Tribes beyond the Jordan Return
Then Joshua called the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh,
Then Joshua called the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh,
и сказал им: "Моисей был рабом Господа, и вы подчинялись всему, что он повелел вам. Вы также исполняли всё, что я вам приказывал.
and said unto them, Ye have kept all that Moses the servant of Jehovah commanded you, and have hearkened to my voice in all that I commanded you.
Всё это время вы поддерживали весь остальной народ Израиля. Вы неукоснительно исполняли все повеления Господа, Бога вашего.
Ye have not left your brethren these many days unto this day, and ye have kept the charge of the commandment of Jehovah your God.
Господь, Бог ваш, обещал дать народу Израиля мир. И вот теперь Господь исполнил то, что обещал, и вы можете идти по домам. Раб Господа, Моисей, дал вам землю на восточном берегу Иордана, и вы можете идти домой на эту землю.
And now Jehovah your God hath given rest to your brethren, as he said unto them; and now return, and get you unto your tents, unto the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of Jehovah gave you beyond the Jordan.
Но помните: продолжайте исполнять закон, который завещал вам Моисей. Любите Господа, Бога вашего, и исполняйте Его повеления, продолжайте следовать и служить Ему всем сердцем и всей душой".
Only, take great heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of Jehovah commanded you, to love Jehovah your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Потом Иисус попрощался с ними, и они разошлись по своим домам.
And Joshua blessed them, and sent them away; and they went to their tents.
Моисей дал землю в Васане одной половине колена Манассиина, а Иисус дал землю на западной стороне Иордана другой половине колена Манассиина и, благословив их, отослал домой.
And to half the tribe of Manasseh Moses had given [inheritance] in Bashan, and to the other half thereof had Joshua given among their brethren on this side the Jordan westward. And when Joshua sent them away to their tents, he blessed them also,
Он сказал: "Вы очень разбогатели, у вас много скота, золота, серебра и дорогих украшений. У вас много красивой одежды. Вам досталось великое богатство от врагов ваших. Разделите всё это между собой и идите по домам".
and spoke to them, saying, Return unto your tents with much wealth and with very much cattle, with silver, and with gold, and with copper, and with iron, and with clothing, in very great quantity; divide the spoil of your enemies with your brethren.
И люди из колен Рувима, Гада и Манассиина ушли от народа Израиля из Силома, находящегося в земле Ханаанской, и вернулись назад в Галаад, в свою собственную землю, которую по повелению Господа дал им Моисей.
And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go to the country of Gilead, into the land of their possession, of which they had become possessed, according to the word of Jehovah through Moses.
Сыны Рувима, Гада и Манассиина отправились в место, которое называлось Гелилот, в земле Ханаанской, в окрестностях реки Иордан, и поставили там красивый жертвенник.
The Offensive Altar
And they came to the districts of the Jordan that are in the land of Canaan; and the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh built there an altar by the Jordan, an altar of grand appearance.

And the children of Israel heard say, Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh have built an altar over against the land of Canaan, in the districts of the Jordan, separately from the children of Israel.
Весь народ Израиля очень рассердился на эти три колена. Они собрались вместе и решили идти на них войной.
And when the children of Israel heard [of it], the whole assembly of the children of Israel gathered together at Shiloh, to go up against them to war.
Народ Израиля послал нескольких человек к коленам Рувима, Гада и Манассиина. Ими руководил Финеес, сын священника Елеазара.
And the children of Israel sent to the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest,
Они также послали туда десять вождей колен Израиля, по одному человеку от каждого колена Израиля, которые были в Силоме.
and with him ten princes, of each father's house a prince, out of all the tribes of Israel; and each of them was head of a father's house, of the thousands of Israel.
Эти одиннадцать человек отправились в Галаад поговорить с людьми Рувима, Гада и Манассиина, и, придя туда, сказали:
And they came to the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, to the land of Gilead, and spoke with them, saying,
"Весь народ Израиля спрашивает вас: почему вы совершили такое против Бога Израиля? Почему отступили от Господа? Почему вы соорудили для себя жертвенник? Вы ведь знаете, что это против учения Бога!
Thus saith the whole assembly of Jehovah: What wickedness is this which ye have committed against the God of Israel, to turn away this day from following Jehovah, in that ye have built yourselves an altar, rebelling this day against Jehovah?
Помните, что случилось в Фегоре? Мы всё ещё страдаем от того греха. Из-за того греха Бог поразил народ Израиля болезнями, и мы всё ещё страдаем от них и сегодня.
Is the iniquity of Peor too little for us? from which we are not cleansed until this day, although there was a plague in the assembly of Jehovah.
А вы сейчас делаете то же самое! Вы идёте против Господа! Разве вы отказываетесь повиноваться Господу? Остановитесь, не делайте этого, чтобы Господь не прогневался на весь народ в Израиле.
And ye turn away this day from following Jehovah; and it will be, that since ye rebel this day against Jehovah, to-morrow he will be wroth with the whole assembly of Israel.
Если ваша земля не хороша для поклонения Богу, то приходите в нашу землю, в скинию Господа. Вы можете взять себе часть нашей земли и жить там. Но не отступайте от Господа, не ставьте другой жертвенник. У нас уже есть жертвенник Господа, Бога нашего, в скинии собрания.
Notwithstanding, if the land of your possession is unclean, come over into the land of the possession of Jehovah, where Jehovah's tabernacle dwelleth, and take possession amongst us; but rebel not against Jehovah, and rebel not against us, in building for yourselves an altar besides the altar of Jehovah our God.
