І того ча́су заприсягнув Ісус, говорячи: „Прокля́тий перед Господнім лицем кожен, хто встане й відбуду́є це місто Єрихо́н, — на перворіднім своїм він заложить його, і на наймолодшім своїм поставить брами його́“.

Того часу проголосив Ісус таке прокляття: “Проклятий хай буде перед Господом той, хто зважиться відбудувати це місто. Він заснує його на первородному своєму, а на наймолодшому поставить його браму.”

Того часу вимовив Йозей такий проклін: Будь проклят перед Господом чоловік той, що зважився б сей город Ерихон відбудувати! Роскопуючи грунт на основини його, перворідня сховає, а на послїдньому з дїтей нехай построїть ворота його. -
У той день Ісус поклявся перед Господом, кажучи: Проклята людина, яка відбудує це місто! За свого первородного закладе його основу і за свого найменшого встановить його браму. І так зробив Озан, котрий з Ветилю: за Авірона, первородного, він поклав його основи, а за найменшого, який залишився живим, встановив його брами.

And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the LORD, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it.

“At the cost of his firstborn son
he will lay its foundations;
