І священики домовилися не брати грошей від народу, і не укріплювати тріщини дому.

І пристали священики на те, щоб не брати більше грошей від народу й щоб не клопотатися більш направою того, що в храмі попсувалось.

І взяв первосьвященник Йодай скриньку, й зробив отвір в накривцї, та й поставив її коло жертівника праворуч, де входили в дом Господень, і вкидали туди сьвященники, що стояли на сторожі в дверях, всї гроші, що приношено в храм Господень. -
І погоди́лися священики не брати срібла від народу, і не направля́ти ушкодження храму.

И взял священник Иодай один ящик, и сделал отверстие сверху его, и поставил его подле жертвенника на правой стороне, где входили в дом Господень. И полагали туда священники, стоящие на страже у порога, всё серебро, приносимое в дом Господень.

But Jehoiada the priest took a chest, and bored a hole in the lid of it, and set it beside the altar, on the right side as one cometh into the house of the LORD: and the priests that kept the door put therein all the money that was brought into the house of the LORD.
