My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
И это терпение должно оказать своё действие, так что вы достигнете совершенства и полноты, и не будет в вас изъяна.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Если у кого-то из вас недостаточно мудрости, то он должен испросить у Бога, Который щедро дарует людям и не ищет недостатков, и Бог даст ему.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
Сомневающийся думает о двух разных вещах одновременно и непостоянен в своих поступках.
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
Такой человек не должен думать, что получит от Господа что-либо.
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Брат, который в нужде, должен гордиться тем, что Бог дал ему богатство духовное.
Contrast of the Rich and Poor
Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:

Богатый же должен гордиться тем, что Бог послал ему смирение, ибо он исчезнет, подобно дикому цветку.
But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.
Солнце восходит, наступает палящий зной, и цветок увядает от зноя, лепестки его опадают, и погибает красота его. Так же и богатые исчезнут со всеми делами своими.
For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.
Блажен, кто подвергается испытаниям, ибо, пройдя через них, он получит венец жизни вечной, обещанной Богом тем, кто любит Его.
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Никто из подвергаемых искушению не должен говорить: "Это искушение послано Богом", ибо Бог не имеет ничего общего со злом и никого не искушает.
Perseverance in Temptation
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Так не позволяйте же себе обманываться, мои возлюбленные братья.

Всякий добрый и совершенный дар приходит свыше, от Отца, Создавшего свет небесный. Бог постоянен и неизменен.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Он решил сделать нас Своими детьми через истинное послание, чтобы мы стали самыми важными среди всех Его созданий.
Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
Возлюбленные братья, всегда стремитесь больше слушать, чем говорить, и не поддавайтесь гневу с лёгкостью,
Hearing and Doing
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

ибо гнев людской мешает жить праведно, как это угодно Богу.
For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
Так отрекитесь же от всякой нечистоты и зла вокруг и примите с кротостью учение Божье, насаждаемое в сердца ваши, ибо оно может спасти ваши души.
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
Поступайте согласно учению Божьему, а не просто внимайте ему бесцельно, ибо если вы только слушаете, то обманываете себя.
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Если кто-то только внимает учению Божьему, но не следует ему, то уподобляется тому, кто рассматривает своё лицо в зеркале:
For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
увидит себя, отойдёт и забудет тотчас, как выглядит.
For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
А кто внимательно изучает совершенный закон Божий, приносящий свободу людям, и ведёт себя согласно ему, применяя его на деле, а не забывает, выслушав, тот блажен будет в своих поступках.
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Если кто-то считает себя благочестивым, но не обуздывает своего языка, то он лишь обманывает себя, и всё его благочестие ничего не стоит.
If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
Истинное же благочестие, угодное Богу, ничем не запятнанное и чистое перед Богом и Отцом, выражается в заботе о вдовах и сиротах, нуждающихся в помощи, и в сохранении себя неосквернённым от мира.
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
