lying prophets who claimed peace would come to Jerusalem when there was no peace. I, the Sovereign LORD, have spoken!’
Ihr habt dem Volk von herrlichen Visionen erzählt und Jerusalem Glück und Frieden prophezeit, obwohl sein Untergang nahe ist! Doch damit ist es nun aus und vorbei. Mein Wort gilt!«
Judgment against False Women Prophets
“Now, son of man, speak out against the women who prophesy from their own imaginations.
Weiter sprach Gott zu mir: »Du Mensch, tritt den selbst ernannten Prophetinnen aus deinem Volk entgegen! Klage sie an
This is what the Sovereign LORD says: What sorrow awaits you women who are ensnaring the souls of my people, young and old alike. You tie magic charms on their wrists and furnish them with magic veils. Do you think you can trap others without bringing destruction on yourselves?
und richte ihnen meine Worte aus: Wehe euch, ihr Frauen, die ihr Zauberbänder für die Handgelenke anfertigt und magische Schleier in jeder Größe näht, um Macht zu besitzen über die Menschen! Meint ihr, ihr könnt das Leben der Menschen in meinem Volk aufs Spiel setzen — und selbst mit heiler Haut davonkommen?
You bring shame on me among my people for a few handfuls of barley or a piece of bread. By lying to my people who love to listen to lies, you kill those who should not die, and you promise life to those who should not live.
Mit eurem faulen Zauber raubt ihr mir die Ehre, und das für eine Handvoll Gerste und einen Bissen Brot! Menschen, die nicht sterben sollten, liefert ihr dem Tod aus und verschont solche, die es nicht verdienen, am Leben zu bleiben. Mein Volk hört gerne Lügen, und ihr habt ihnen Lügen aufgetischt.
“This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against all your magic charms, which you use to ensnare my people like birds. I will tear them from your arms, setting my people free like birds set free from a cage.
Darum sage ich, Gott, der HERR: Jetzt mache ich eure Zauberbänder zunichte, mit denen ihr die Menschen wie Vögel fangt! Ich reiße sie von euren Handgelenken und lasse alle frei, die sich darin verfangen haben!
I will tear off the magic veils and save my people from your grasp. They will no longer be your victims. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
Ich zerfetze eure magischen Schleier und rette mein Volk aus eurer Gewalt. Es soll keine leichte Beute mehr für euch sein! Daran sollt ihr erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin.
You have discouraged the righteous with your lies, but I didn’t want them to be sad. And you have encouraged the wicked by promising them life, even though they continue in their sins.
Mit euren Lügenmärchen jagt ihr aufrichtigen Menschen Angst ein, für die ich nichts Böses im Sinn hatte. Die Gottlosen aber ermutigt ihr und verhindert damit, dass sie ihre üblen Machenschaften aufgeben und ihr Leben retten.
Because of all this, you will no longer talk of seeing visions that you never saw, nor will you make predictions. For I will rescue my people from your grasp. Then you will know that I am the LORD.”
Darum bereite ich euren verlogenen Visionen und eurer Wahrsagerei nun ein Ende! Ich will mein Volk aus eurer Gewalt retten. Dann müsst ihr erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin.«
