The Judgment on Moab
Concerning Moab. Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Woe unto Nebo! for it is spoiled; Kirjathaim is put to shame, it is taken; Misgab is put to shame and dismayed.

Кончилась слава Моава: люди в Есевоне замышляют зло против Моава: "Пойдём и истребим этих людей". Мадмена, ты тоже замолчишь: меч над тобою нависает.
Moab's praise is no more; in Heshbon they have devised evil against her: Come, and let us cut her off from [being] a nation. Thou also, O Madmen, shalt be cut down; the sword shall pursue thee.
Плач Оронаима слышен — плач отчаяния и великого разрушения.
A voice of crying from Horonaim; wasting and great destruction!
Уничтожен будет Моав, его дети будут молить о помощи.
Moab is destroyed; her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.
Люди Моава горько плачут, идя в Лухит; на дороге в Оронаим слышен плач боли и страдания.
For by the ascent of Luhith continual weeping shall go up; for in the descent of Horonaim is heard the anguish of the cry of destruction.
Бегите, чтобы жизнь спасти. Бегите, как перекати-поле несётся в пустыне.
Flee, save your lives, and be like a shrub in the wilderness.
Вы надеетесь на дела свои и на своё богатство, потому-то и ждёт вас плен. И вашего бога Хамоса тоже ждёт плен вместе со священниками его.
For because thou hast confided in thy works and in thy treasures, thou also shalt be taken, and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity, his priests and his princes together.
Придёт Разрушитель в каждый город, не уцелеет ни один из них, Долина погибнет, и опустеет равнина. Как Господь сказал, так и случится.
And the waster shall come upon every city, that not a city shall escape; and the valley shall perish, and the plateau shall be destroyed: as Jehovah hath said.
Солью поля Моава посыпьте, безжизненной пустыней станет страна, опустеют все города Моава, ибо в них не будет людей.
Give wings unto Moab, that she may flee and get away; and the cities thereof shall become a desolation, without inhabitant.
Плохо будет тем, кто не исполняет слов Господа. Горе тем, кто не убивает врагов своим мечом.
Cursed be he that doeth the work of Jehovah negligently, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood!
Моав не ведал несчастий, он, как вино, отстаивался, из чаши в чашу его не переливали, он плена не знал, поэтому и вкус в нём остался прежним, и запах его не изменился".
Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and hath settled on his lees; he hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste hath remained in him, and his scent is not changed.
Господь говорит: "Я скоро пошлю тех, кто выльет вас из ваших кувшинов, опустошит их и разобьёт на куски".
Therefore behold, days come, saith Jehovah, that I will send unto him pourers that shall pour him off, and shall empty his vessels, and break in pieces his flagons.
И тогда народ Моава познает позор из-за своего бога Хамоса. Люди Израиля верили Вефилю, и было им стыдно, когда Вефиль не помог. Так же будет и с Моавом.
And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel, their confidence.
"Вы не можете сказать: "Мы храбрые воины, мы в битве смелы".
How do ye say, We are mighty, and men of valour for the war?
Враг Моав осаждает, он войдёт в города и их разрушит. Лучшие юноши в этой бойне расстанутся с жизнью". Эта весть от Царя, чьё имя — Господь Всемогущий.
Moab is laid waste, and his cities are gone up [in smoke], and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the King, whose name is Jehovah of hosts.
"Близок конец Моава, скоро будет он уничтожен.
The calamity of Moab is near to come, and his affliction hasteth fast.
Живущие по соседству плакать о нём должны. Вы знаете, как славен Моав, так оплачьте его. Скажите: "Слава Моава и сила его прошли, могущество его пало".
All ye that are about him, bemoan him; and all ye that know his name, say, How is the strong staff broken, the beautiful rod!
Живущие в Дивоне, спуститесь с высот величия, сядьте на землю в пыль — близок уже Разрушитель, он уничтожит все укреплённые города ваши.
Come down from [thy] glory and sit in the drought, O inhabitress, daughter of Dibon; the spoiler of Moab is come up against thee, thy strongholds hath he destroyed.
Живущие в Ароере, стоя на краю дороги, смотрите на убегающих мужчин, на бегущих женщин, спрашивайте, что с ними стряслось?
Stand by the way, and watch, inhabitress of Aroer; ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth; say, What is done?
Будет Моав разрушен, будет он опозорен. На реке Арноне скажите, что уничтожен Моав.
Moab is put to shame; for he is broken down: howl and cry; tell it in Arnon, that Moab is laid waste.
Наказаны люди равнины; суд идёт по городам Халон, Яацу, Мофаф.
And judgment is come upon the country of the plateau; upon Holon, and upon Jahzah, and upon Mephaath;
Суд пришёл в города Дивон, Нево, Бет-Дивлафаим.
and upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Beth-diblathaim;
Суд пришёл в города Кариафаим, Бет-Гамул, Бет-Маон.
and upon Kirjathaim, and upon Beth-gamul, and upon Beth-meon;
Суд пришёл в Кериоф и Восор, во все города Моава, в близкие и далёкие.
and upon Kerijoth, and upon Bozrah, and upon all the cities of the land of Moab, far and near.
Отсечена сила Моава, рука сломана". Так говорит Господь.
The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, saith Jehovah.
