Then I saw the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him were 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads.

Als Nächstes sah ich das Lamm auf dem Berg Zion stehen, umgeben von 144.000 Menschen. Auf ihrer Stirn stand sein Name und der Name seines Vaters.
And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of mighty ocean waves or the rolling of loud thunder. It was like the sound of many harpists playing together.
Jetzt hörte ich Stimmen vom Himmel — gewaltig wie das Tosen einer mächtigen Brandung und wie heftige Donnerschläge, und doch so harmonisch und schön wie Harfenspiel.
This great choir sang a wonderful new song in front of the throne of God and before the four living beings and the twenty-four elders. No one could learn this song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.
Vor dem Thron Gottes, vor den vier Gestalten und den vierundzwanzig Ältesten sangen sie ein neues Lied. Aber nur die 144.000, die das Lamm durch sein Opfer von der Erde losgekauft hat, können dieses Lied singen.
Sie sind ihrem Herrn treu geblieben und haben sich nicht durch Götzendienst verunreinigt. Sie sind rein und folgen dem Lamm überallhin. Von allen Menschen sind sie es, die freigekauft und ausgewählt wurden, Gott und dem Lamm allein zu gehören.
They have told no lies; they are without blame.
Keine Lüge und kein betrügerisches Wort kommen aus ihrem Mund; sie sind ohne Tadel, und niemand kann ihnen etwas vorwerfen.
The Three Angels
And I saw another angel flying through the sky, carrying the eternal Good News to proclaim to the people who belong to this world — to every nation, tribe, language, and people.
Jetzt sah ich einen Engel hoch am Himmel fliegen. Er hatte die Aufgabe, allen Menschen auf der Erde, allen Stämmen und Völkern, den Menschen aller Sprachen und Nationen eine ewig gültige rettende Botschaft zu verkünden.
“Fear God,” he shouted. “Give glory to him. For the time has come when he will sit as judge. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and all the springs of water.”
Laut rief er: »Fürchtet Gott und gebt ihm die Ehre! Denn jetzt wird er Gericht halten. Betet ihn an, der alles geschaffen hat: den Himmel und die Erde, das Meer und die Wasserquellen.«
Then another angel followed him through the sky, shouting, “Babylon is fallen — that great city is fallen — because she made all the nations of the world drink the wine of her passionate immorality.”
Diesem Engel folgte ein zweiter. Er rief: »Babylon ist gefallen! Ja, sie ist gefallen, die große Stadt! Sie hat alle Völker der Erde betrunken gemacht mit ihrem Wein der Verführung. Die Menschen konnten nicht genug davon bekommen.«
Then a third angel followed them, shouting, “Anyone who worships the beast and his statue or who accepts his mark on the forehead or on the hand
Nun kam ein dritter Engel. Er rief mit lauter Stimme: »Wehe allen, die das Tier aus dem Meer und seine Statue verehren und anbeten, die das Kennzeichen des Tieres an ihrer Stirn oder Hand tragen!
must drink the wine of God’s anger. It has been poured full strength into God’s cup of wrath. And they will be tormented with fire and burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and the Lamb.
Denn sie werden den Kelch, der mit Gottes Zorn gefüllt ist, bis zur bitteren Neige leeren müssen. In Gegenwart der heiligen Engel und vor den Augen des Lammes werden sie in Feuer und Schwefel qualvoll leiden.
The smoke of their torment will rise forever and ever, and they will have no relief day or night, for they have worshiped the beast and his statue and have accepted the mark of his name.”
Dieses Feuer wird niemals verlöschen; immer und ewig steigt sein Rauch auf. Niemals werden die Ruhe finden, die das Tier und seine Statue anbeten und sein Zeichen annehmen.«
This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently, obeying his commands and maintaining their faith in Jesus.
Hier muss sich die Standhaftigkeit aller bewähren, die zu Christus gehören; denn nur die können bestehen, die nach Gottes Geboten leben und dem Glauben an Jesus treu bleiben.
And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this down: Blessed are those who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, they are blessed indeed, for they will rest from their hard work; for their good deeds follow them!”
Dann hörte ich eine Stimme vom Himmel, die mich aufforderte: »Schreib: Es kann sich jeder glücklich schätzen, der von jetzt an im Vertrauen auf den Herrn stirbt!« »Ja«, antwortete der Geist, »sie dürfen von ihrer Arbeit und ihrem Leiden ausruhen. Der Lohn für all ihre Mühe ist ihnen gewiss!«
Danach sah ich eine weiße Wolke. Darauf saß einer, der wie ein Mensch aussah. Er trug eine goldene Krone auf dem Kopf und hielt in der Hand eine scharfe Sichel.
Then another angel came from the Temple and shouted to the one sitting on the cloud, “Swing the sickle, for the time of harvest has come; the crop on earth is ripe.”
Nun kam ein Engel aus dem Tempel und rief ihm zu: »Nimm deine Sichel und fang an zu ernten! Denn die Erntezeit ist gekommen, und die Erde ist reif dafür.«
So the one sitting on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the whole earth was harvested.
Und der auf der Wolke saß, schwang seine Sichel über die Erde, und die Ernte wurde eingebracht.
After that, another angel came from the Temple in heaven, and he also had a sharp sickle.
Ein anderer Engel trat aus dem Tempel im Himmel. Auch er hatte eine scharfe Sichel.
Then another angel, who had power to destroy with fire, came from the altar. He shouted to the angel with the sharp sickle, “Swing your sickle now to gather the clusters of grapes from the vines of the earth, for they are ripe for judgment.”
Dazu kam noch ein Engel vom Altar, der Gewalt über das Feuer hatte. Er rief dem Engel mit der Sichel laut zu: »Nimm deine scharfe Sichel und schneide die Trauben vom Weinstock der Erde; sie sind reif.«
So the angel swung his sickle over the earth and loaded the grapes into the great winepress of God’s wrath.
Da ließ der Engel seine Sichel über die Erde gleiten und erntete die Trauben. Er warf sie in die große Weinpresse des Zornes Gottes.
Draußen vor der Stadt wurde der Saft aus den Trauben gekeltert. Ein riesiger Blutstrom ergoss sich aus der Weinpresse: 300 Kilometer weit und so hoch, dass er den Pferden bis an die Zügel reichte.
