Моисей созвал весь израильский народ и сказал им: "Народ Израиля, слушайте законы и постановления, о которых я вам скажу сегодня, выучите эти законы и следуйте им.
The Ten Commandments Repeated
Then Moses summoned all Israel and said to them:
“Hear, O Israel, the statutes and the ordinances which I am speaking today in your hearing, that you may learn them and observe them carefully.
Then Moses summoned all Israel and said to them:
“Hear, O Israel, the statutes and the ordinances which I am speaking today in your hearing, that you may learn them and observe them carefully.
Господь, Бог наш, заключил соглашение с нами на горе Хорив.
“The LORD our God made a covenant with us at Horeb.
Господь заключил это соглашение не с нашими предками, а со всеми, кто жив здесь сегодня.
“The LORD did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, with all those of us alive here today.
У той горы Господь лицом к лицу говорил с вами из огня,
“The LORD spoke to you face to face at the mountain from the midst of the fire,
но вы испугались огня и не поднялись на гору, и потому я стоял между вами и Господом и говорил вам, что сказал Господь. А Господь сказал:
while I was standing between the LORD and you at that time, to declare to you the word of the LORD; for you were afraid because of the fire and did not go up the mountain. He said,
Я Господь, Бог ваш, вывел вас из Египта, где вы были рабами.
‘I am the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
Не делайте себе ни идолов, ни изображений, ни картин того, что высоко в небе, внизу на земле или глубоко под водой.
‘You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth.
Не поклоняйтесь никаким идолам и не служите им, ибо Я — Господь, Бог ваш. Я не терплю, чтобы Мой народ поклонялся другим богам. Согрешившие против Меня становятся Моими врагами, и Я накажу их. Я накажу их детей, внуков и даже правнуков.
‘You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me,
К тем же, кто любит Меня и исполняет Мои заповеди, Я буду милостив, буду милостив к их семьям на тысячи поколений!
but showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
Не клянитесь ложно именем Господним: тот, кто клянётся ложно именем Господним, виновен, и Господь не оправдает его.
‘You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.
Соблюдайте день субботний, день особый, как повелел Господь, Бог ваш.
‘Observe the sabbath day to keep it holy, as the LORD your God commanded you.
седьмой же день — день отдыха в честь Господа, Бога вашего, и потому в тот день пусть никто не работает — ни ты сам, ни твои сыновья и дочери, ни живущие в твоём доме чужестранцы, ни твои рабы и рабыни. Даже твои волы и ослы, и другой скот пусть не работает! Пусть твои рабы отдыхают, как отдыхаешь ты сам.
but the seventh day is a sabbath of the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter or your male servant or your female servant or your ox or your donkey or any of your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you, so that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.
Не забывайте, что вы сами были рабами в стране Египетской. Господь, Бог ваш, Своей силой великой вывел вас из Египта и освободил, и потому Господь, Бог ваш, велит вам навсегда сделать субботу святым днём!
‘You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God brought you out of there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm; therefore the LORD your God commanded you to observe the sabbath day.
Почитай отца своего и мать свою, как повелел тебе Господь, Бог твой, и если исполнишь эту заповедь, то будешь долго жить, и будет тебе хорошо в той земле, которую даёт тебе Господь, Бог твой.
‘Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, that your days may be prolonged and that it may go well with you on the land which the LORD your God gives you.
не желай жены ближнего своего, не желай ни дома его, ни земли, ни слуг его и служанок, ни волов его, ни ослов, не желай ничего, что принадлежит ближнему твоему!"
‘You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, and you shall not desire your neighbor’s house, his field or his male servant or his female servant, his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.’
Моисей сказал: "Господь дал вам все эти заповеди, когда вы все вместе были на горе, Господь говорил громогласно среди огня, туч и кромешной тьмы, и дав нам все эти заповеди, ничего больше не сказал, а записал Свои слова на двух каменных скрижалях и дал их мне.
Moses Interceded
“These words the LORD spoke to all your assembly at the mountain from the midst of the fire, of the cloud and of the thick gloom, with a great voice, and He added no more. He wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me.
И когда вы услышали голос из тьмы и гора заполыхала огнём, то ваши старейшины и другие предводители колен подошли ко мне
“And when you heard the voice from the midst of the darkness, while the mountain was burning with fire, you came near to me, all the heads of your tribes and your elders.
и сказали: "Господь, Бог наш, явил нам славу Свою и величие Своё, мы слышали, как Он говорил из огня, и теперь знаем, что человек может остаться в живых даже после того, как Бог говорил с ним!
“You said, ‘Behold, the LORD our God has shown us His glory and His greatness, and we have heard His voice from the midst of the fire; we have seen today that God speaks with man, yet he lives.
Но если мы ещё раз услышим, как Господь говорит с нами, то умрём, ибо этот ужасный огонь уничтожит нас! Мы не хотим умирать!
‘Now then why should we die? For this great fire will consume us; if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any longer, then we will die.
Не бывало ещё, чтобы живой Бог говорил из огня с человеком, как это случилось с нами, и чтобы тот человек остался в живых!
‘For who is there of all flesh who has heard the voice of the living God speaking from the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived?
Моисей, ты сам приблизься к Господу, Богу нашему, выслушай всё, что Он скажет, а потом перескажи нам всё, что Господь скажет тебе. Мы выслушаем тебя и исполним всё, что ты скажешь"".
‘Go near and hear all that the LORD our God says; then speak to us all that the LORD our God speaks to you, and we will hear and do it.’
"Господь услышал, что вы говорите, и сказал мне: "Я слышал, что говорит народ, и всё это правильно.
“The LORD heard the voice of your words when you spoke to me, and the LORD said to me, ‘I have heard the voice of the words of this people which they have spoken to you. They have done well in all that they have spoken.
Я хотел только, чтобы они перестали думать, как раньше, хотел, чтобы они почитали Меня и исполняли Мои заповеди от всего сердца! И тогда будет хорошо и им, и потомкам их во веки веков.
‘Oh that they had such a heart in them, that they would fear Me and keep all My commandments always, that it may be well with them and with their sons forever!
Пойди, скажи народу, чтобы разошлись по своим шатрам,
‘Go, say to them, “Return to your tents.”
а сам встань около Меня, и Я скажу тебе все заповеди, законы и предписания, которым ты должен их научить. Пусть они исполняют всё это в той земле, которую Я отдаю им во владение"".
‘But as for you, stand here by Me, that I may speak to you all the commandments and the statutes and the judgments which you shall teach them, that they may observe them in the land which I give them to possess.’
"Смотрите же, поступайте, как заповедал вам Господь, и неуклонно следуйте Богу!
“So you shall observe to do just as the LORD your God has commanded you; you shall not turn aside to the right or to the left.
Поступайте, как повелел вам Господь, Бог ваш, чтобы вам жить, и вам будет хорошо, и жизнь ваша будет долгой на той земле, которая будет вам принадлежать!"
“You shall walk in all the way which the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you will possess.