"Моав считал себя выше Господа. Напоите его допьяна, упадёт он во рвоту свою, и будут люди над ним смеяться.
Make him drunken, for he magnified himself against Jehovah; and Moab shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision.
Над Израилем ты смеялся, Моав? Хотя Израиль не был пойман среди воров. Всегда ты, говоря об Израиле, смеялся и качал головою. Ты вёл себя, будто ты лучше Израиля.
For was not Israel a derision unto thee? Was he found among thieves, that as oft as thou didst speak of him, thou didst shake the head?
Оставьте, люди Моава, свои города, живите в скалах, будьте как голуби, вьющие гнёзда у входа в пещеру".
Leave the cities, and dwell in the rocks, ye inhabitants of Moab, and be like the dove, that maketh her nest in the sides of the cave's mouth.
"О гордости Моава мы слышали. Его гордость была непомерной. Надменен и слишком горд был Моав".
We have heard of the arrogance of Moab, -- [he is] very proud; -- his loftiness, and his arrogance, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart.
Господь говорит: "Я знаю, Моав был хвастлив и дерзок, но вся похвальба его — ложь. Он не в состоянии сделать того, о чём сам говорит.
I know his wrath, saith Jehovah; his pratings are vain: they do not as [they say].
И Я о Моаве плачу, о каждом в Моаве плачу, о людях Кирхареса.
Therefore will I howl for Moab, and I will cry out for all Moab: for the men of Kir-heres shall there be moaning.
Вместе с людьми Иазера Я об Иазере плачу. Севам, твои виноградники когда-то были до моря, до самого Иазера, но не пощадил Разрушитель твоего винограда.
O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for thee with more than the weeping of Jaazer: thy shoots passed over the sea, they reached to the sea of Jaazer. The spoiler is fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage.
Ушли и радость, и счастье из фруктовых садов Моава. Я остановил потоки вина в точилах. Песни давильщиков больше не слышатся — нет больше радостных криков.
And joy and gladness is taken away from the fruitful field and from the land of Moab; and I have caused wine to fail from the winepresses: they shall no more tread with shouting; the shouting shall be no shouting.
Плачут люди городов Есевона и Елеалы; их плач слышен до самого Яацы, их плач слышен из Сигора до Оронаима и Еглы; высохли даже воды Нимрима.
Because of the cry from Heshbon, unto Elaleh, unto Jahaz have they uttered their voice, from Zoar unto Horonaim, [unto] Eglath-shelishijah: for even the waters of Nimrim shall become desolations.
Я остановлю Моав от жертвоприношения на высотах, Я пресеку приношения жертв их богам". Так говорит Господь.
And I will cause to cease in Moab, saith Jehovah, him that offereth in the high place, and him that burneth incense to his gods.
"Я скорблю о Моаве, сердце Моё стонет — словно свирели играют похоронные песни. Я скорблю о людях Кирхареса, чьё богатство и деньги пропали.
Therefore my heart shall sound for Moab like pipes, and my heart shall sound like pipes for the men of Kir-heres; because the abundance that he hath gotten is perished.
У каждого обрита голова и борода острижена, руки у всех порезаны и кровоточат, всех спеленали траурные одежды.
For every head is bald, and every beard clipped; upon all the hands are cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth.
Плачут люди по мёртвым в Моаве; на каждой крыше, на каждой площади — повсюду скорбь, ибо Я разбил Моав, как пустой горшок". Так говорит Господь.
It is wholly lamentation upon all the housetops of Moab, and in the public places thereof; for I have broken Moab, like a vessel wherein is no pleasure, saith Jehovah.
"Моав растоптан, все плачут, сдался Моав и опозорился, люди над ним смеются, но от всего, что случилось, они исполнились страха".
They howl, How is it broken down! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! And Moab shall be a derision and a terror to all that are round about him.
Господь говорит: "Смотрите: с неба устремляется орёл. Он простирает крылья свои над Моавом.
For thus saith Jehovah: Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread forth his wings over Moab.
Падут города Моава, крепости будут взяты, будут воины Моава испуганы, как при родах бывают испуганы женщины.
Kerijoth is taken, and the strongholds are seized, and at that day the heart of the mighty men of Moab shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
Будет народ Моава уничтожен за то, что считал себя выше Господа".
And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he hath magnified himself against Jehovah.
Господь говорит: "Люди Моава, вас ждёт ужас, пропасти и ловушки.
Fear, and the pit, and the snare shall be upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith Jehovah.
Людей будет гнать ужас, и они будут падать в пропасти. А тот, кто выберется, попадёт в петлю. Я наведу на Моав время их наказания". Так говорит Господь.
He that fleeth from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that getteth up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon her, upon Moab, the year of their visitation, saith Jehovah.
"От сильных врагов бежали люди, остановились в Есевоне. Но вспыхнул пожар в Есевоне, городе царя Сигона, и уничтожил правителей и гордецов Моава.
They that fled stood under the shadow of Heshbon powerless; for a fire hath come forth from Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and hath consumed the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the sons of tumult.
Моав, тебе будет плохо. Погибли люди Хамоса, дочери и сыновья твои угнаны в плен.
Woe to thee, Moab! The people of Chemosh is undone; for thy sons are taken away in captivity, and thy daughters are captives.
