Вот печальная весть о Дамаске. Господь говорит, что так случится. Не быть Дамаску городом, но он превратится в груду развалин.
Жители покинут города Ароера, и стада будут бродить без присмотра в этих пустых городах, никто их не будет пугать.
Твердыня Ефрема будет уничтожена, власти Дамаска падут. То, что случилось с Израилем, будет и с Сирией. Все лучшие будут в неволе. Господь Всемогущий сказал, что это случится.

Они не будут смотреть на то, что сделали своими руками, не пойдут в сады и к алтарям, которые сделали сами для идолов.

Так случится потому, что вы забыли Бога, своего Спасителя, вы забыли, что Бог — место спасения вашего. Вы принесли хорошие лозы издалека, но даже если вы их посадите, они не будут расти.
