The Transfiguration
And Jesus was saying to them, “Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God after it has come with power.”

Шесть дней спустя Иисус взял Петра, Иакова и Иоанна и повёл их одних на высокую гору. И преобразился Он перед ними.
Six days later, Jesus took with Him Peter and James and John, and brought them up on a high mountain by themselves. And He was transfigured before them;
Его одеяние стало ослепительно белым, как никакая прачка на земле не могла бы выбелить.
and His garments became radiant and exceedingly white, as no launderer on earth can whiten them.
И явились тогда двое, это были Илия и Моисей и стали беседовать с Иисусом.
Elijah appeared to them along with Moses; and they were talking with Jesus.
Пётр заговорил, обращаясь к Иисусу: "Учитель! Хорошо, что мы здесь, давай поставим три шатра: один для Тебя, один для Моисея и один для Илии".
Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; let us make three tabernacles, one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
Пётр сказал это, потому что не знал, что делать, так как ученики были в сильном страхе.
For he did not know what to answer; for they became terrified.
Тогда явилось облако и накрыло их своей тенью, а из облака раздался голос: "Это Сын Мой Возлюбленный. Слушайте Его!"
Then a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is My beloved Son, listen to Him!”
И тут же, посмотрев вокруг, они больше никого рядом с собой не увидели, кроме Иисуса.
All at once they looked around and saw no one with them anymore, except Jesus alone.
Когда они спускались с горы, Он велел им никому не рассказывать о том, что они видели, пока Сын Человеческий не воскреснет из мёртвых.
As they were coming down from the mountain, He gave them orders not to relate to anyone what they had seen, until the Son of Man rose from the dead.
Они сохранили это событие в тайне, но между собой обсуждали, что значит "воскреснуть из мёртвых".
They seized upon that statement, discussing with one another what rising from the dead meant.
Они спросили Его: "Почему законоучители говорят, что сначала должен прийти Илия?"
They asked Him, saying, “Why is it that the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”
Иисус им ответил: "Да, сначала действительно должен прийти Илия, чтобы всё подготовить. Но почему написано о Сыне Человеческом, что Он многое должен выстрадать и быть отвергнут с презрением?
And He said to them, “Elijah does first come and restore all things. And yet how is it written of the Son of Man that He will suffer many things and be treated with contempt?
Но Я скажу вам, что Илия уже приходил, и поступили с ним, как хотели, как написано о нём".
“But I say to you that Elijah has indeed come, and they did to him whatever they wished, just as it is written of him.”
Когда они вернулись к остальным ученикам, то увидели вокруг них большую толпу и законоучителей, спорящих с ними.
All Things Possible
When they came back to the disciples, they saw a large crowd around them, and some scribes arguing with them.
Тотчас, увидев Иисуса, весь народ изумился и побежал, чтобы приветствовать Его.
Immediately, when the entire crowd saw Him, they were amazed and began running up to greet Him.
Он спросил их: "О чём вы с ними спорите?"
And He asked them, “What are you discussing with them?”
Человек из толпы ответил Ему: "Учитель! Я привёл к Тебе моего сына. Он одержим духом, который делает его неспособным говорить.
And one of the crowd answered Him, “Teacher, I brought You my son, possessed with a spirit which makes him mute;
Когда этот дух набрасывается на сына и кидает его на землю, на губах у него появляется пена, он скрежещет зубами и впадает в оцепенение. Я просил Твоих учеников изгнать духа, но они не смогли".
and whenever it seizes him, it slams him to the ground and he foams at the mouth, and grinds his teeth and stiffens out. I told Your disciples to cast it out, and they could not do it.”
Тогда Иисус обратился к ним: "О, неверный род! Как долго должен Я быть с вами? Как долго должен Я терпеть вас? Приведите его ко Мне".
And He answered them and said, “O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him to Me!”
Мальчика привели к Нему. Когда дух увидел Иисуса, то сразу же поверг мальчика в приступ падучей — тот упал на землю, бился в судорогах и испускал пену изо рта.
They brought the boy to Him. When he saw Him, immediately the spirit threw him into a convulsion, and falling to the ground, he began rolling around and foaming at the mouth.
Тогда Иисус спросил его отца: "Как давно это с ним?" Тот ответил: "С детства.
And He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood.
Много раз дух бросал его в огонь и в воду, чтобы погубить. Но если Ты сможешь что-нибудь сделать, сжалься над нами и помоги нам".
“It has often thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, take pity on us and help us!”
Иисус ответил ему: "Если сможешь?! Всё возможно для того, кто верует".
And Jesus said to him, “ ‘If You can?’ All things are possible to him who believes.”
Отец мальчика заплакал и сказал: "Я правда верую! Помоги мне, чтобы вера моя ещё более укрепилась!"
