Doch nun steh auf, geh hinaus und sag deinen Leuten einige anerkennende Worte! Denn ich schwöre dir beim HERRN: Wenn du nicht hinausgehst, dann wird bis zur kommenden Nacht keiner mehr bei dir sein und das wird für dich schlimmer sein als alles Unheil, das dir von deiner Jugend an bis jetzt zugestoßen ist.

(So mache dich nun auf und gehe heraus und rede mit deinen Knechten freundlich. Denn ich schwöre dir bei dem HERRN: Wirst du nicht herausgehen, es wird kein Mann bei dir bleiben diese Nacht über. Das wird dir ärger sein denn alles Übel, das über dich gekommen ist von deiner Jugend auf bis hierher.

Du musst dich jetzt zusammennehmen und zu deinen Männern hinausgehen, um sie wieder zu ermutigen. Sonst laufen sie dir alle noch heute Nacht davon. Das schwöre ich dir, so wahr der HERR lebt! Etwas Schlimmeres könnte dir gar nicht passieren. Es wäre schrecklicher als alles, was du bisher erleiden musstest.«

Then the king arose, and sat in the gate. And they told unto all the people, saying, Behold, the king doth sit in the gate. And all the people came before the king: for Israel had fled every man to his tent. -
