Amazja erwiderte dem Gottesmann: Wozu habe ich dann den israelitischen Söldnerscharen hundert Talente gegeben? Der Gottesmann antwortete: Der HERR kann dir viel mehr als diese geben.

Amazja sprach zum Mann Gottes: Was soll man denn tun mit den 100 Zentnern, die ich den Kriegsknechten von Israel gegeben habe? Der Mann Gottes sprach: Der HERR hat noch mehr, das er dir geben kann, denn dies.

Amazja entgegnete: »Und was ist mit den 3,5 Tonnen Silber, die ich den Israeliten bezahlt habe?« Der Prophet antwortete: »Ist der HERR nicht mächtig genug, dir viel mehr als das zu geben?«