Immediately the boy’s father cried out and said, “I do believe; help my unbelief.”
Когда Иисус увидел, что к ним приближается толпа народа, Он сказал нечистому духу: "Я повелеваю тебе: выйди и никогда больше не входи в него!"
When Jesus saw that a crowd was rapidly gathering, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “You deaf and mute spirit, I command you, come out of him and do not enter him again.”
И злой дух, вскрикнув и повергнув мальчика в сильные судороги, вышел из него. Мальчик лежал как мёртвый, так что большинство людей подумало: "Он умер".
After crying out and throwing him into terrible convulsions, it came out; and the boy became so much like a corpse that most of them said, “He is dead!”
Но Иисус взял его за руку и помог ему подняться.
But Jesus took him by the hand and raised him; and he got up.
После того как Иисус вошёл в дом, ученики спросили Его наедине: "Почему мы не смогли изгнать духа?"
When He came into the house, His disciples began questioning Him privately, “Why could we not drive it out?”
Иисус ответил им: "Этот дух не может быть изгнан иначе, как молитвой".
And He said to them, “This kind cannot come out by anything but prayer.”
Выйдя оттуда, они пошли через Галилею. Иисус не хотел, чтобы кто-либо знал об этом,
Death and Resurrection Foretold
From there they went out and began to go through Galilee, and He did not want anyone to know about it.
потому что Он хотел быть наедине со Своими учениками и учить их. Он говорил им: "Сын Человеческий будет отдан в руки человеческие и Его убьют. А через три дня после того, как Его убьют, Он воскреснет".
For He was teaching His disciples and telling them, “The Son of Man is to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill Him; and when He has been killed, He will rise three days later.”
Но они не поняли эти слова, а спросить побоялись.
But they did not understand this statement, and they were afraid to ask Him.
Они пришли в Капернаум. Когда Иисус был в доме, Он спросил их: "О чём вы рассуждали дорогой?"
They came to Capernaum; and when He was in the house, He began to question them, “What were you discussing on the way?”
Но они молчали, потому что по дороге обсуждали между собой, кто из них самый великий.
But they kept silent, for on the way they had discussed with one another which of them was the greatest.
Тогда Он призвал двенадцать и сказал им: "Если кто-нибудь хочет быть первым, он должен быть последним из всех и слугой всем".
Sitting down, He called the twelve and said to them, “If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”
Взяв ребёнка, Он поставил его перед ними и, обняв, обратился к ученикам:
Taking a child, He set him before them, and taking him in His arms, He said to them,
"Кто принимает одного из этих маленьких детей во имя Моё, тот принимает Меня. И кто принимает Меня, тот принимает и Пославшего Меня".
“Whoever receives one child like this in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me does not receive Me, but Him who sent Me.”
Иоанн сказал Ему: "Учитель! Мы видели человека, изгоняющего бесов Твоим именем, хотя он и не один из нас, и попытались остановить его, потому что он не один из нас".
Dire Warnings
John said to Him, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.”
Но Иисус ответил: "Не останавливайте его, потому что никто, творящий чудо Моим именем, не сможет говорить обо Мне плохо.
But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him, for there is no one who will perform a miracle in My name, and be able soon afterward to speak evil of Me.
Ибо, кто подаст вам стакан воды напиться, потому что вы — ученики Христа, тот, истинно говорю, получит свою награду.
“For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because of your name as followers of Christ, truly I say to you, he will not lose his reward.
Тому же, кто побудит кого из малых сих, верящих в меня, согрешить, лучше было бы, если бы ему повесили на шею жернов и утопили в море.
“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe to stumble, it would be better for him if, with a heavy millstone hung around his neck, he had been cast into the sea.
И если рука твоя побуждает тебя согрешить, отсеки её. Лучше войти в жизнь увечным, чем иметь две руки и отправиться в ад, в огонь неугасимый.
“If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off; it is better for you to enter life crippled, than, having your two hands, to go into hell, into the unquenchable fire,
где червь неумолимо точит их и огонь никогда не угасает.
[where THEIR WORM DOES NOT DIE, AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED.]
И если твоя нога побуждает тебя согрешить, отсеки её. Лучше войти в жизнь хромым, чем иметь две ноги и быть ввергнутым в ад.
“If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off; it is better for you to enter life lame, than, having your two feet, to be cast into hell,
где червь неумолимо точит их и огонь никогда не угасает.
[where THEIR WORM DOES NOT DIE, AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED.]
И если твой глаз побуждает тебя грешить, вырви его. Лучше войти в Царство Божье с одним глазом, чем иметь два глаза и быть ввергнутым в ад,
“If your eye causes you to stumble, throw it out; it is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, than, having two eyes, to be cast into hell,
где червь неумолимо точит их и огонь никогда не угасает.
where THEIR WORM DOES NOT DIE, AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED.