Помните человека по имени Ахан, сына Зары... Он не послушался повеления о вещах, которые надлежало уничтожить. Один человек нарушил Божий закон, а наказан был весь народ Израиля. Ахан умер за свой грех, но умерло также и много других людей".
Did not Achan the son of Zerah commit a trespass in the accursed thing? and wrath fell on all the assembly of Israel, and he perished not alone in his iniquity.
В ответ на это люди из колен Рувима, Гада и Манассиина сказали:
And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh answered and said to the heads of the thousands of Israel,
"Господь, Бог наш! Господь, Бог наш! Господь знает, почему мы сделали это, и мы хотим, чтобы и вы тоже знали и могли судить о нашем поступке. Если вы считаете, что мы сделали что-то плохое, то убейте нас.
The God of gods, Jehovah, the God of gods, Jehovah, he knoweth, and Israel he shall know [it]; if it is in rebellion, or if in trespass against Jehovah, -- save us not this day!
Если мы нарушили закон Бога, тогда мы просим Самого Господа наказать нас.
-- that we have built for ourselves an altar to turn from following Jehovah, and if it is to offer up burnt-offering and oblation on it, and if to offer peace-offerings thereon, let Jehovah himself require it [from us];
Вы думаете, мы соорудили этот жертвенник для того, чтобы приносить жертвы всесожжения, хлебное приношение и жертвы содружества? Нет, не для этого мы воздвигли его. Мы боялись, что в будущем вы не примите нас, как часть своего народа, и что ваш народ скажет, что мы не можем молиться Господу, Богу Израиля.
and if we have not done it from fear of this thing, saying, In future your children will speak to our children, saying, What have ye to do with Jehovah the God of Israel?
Бог дал нам землю на другой стороне Иордана, а это значит, что река Иордан разделяет нас. Мы боялись, что когда вырастут ваши дети и станут править вашей страной, они забудут о том, что и мы были вашим народом, и скажут нам: "Вы, народ Рувима и Гада, не являетесь частью Израиля!". И тогда дети ваши не допустят наших детей чтить Господа.
Jehovah hath made the Jordan a border between us and you, ye children of Reuben and children of Gad, ye have no portion in Jehovah! And so shall your children make our children cease from fearing Jehovah.
И вот мы решили соорудить жертвенник, но не для приношения жертв и жертв всесожжения,
And we said, Let us now set to work to build an altar, not for burnt-offering, nor for sacrifice,
а чтобы показать нашему народу, что мы чтим того же Бога, что и вы. Этот жертвенник будет для вас, для нас и для всех наших будущих родов доказательством того, что мы служим Господу. Мы приносим свои жертвы, благодарения и жертвы всесожжения Господу. Мы хотим, чтобы ваши дети росли и знали, что мы, как и вы, тоже народ Израиля.
but to be a witness between us and you, and between our generations after us, that we might do service to Jehovah before him with our burnt-offerings, and with our sacrifices, and with our peace-offerings; that your children may not say to our children in future, Ye have no portion in Jehovah.
В будущем, если случится так, что дети ваши скажут, что мы не принадлежим Израилю, наши дети смогут сказать: "Смотрите! Наши отцы, которые жили до нас, поставили жертвенник, и он точно такой же, как жертвенник Господа в священном шатре. Но мы не пользуемся этим алтарём для жертвоприношений. Он — доказательство того, что мы часть Израиля".
And we said, If it shall be that in future they so say to us and to our generations, we will say, Behold the pattern of the altar of Jehovah which our fathers made, not for burnt-offering, nor for sacrifice, but as a witness between us and you.
Мы не хотим идти против Господа, не хотим отступить ныне от Него. Мы знаем, что единственный истинный алтарь это тот, который находится перед святой скинией, и он принадлежит Господу, Богу нашему".
Far be it from us that we should rebel against Jehovah, and turn this day from following Jehovah, in building an altar for burnt-offering, for oblation, and for sacrifice, besides the altar of Jehovah our God that is before his tabernacle.
Священник Финеес и вожди, бывшие с ним, услышали всё, что сказали сыны колен Рувима, Гада и Манассиина и поверили в то, что эти люди говорят правду.
And when Phinehas the priest and the princes of the assembly and the heads of the thousands of Israel that were with him heard the words that the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the children of Manasseh spoke, it was good in their sight.
Тогда священник Финеес сказал: "Теперь мы знаем, что Господь с нами, и что вы не ослушались Господа, и Он не накажет народ Израиля".
And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the children of Manasseh, This day we perceive that Jehovah is among us, because ye have not committed this trespass against Jehovah: now have ye delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of Jehovah.
После этого Финеес и вожди отправились домой. Они покинули народ Рувима и Гада на земле Галаада и вернулись в Ханаан. Они пришли к народу Израиля и рассказали им, что произошло.
And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, and the princes, returned from the children of Reuben, and from the children of Gad, out of the land of Gilead, to the land of Canaan, to the children of Israel, and brought them word again.
И израильтяне тоже обрадовались и возблагодарили Бога, и решили не выступать войной против народа Рувима, Гада и Манассиина и не разрушать землю, на которой жили эти народы.
And the thing was good in the sight of the children of Israel, and the children of Israel blessed God, and no more said that they would go up in warfare against them, to destroy the land in which the children of Reuben and the children of Gad dwelt.
