"Моисей, Я помогу израильскому народу отомстить мадианитянам, а после этого ты умрёшь".
Avenge the children of Israel upon the Midianites; afterwards shalt thou be gathered unto thy peoples.
И вот Моисей обратился к израильскому народу и сказал: "Выберите из числа ваших мужчин воинов, и Господь через этих воинов отомстит мадианитянам.
And Moses spoke to the people, saying, Arm from amongst you men for military service, that they go against Midian to execute Jehovah's vengeance upon Midian.
Выберите по 1000 человек от каждого израильского рода,
Of every tribe a thousand, of all the tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the war.
всего 12000 воинов от всех родов израильских".
And there were levied out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand by tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
Моисей послал эти 12000 человек сражаться и отправил с ними священника Елеазара. Елеазар взял с собой святыни, роги и трубы.
And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand by the tribe, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, and the holy instruments, even the alarm-trumpets in his hand.
Израильский народ сразился с мадианитянами, как повелел Господь, и убил всех мужчин.
And they warred against Midian, as Jehovah had commanded Moses, and slew all the males.
Среди убитых ими были пять Мадиамских царей: Евий, Рекем, Хур, Цур и Рева. Был также убит мечом и Валаам, сын Веора.
And they slew the kings of Midian, besides the others slain, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian; and Balaam the son of Beor they slew with the sword.
Израильский народ захватил в плен мадиамских женщин и детей, их овец, коров и другое имущество,
And the children of Israel took the women of Midian captives, and their little ones, and took for a spoil all their cattle and all their flocks and all their goods;
а после этого израильтяне сожгли все их города и деревни.
and all their cities in their settlements and all their encampments they burned with fire.
Захватив весь народ и весь скот,
And they took all the booty, and all the prey, of man and of cattle;
они привели их к Моисею, к священнику Елеазару и ко всему народу, и доставили всё захваченное во время войны в стан народа Израиля в долине Иорданской, в Моаве, против Иерихона.
and they brought to Moses and Eleazar the priest, and to the assembly of the children of Israel, the captives and the prey and the booty, to the camp in the plains of Moab, which are by the Jordan of Jericho.
Моисей, священник Елеазар и предводители народа вышли из стана навстречу воинам.
And Moses and Eleazar the priest and all the princes of the assembly went forth to meet them outside the camp.
Моисей был разгневан на военачальников, на возвратившихся с войны тысячников и сотников.
And Moses was wroth with the officers of the army, with the captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, who came from the service of the war;
"Зачем вы оставили женщин в живых? — сказал он им. —
and Moses said to them, Have ye saved all the women alive?
Эти женщины принесут беду мужчинам Израиля. Народ отвернётся от Господа, и повторится всё, что было при Валааме в Фегоре: на народ Господний снова нападёт мор.
Lo, these, through the counsel of Balaam, caused the children of Israel to commit sin against Jehovah in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague on the assembly of Jehovah.
Тотчас же убейте всех мадиамских мальчиков и всех женщин, имевших половые сношения с мужчинами.
And now slay every male among the little ones, and slay every woman that hath known man by lying with him,
Оставьте в живых только молодых девушек, которые никогда не имели половых сношений с мужчиной.
but all the children among the women that have not known lying with a man, keep alive for yourselves.
После этого все, кто убивал, оставайтесь за пределами стана в течение семи дней, оставайтесь за пределами стана, даже если вы лишь прикоснулись к мёртвому телу. На третий день вы и ваши пленники должны очиститься, то же самое сделайте и на седьмой день.
And encamp outside the camp seven days; whoever hath killed a person, and whoever hath touched any slain; ye shall purify yourselves on the third day, and on the seventh day, you and your captives.
Выстирайте всю свою одежду, вымойте всё, что сделано из кожи, шерсти или дерева, и очиститесь".
And every garment, and every vessel of skin, and all work of goat's hair, and every utensil of wood shall ye purify.
Потом к воинам обратился священник Елеазар и сказал: "Вот такие уставы дал Господь Моисею о тех, кто возвращается с войны.
And Eleazar the priest said to the men of war that had gone to the battle, This is the statute of the law which Jehovah hath commanded Moses.
Уставы же, касающиеся того, что можно положить в огонь, — другие. Кладите в огонь золото, серебро, медь, железо, олово и свинец,
Only the gold, and the silver, the copper, the iron, the tin, and the lead,
затем вымойте их водой, и они очистятся. Если какие-то вещи нельзя положить в огонь, вымойте их водой.
everything that passeth through the fire, ye shall make it go through the fire, and it shall be clean; only it shall be purified with the water of separation; and everything that cannot pass through the fire ye shall make go through the water.
На седьмой день выстирайте всю свою одежду и тогда очиститесь, а после этого можете войти в стан".
