Jesus Heals the Man Born Blind
And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
Ученики Иисуса спросили Его: "Учитель, раз он родился слепым, то кто согрешил: он сам или его родители?"
And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
Иисус ответил: "Ни он, ни его родители, но родился он слепым ради того, чтобы Бог проявил Свою силу.
Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
Мы должны совершать деяния во имя Пославшего Меня, пока ещё день. Когда приходит ночь, никто не может работать.
I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
Сказав это, Он плюнул на землю, растёр пыль со слюной и помазал этим глаза слепого.
When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
Он сказал ему: "Пойди, омой лицо своё в купальне Силоам", что значит: "посланный". Тот пошёл, умылся и возвратился зрячим.
And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
Тогда соседи и те, кто привык видеть его просящим милостыню, сказали: "Не тот ли это человек, который, бывало, сидел там и просил милостыню?"
The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?
И одни говорили: "Да, это он!", другие: "Нет, это не он, этот человек просто похож на него". Он же говорил: "Я и есть тот самый слепой".
Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.
И тогда они спросили его: "Как ты обрёл зрение?"
Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened?
Он ответил: "Человек по имени Иисус смешал пыль со Своей слюной, помазал этим мне глаза и сказал: "Пойди, умойся в купальне Силоам". Я пошёл и умылся, и прозрел".
He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.
Люди спросили у него: "Где же Этот Человек?" Он ответил: "Не знаю".
Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not.
Тогда они отвели того, кто был раньше слепым, к фарисеям.
The Pharisees Investigate
They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind.

And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.
И фарисеи снова стали расспрашивать его, как он прозрел. Он сказал им: "Он натёр мне глаза грязью, я омыл лицо, и вот теперь вижу".
Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see.
Некоторые фарисеи стали говорить: "Этот Человек не от Бога, ибо Он не соблюдает субботу". Другие же говорили: "Как может грешник совершать такие чудеса, как эти?" И среди них разгорелся спор.
Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.
И они снова спросили у прозревшего: "Этот Человек вернул тебе зрение. Что ты можешь сказать о Нём?" И человек ответил: "Он — пророк".
They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet.
Но иудеи все же не хотели верить в то, что он был слеп и прозрел. Они послали за родителями прозревшего
But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight.
и спросили их: "Ваш ли это сын, который, как вы говорите, родился слепым? Как же он теперь зряч?"
And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see?
Родители его сказали в ответ: "Мы знаем, что это наш сын и что он был рождён слепым,
His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind:
но не знаем, как случилось, что теперь он зряч, и не знаем, кто дал ему зрение. Спросите у него самого! Он совершеннолетний и сам может за себя говорить".
But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself.
Его родители сказали так, потому что боялись иудейских предводителей, ибо те уже сговорились, что если кто-нибудь признает Иисуса Христом, тотчас будет изгнан из синагоги.
These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.
Потому-то родители прозревшего и сказали: "Он совершеннолетний, спросите у него!"
Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.
Тогда иудейские предводители снова призвали к себе прозревшего и сказали ему: "Воздай хвалу Богу, сказав правду, мы знаем, что Тот Человек грешник".
Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.
Тогда прозревший ответил: "Я не знаю, грешник Он или нет, я только знаю одно, что я был слеп, а теперь вижу!"
He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.
Тогда они спросили у него: "Что Он сделал с тобой? Как Он дал тебе зрение?"
Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes?
Он ответил: "Я уже сказал вам, но вы не стали слушать. Почему же вы хотите ещё раз услышать об этом? Или вы тоже хотите стать Его учениками?"
He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?
Тогда они стали поносить его, говоря: "Ты Его ученик, а мы ученики Моисея.
Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples.
Мы знаем, что Бог говорил с Моисеем, а откуда Этот Человек не знаем".
We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.
В ответ прозревший сказал им: "Странно, что вы не знаете, откуда Он, а Он дал мне зрение.
The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.
Мы знаем, что Бог не прислушивается к грешникам, а только к тем, кто предан Ему и исполняет Его волю.
Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
Никогда ещё не было слышно, чтобы кто-то дал зрение человеку, который родился слепым.
Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.
Если бы Этот Человек не был послан Богом, Он не смог бы ничего такого сделать".
If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.
В ответ они сказали ему: "Ты всегда был грешником, с самого рождения, и пытаешься поучать нас?" И выгнали его вон.
They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.
Иисус услышал, что они прогнали того человека из синагоги и, отыскав его, сказал: "Веришь ли ты в Сына Человеческого?" Тот сказал:
Spiritual Sight and Blindness
Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?

"А кто же это, Господи? Скажи мне, чтобы я мог поверить в Него".
He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?
Иисус сказал ему: "Ты Его уже видел и сейчас говоришь с Ним".
And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
И тот человек сказал: "Господи, я верую!". И поклонился Ему.
And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.
Иисус сказал: "Я пришёл в этот мир, чтобы свершить суд, чтобы незрячие прозрели, а зрячие ослепли".
And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
Некоторые из бывших с Ним фарисеев, услышав это, сказали Ему: "Что? Уж мы-то, наверное, не слепые?"
And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?