And ye shall wash your garments on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean; and afterwards ye may come into the camp.
"Пересчитай всех пленников, весь скот и всё имущество, захваченное воинами, ты, священник Елеазар и все предводители.
Take the sum of the prey that was taken, of man and of cattle, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the chief fathers of the assembly;
И раздели всё это между теми, кто ходил на войну, и остальным народом.
and divide the prey into halves, between them that conducted the war, who went out to the battle, and the whole assembly.
Возьми у тех, кто ходил на войну, часть имущества, ибо эта доля принадлежит Господу. Доля Господняя — по одному из каждых пятидесяти, будь то люди, коровы, ослы или овцы.
And thou shalt levy a tribute for Jehovah of the men of war who went out to the army, one soul of five hundred of the persons, and of the oxen, and of the asses, and of the small cattle.
Возьми всё это из той половины, которая принадлежит воинам, захватившим это на войне, и отдай священнику Елеазару, это — доля Господняя.
Of their half shall ye take it, and give it unto Eleazar the priest, for a heave-offering of Jehovah.
Из той половины, которая принадлежит народу, возьми по одному из каждых пятидесяти, будь то люди, коровы, ослы, овцы или любой другой скот, и отдай эту долю левитам, ибо левиты пекутся о священном шатре Господнем".
And of the children of Israel's half, thou shalt take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the oxen, of the asses, and of the small cattle, of every [kind of] beasts, and thou shalt give them unto the Levites, who keep the charge of the tabernacle of Jehovah.
Моисей и Елеазар исполнили всё, что Господь повелел Моисею.
And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
Воины захватили 675000 овец,
And the prey, the rest of the spoil, which the men of war had taken, was six hundred and seventy-five thousand sheep,
и 32000 женщин, которые не имели половых сношений с мужчинами.
and of human persons, of the women that had not known lying with a man, all the persons were thirty-two thousand.
Ходившие на войну получили 337500 овец
And the half, the portion of them that had gone out to the war, was in number three hundred and thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep,
и отдали 675 овец Господу.
and the tribute for Jehovah of the sheep was six hundred and seventy-five;
Воины получили 36000 коров и отдали 72 коровы Господу.
and the oxen were thirty-six thousand, and the tribute thereof for Jehovah, seventy-two;
Воины получили 30500 ослов и отдали 61 осла Господу.
and the asses were thirty thousand five hundred, and the tribute thereof for Jehovah, sixty-one;
Воины получили 16000 женщин и отдали 32 женщины Господу.
and the human persons were sixteen thousand, of whom the tribute for Jehovah was thirty-two persons.
Моисей передал все эти дары для Господа священнику Елеазару, как повелел ему Господь.
And Moses gave the tribute of Jehovah's heave-offering to Eleazar the priest, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
Это было из той половины для народа, которую Моисей взял у ходивших на войну.
And of the children of Israel's half, which Moses had divided, [taking it] from the men that served in the war,
Народ получил 337500 овец,
(now the half belonging to the assembly was of the sheep, three hundred and thirty-seven thousand five hundred,
и Моисей взял по одному из каждых пятидесяти захваченных, будь то животные или люди, и отдал их Господу. Он отдал их левитам, как повелел ему Господь, ибо те пеклись о шатре Господнем.
... of the children of Israel's half, Moses took one portion of fifty, of man and of cattle, and gave them to the Levites who kept the charge of the tabernacle of Jehovah; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
К Моисею пришли военачальники, тысячников и сотники
The Voluntary Offering
And the officers who were over the thousands of the host, the captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, came near to Moses,

и сказали ему: "Мы, слуги твои, пересчитали своих воинов, никого не пропустили,
and they said to Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war who were under our hand, and there is not one man of us lacking.
и приносим Господу дар от каждого воина: вещи, сделанные из золота, повязки на руку, браслеты, кольца, серьги и ожерелья, отдай это Господу, чтобы очистить нас.
So we present the offering of Jehovah, that which each one hath found, jewels of gold, chains, and bracelets, rings, earrings, and necklaces, to make atonement for our souls before Jehovah.
И вот Моисей взял все вещи, сделанные из золота, и отдал их священнику Елеазару.
And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of them, all manner of wrought jewels.
Золото, принесённое тысячников и сотниками, весило около 210 килограммов.
And all the gold of the heave-offering that they offered to Jehovah was sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty shekels, from the captains of thousands and the captains of hundreds.
Остальное же из своей доли, захваченной на войне, воины оставили себе.
(The men of war had taken spoil each one for himself.)
Моисей и священник Елеазар взяли золото у тысячников и сотников и положили его в шатре собрания. Это был дар Господу, служивший напоминанием народу Израиля.
And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the tent of meeting, as a memorial for the children of Israel before Jehovah.
